Fantastic furniture but process could have been better
I ordered two sofas and an armchair from W and H at the end of June. They took longer to arrive than the 12 weeks specified and I had to contact the company to chase up what was happening when the predicted completion date came and went. At this point I read the bad reviews and became worried about having ordered with W and H. I got responses to my emails within a couple of days though again no proactive contacts from W and H to let me know when the sofas and chair were completed and ready to ship. Shipping was problematic also as it was some time after the sofas were ready that I got a date and in the interim the location of the furniture was unclear - again, somewhat concerning. In late November however W and H became more proactive in keeping me informed about delivery and a change of delivery service on their part. Once the change had taken place, the sofas and chair arrived pretty quickly. In the end it was around 5 months between ordering and receiving the furniture. However, now that it has arrived, I am very pleased with it. Both sofas and the armchair are beautifully made and great quality. All in all I am glad that I bought from W and H. It just would have been good to have been kept updated about completion and delays by the company. My sense is that they have been badly hit by covid and like many other companies, by Brexit 😠 also. Nonetheless I am very happy with what I have bought and if the reviews picked up, I would consider buying from them again. One thing I would add is that multiple reviews from four and five years ago on Trust Pilot is actually unhelpful as it looks a bit suspicious, so anyone posting about a purchase made long ago would be better not posting. Reviews from people who have bought recently and who are happy with their product would be much more useful.
