If I could give Ascent 0 stars I would. They were the sellers solicitor in the purchase of our home and they were absolutely diabolical. Repeatedly told our solicitors they had requested documents from the Freeholder when they hadn’t, not replying to enquiries etc. causing delays over 9 months on a purchase that should have taken 28 days (corporate sale). STAY CLEAR OF ASCENT.

Earlier in the day I spoke with someone at Ascent Legal who was not willing to listen to my issues nor address any proposal. He was very distant and uncooperative. I then rang Santander, after which I was back with Ascent, but this time with Claire, whom I found very co-operative. We worked through my current situation and proposal. She then checked through all manner of stuff, to ensure everything was set in place for senior management review. I found her conduct both professional and empathetic. Claire is a credit to Ascent.

A phone call I had been dreading was handled perfectly by Claire McCusker, she was professional and showed empathy beyond belief and helped me through some tricky issues I was having. I think Philipa needs to be in the Mental health team or be the team’s therapist because she definitely is more than empathetic. No one in my life has been that patient with me than she has been looking from my background. I do not normally do this but just a big thank you to ascent and Philipa most importantly .

Harry came to our house today and from the minute he walked in the door he was nothing short of absolutely amazing. He truly listened to everything we had to say bandage us feel totally comfortable talking to him about everything. He really cared about helping us. After constantly worrying about this situation for over a year we now feel so much better about it all. He is a credit to this company and zi would happily recommend him to anyone. Thanks again.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The worse company you will ever have to deal with. I have been contacting them since the start of January to pay off my loans. I made a total of 6 calls without them sorting out my issue. They kept telling me someone will call me back in the next couple of days. No phone call, nothing. I then put in an official complaint end off January. They said within 5 days they'll come round to resolving this. Still no answer. Then today they send s county court judgement and additional fee to pay on top of the loan. I contact them again. They said the case worker is still not available (shock) it's been 6 weeks and they have not once attempted to resolve the issue. They are the worst company I have dealt with in my entire life. They are making life hell and will do nothing about sorting out the issue at hand. If you have to deal with them then I'm sorry. They won't respond to emails, won't respond to complaints and their advisors over the phone will be the most useless people you have to deal with. My case handler Emma never seems to be working. It's as if she doesn't exist

I am absolutely appalled by the handling of my account by Ascent Legal. Despite having a payment plan in place and making regular payments as agreed, I received multiple letters claiming legal action had been initiated against me. This included threats that I would lose my home.
When I contacted the original creditor, they confirmed that the payment plan was still active and up to date, leaving no explanation for Ascent Legal's unnecessary and distressing actions.
Their behaviour has caused immense stress during an already difficult time, and their lack of professionalism is shocking. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before dealing with this company
