Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company! Please, do yourselves a favour and DO NOT contact these people for any work in your property.
I called at 12:15pm for a gas engineer to look at my leaking boiler and was told that someone would be with me between 15:00 and 17:00. I waited until 17:30 and no show...I called the number again, but no answer (it's a 24hr service). When I checked their website, the number has been changed? How hard is it to phone the customer and give an update if you were not going to show up?
Avoid at all costs, unless you want to be let down...

What a great company AO is..

What a great company AO is! Excellent service as always by the delivery/fitter people and the customer service is second to none!
Ive been buying most of my white goods from AO over the years and have never been disappointed...well done to all at AO!

I ordered 3 double panel radiators

I ordered 3 double panel radiators, but they were TOO big and wouldn't fit. I rang to say that I would like to return them and re-order single panel radiators from Plumbworld instead. I was amazed that I had to find my own courier and pay for the return, at a cost of £96!
This is outrageous really when most of the competitors simply send you an email with a pre-paid returns label! An expensive lesson learned NOT to use Plumbworld in the future for big purchases...poor show Plumbworld..

I made a repair enquiry using Chipsaway…

I made a repair enquiry using Chipsaway website. I was then sent an email confirming my request and was appointed a local repairer advising me that I would be contacted within the next working day. I then uploaded the photos of the scuffs and scratches that I wanted repaired. A week later and I’m still waiting for anyone to contact me. This is very bad practice and does not bode well for agreeing to a repair with Chipsaway..There is NO excuse for not communicating with a potential customer, it just comes across as very unprofessional and alarm bells start ringing about potential problems later on if agreeing to have work done on my car.
Sorry Chipsaway, you’ve lost a potential customer here..

Delivery nightmare from Wickes

I ordered all the materials for delivery to build a stud wall in the garage.When the delivery arrived it was missing the 5 MDF boards I had ordered and was told by the driver that they were not in stock. I telephoned customer services and when I eventually got through I was refunded for the missing MDF boards and told to reorder them, which I did.
When the order arrived 2 days later I only recieved 3 MDF boards and was told by the driver they were out of stock! I again telephoned customer services and told them to cancel the missing boards and to refund me for them and was told this would be done there and then. 5 days later I am still waiting for the refund and am having great difficulty getting through on the phone..Meantime, Wickes holds on to my money for goods they promised to deliver, but failed on two occassions.
Now, why does a big company like Wickes take online orders, but fail to deliver after receiving payment. Looking through some of these reviews, I can see I'm not the only one...there are LOADS of similar complaints. I have lost all faith in Wickes sorry, I shall look elsewhere for my future DIY needs...meanwhile Wickes still keep hold of my money..is this legalised theft?
