Swift Resolution of Insurance Claim

Given the slating that BeValued gets on Trustpilot I was very concerned when I heard they would be dealing with my insurance claim on a laptop. However I need not have been worried as the claim was resolved quickly and efficiently. The phone was answered, I was updated and very quickly received a new laptop. Becky was especially helpful. Thank you.

No empathy, no urgency, no memory

We have had a horrendous experience with BeValued. After a good start, being passed to them by LV, we quickly found that they took every opportunity to pay as little as possible, whilst taking their sweet time in replying to anything.

The first settlement they offered was woefully inadequate. Half the items were simply offered as an Amazon voucher and were less than what the item was selling for on Amazon. Every time we challenged this it resulted in at least 1 week before they revised the offer. We were then offered an alternative item, I accepted that and then we heard nothing else. A week later, new settlement offer, with the new item gone and the old one back. Again, half the items as Amazon vouchers for less then the Amazon selling price. They then state in their email that I need to pay the excess, despite having already confirmed with me that this was done with LV. I'm sure they have no memory of previous conversations. Every new settlement offer is inadequate and the beginning of yet another long process of calls and emails.

Every phone call to them is a minimum of 1hr. It'll be a 30 minute wait to speak to them and then the agent will put you on hold for another 30 minutes whilst they 'look in to alternative items'. Once they're back with you they can't tell you what they did as it now needs to go to 'approvals'.

1 month in and still no adequate settlement.

I'm truly appalled with their service. We were broken in to and our precious items stolen. BeValued have made this whole process more traumatic and they have no empathy or urgency.

Perfect job, really pleased!

I was referred to this company by my home insurance. They repaired a smashed screen on my iPad & dented frame of iPad. The service was absolutely second to none. My iPad is like new and pristinely handled as if it had just come from Apple! Well done guys for a brilliant service - thank you!

Desperately disappointed!!

Desperately disappointed!!! Be Valued were sent to my mother's home to assess damage to her hob after she dropped the extractor fan vent on it and damaged it. The engineers sent tried forcing the hob out of the worktop with a screwdriver and damaged worktop causing £288 worth of damage. They denied the damage despite being witnessed causing it and conducted a review to evaluate my complaint without my knowledge or input and surprisingly found in their own favour. AXA and Be Valued, you are shameful and deceitful!

No problems whatsover!
I was quite worried seeing the poor ratings when my Aviva claim was sent to Bevalued. Although their website app to upload supporting documents was a little clunky, my claim was approved and paid in just over a week. I got a fair value for all my replacement items as well.

Be Valued were the only approved repairer for through my insurance claim. Despite making it clear I need my data backing up before the repair they didn't do this and wiped the data without my consent.
I am now left with years of lost data (partly my fault for not backing-up my data frequently) although I made it clear over email and phone if they can't repair my screen without wiping the data then not to proceed!
Also gave a maximum 2 week time scale and they took 3 weeks.

Great service - so efficient …

Contrary to many of the views expressed ours was completely positive - on an evening out my wife lost one of her hearing aids ( mask removal the reason we think) - we could not find it anywhere so made a claim on our household insurance policy with LV - they in turn within one day put this to BeValued to be settled - within four hours of noting this claim i was called by BeValued and in a further three days the claim was settled to our complete satisfaction - well done LV and BeValued - and thank you for making a traumatic event into one that was settled so efficiently.

I have never known a more shifty and…

I have never known a more shifty and lying company as this one. Despite continuing promises to phone us back and arrange for an engineer to inspect our freezer, over 10 days later and several calls (to them) we have seen anyone or had a call back. They could not lie straight in bed if they tried. LV need to drop them like a hot brick otherwise they will lose customers, as they are excellent but BeValued is taking their reputation down to the gutter.

No redeeming qualities

I suspect that More Than use Bevalued because they are 'cheap as chips' and it shows. They have staffing issues to the extent that More Than staff are 'banned' from calling them to help with your claim. They always have a hold to speak to them and suggest you email instead but then ignore your emails.

Sadly, the only reason you're ever likely to hear about them is when your insurer puts you in touch and it's too late.

On the whole, the staff I have spoken to have been fairly unhelpful and constrained by processes designed to make the customer give up but I would say that Bree probably deserves a significant payrise and promotion as she is the only one I have spoken to yet who seems to care about customers in any way.

I cannot believe nationwide use these…

I cannot believe nationwide use these people.
We had damage to electrical items due to a power surge.
No drama with nationwide.
Days later I call nationwide as I had not heard anything. The poor girl was on the phone aged and did not get through.
I left it with her and she calls me later to report the BValued had not received her email.
Days later I have to go through the same process as BValued have still not contacted me.
They promised her they would be in touch.
They did and an engineer was sent out to confirm a repair or replacement.
A report was sent instantly on the damage and one week on I have still not heard a thing.
I contacted nationwide Friday an BValued informed them that they were expecting a decision that day.
Utter crap and delaying tactics.
They know the cost of the part. Cost of labour. Cost of new item.
It doesn't take a professor in mathematics to work out which of the two choices, repair or replacement, is the most cost effective.
Personally theis company should not be allowed to operate. They cause nothing but misery. This is on top of the worry you have already had due to original incident.
I appreciate insurance fraud goes on but it's not everyone commiting it so they need to be far more compassionate and helpful.
At the very least communicate with the customer

Very poor company

Simply appalling process and I am very surprised major insurers continue to use these people as they represent them so poorly. Dealing with this company for my own claim has been very disappointing experience. They have no concept of proper customer service and their actions would have been laughable in so many places if it was not so serious. I could not recommend them to anybody.

AXA as frustrated with them as we are…

You know it’s bad when the complaints department at AXA (who passed us on to BeValued) are as frustrated with them as we are. AXA - do yourselves a favour and stop referring customers to BeValued.

I have been trying to contact via email…

I have been trying to contact via email and as yet received no communication. As we had spoken to Axa who was very helpful with our claim, this I can not say with this company. It is now near to a month since we had contact and can not progress with the fire damage until this is sorted.

First time claiming on my contents…

First time claiming on my contents insurance with LV, claim handled by Bevalued.
Imogen was helpful and responsive throughout.
With a pay out agreed fairly within a week.
I will look to revinsurev with LV in future.
Many thanks to Imogen sorting what was a stressful situation for me.

Complete disgrace

Complete disgrace I was passed over from my insurance company for bevalued to settle my payout the prices they came with are ridiculous. Just a couple of examples for you

2 fishing rods worth £700 they tried to replace with something at £61.99

A fishing pole worth £3100 they tried to replace with a pole at £1600

Missed of two top kits worth £200

Just to add I’m covered on my insurance for the full recommended retail price with my insurer, this is also stated on their website that they do the same, in the end when we worked out the difference nearly £3000 short of what angling direct quoted for it to be replaced, quite a lot when the entire claim is just short of £8000, read your email carefully they will try their best to do you over

I have Barclays insurance

I have Barclays insurance, my laptop was dropped in bedroom and cracked screen. Powered on fine just screen damage. Not bevalued has reported that the laptop has excessive liquid damage and now my claims void. Powerplay direct limited sell the laptops on for profit, so I assume it’s best to keep it and say it’s in repairable. I’ll be taking legal action against Barclays

Be Value will not honour agreement and prices quoted.

Be value keep on changing the amount they want me to pay.
they do not honour the quote given.
they will try to bluff you to pay more for the same replacement and will not even hear your side of the argument.
YOU are left with no choice but agree to pay....
I dealt with Tyron and others and they all are trained not to be fair or negotiate.
