0 Star – The Worst Medical Agency

Speed Medical has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. They were instructed through ARAG Medical Expenses to manage my medical care after an RTA in February 2024, and they have done nothing but make my physical and mental health worse, damage my ability to work, and put me under severe financial hardship.

I genuinely cannot understand how a company called Speed Medical operates so slowly, carelessly, and incompetently.

Endless Delays & Appalling Organisation

From months-long delays to completely inappropriate lead times, nothing was handled properly. I waited three months just to be sent to an “expert” who saw me for less than five minutes. Then it took another three months to arrange a second appointment — where I waited over 90 minutes past my scheduled time.

Failed Referrals & Cancelled Surgery

It took months to be seen by a wrist specialist, who confirmed I needed surgery urgently. I was told it would be done within weeks. Instead, two surgery dates were cancelled, and I am STILL waiting — over a year after they knew surgery was needed.

Incorrect Bookings & Totally Inconvenient Locations

Appointments were constantly arranged in the wrong places, often nowhere near where I live. I even turned up for a neck injection only to find it had been booked at the wrong location. Over and over again, I was sent here, there, and everywhere with zero consideration for my injuries.

No Care, No Communication, No Accountability

Throughout this entire experience, Speed Medical have shown no concern for the impact they have had on my life. The service has caused real deterioration in my physical health, increased pain, massive stress, and financial difficulties — and yet their staff acted like none of this mattered.

A Company I Will Never Use Again

I am now with a new solicitor, and I have explicitly told them NEVER to use Speed Medical for anything to do with my case. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, especially those already dealing with trauma or serious injuries.

Speed Medical has completely failed in every aspect of their duty. My experience has been nothing short of shocking, and the damage caused will take a long time to repair.

Avoid them at all costs.

0 Star – ARAG Has Caused Me Nothing but Stress, Delays, and Hardship

God help you if ARAG is appointed to handle your medical and legal support after a road traffic accident. They were instructed through my motor legal expenses insurance after an RTA in February 2024 (not my fault), and their involvement has been nothing short of disastrous.

ARAG appointed Speed Medical to manage my treatment — a company just as incompetent and unacceptable to deal with — and between the two of them, they have completely failed me. I am now 22 months post-accident with still no meaningful progress in treating my injuries.

I Spent Nearly Two Years Chasing Them

I constantly had to chase both ARAG and Speed Medical for updates. Not once did ARAG proactively contact me. My case was passed from person to person, department to department, with no continuity, no accountability, and no care. I ended up doing THEIR jobs for them just to try to move things forward.

The Complex Case Department Was No Better

Eventually, ARAG moved me to their “complex case department.” The service was just as poor. Repeated promises that were never kept. Reassurances that went nowhere. More delays, more excuses, more deterioration in my health and livelihood.

Senior Management Dismissed My Pleas for Help

After three formal complaints, I finally spoke to a partner at ARAG. His “solution” was a quick apology over the phone — as if that would erase 18 months of suffering. When I questioned how they intended to put things right and actually manage my case properly, his attitude was essentially:
“If you don’t like it, go somewhere else.”

So I did. And thank God I did.

My New Solicitor Has Made More Progress in 6 Weeks Than ARAG Did in 18 Months

This speaks volumes. ARAG left me physically, mentally, and financially worse off. My treatment was delayed beyond belief. Appointments were mishandled. Surgery was delayed and cancelled repeatedly. Reports weren’t followed up. Settlement updates weren’t passed to me. They even forgot to reply to my emails for over a week because they were “too busy.”

A Company That Makes Everything Harder, Not Easier

ARAG is paid to make the aftermath of an accident easier for injured clients. Instead, they made it significantly worse.
If your injuries are even slightly complex, prepare to suffer:

Physically – delayed treatment, cancelled appointments, deterioration of your condition

Mentally – constant stress, no communication, endless chasing

Financially – difficulties with work, delays in progressing your claim, zero urgency

The level of incompetence, lack of care, and continuous mistakes is unbelievable.

I would never recommend ARAG to anyone. Their failures have had a major impact on my life, and I only wish I had moved to a competent solicitor sooner.

Zack and Callum was very helpful and friendly whilst choosing my sofa for my new flat. Very informative and answered all my questions with patience and ease. Would highly recommend a visit here very easy and got exactly what I was after
