Well done to Lewis and the team at Evans Halshaw Durham!

On Saturday 13th September, we drove from South Shields to Evans Halshaw Durham after seeing a reasonably priced Dacia on Autotrader. We hadn’t made an appointment as we were just starting to look around, but we were guided to Lewis Anderson, Sales Executive, who provided all the relevant information and accompanied us on a test drive. It was clear that Lewis was extremely knowledgeable and fully aware of the information we required.

We decided to buy the Dacia, along with the 2-year warranty, and we are planning to opt for the 2-year service and MOT bundle.

What I particularly liked about Lewis Anderson:
a) Great communication via email and phone, always prompt and clear
b) Extremely knowledgeable, explaining everything clearly without a high-pressure sales pitch
c) Personalized approach, tailoring advice, and recommendations to our specific needs
d) Honest and trustworthy, giving clear answers and not pushing unnecessary extras

On Monday 15th September, we were met by Lewis to finalise everything prior to collecting the car.

It was fantastic to have such a smooth and positive experience at Evans Halshaw Durham. Buying a car has rarely been this enjoyable in the past.

Well done to Lewis and the team at Evans Halshaw Durham!

Mediterraneo Hotel Hersonissos

The hotel location is quite good, a short walk to the beach, shops and tavernas.

The reception area, and bars (inside & out) and the restaurant is very clean. The buffet food and drinks give us plenty of choices. The staff were lovely too.

The pool area and pool bar/café is very good too. plenty of sun loungers, although very basic.

Accommodation:
I can only comment on our room, and I'm struggling to give this one star.
Our room 152 (I think) is very dated and desperately in need of maintenance.
The shower and bath both need renewing
Air conditioning was very old and very noisy, luckily we didn't really need it! 'dirty'
The bed sheets and towel, I'm sure were supposed to be white, very old gray looking.
The room was up 60 steps with no lift access, so this was an unexpected difficulty for us.
Insects all over the bathroom, so we used the washing facility's downstairs (communal area) some of the time, as the bathroom felt unclean and uncomfortable.

I wouldn't recommend to anyone that thinks it's a 4 star hotel because you will be disappointed. As per other review.

We found that all of the staff were very pleasant.

Maintain the rooms to a higher standard, renew the sheets and towels, and pre advice customers about room accessibility, especially the elderly, them with mobility issues, disabled and them with children, that there is no lift, then possibly a 4****

Konstantin Beach Hotel (Alikes

We had a fabulous week in Alikes. Beautiful scenery and people.

This is a beautiful and quite location, Mr Konstantin and his family and staff were very friendly and professional, the rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless.

We were wedding guests so we didnt use the all inclusive much, as we have planned boat trips etc. and met friends most nights.

The food that we did have was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Jet2 should review and update hotels info more regularly, as some guests were rightly disappointed as I would have been if using all inclusive facilities etc.

NO ENTERTAINMENT
NO GYM

The food will not be sufficient / adequate for most children.

Yes we would go back (as a couple, not family), but we would probably use this hotel as either bed and breakfast or half board.

We love Mr Konstantin, he meets and greets you, he serves you and he cleans, what a great host. 👍

Jet2 Holiday Voucher Policy?

We have recently returned from our holiday in Spain Estival El Dorado Resort. When rebooking our 2023 holiday to Konstantin Beach Hotel - Alykes, Zante Greece, I could NOT find our £60 voucher. Typically a day later I have now located it, and I understand it had to be used at the same time of booking. Customer service said we cannot use this after booking. It's £60 for goodness, I've spend over £8000 on two holidays with Jet2, so this is a little disappointing.
