Delivery nightmare from Wickes
I ordered all the materials for delivery to build a stud wall in the garage.When the delivery arrived it was missing the 5 MDF boards I had ordered and was told by the driver that they were not in stock. I telephoned customer services and when I eventually got through I was refunded for the missing MDF boards and told to reorder them, which I did.
When the order arrived 2 days later I only recieved 3 MDF boards and was told by the driver they were out of stock! I again telephoned customer services and told them to cancel the missing boards and to refund me for them and was told this would be done there and then. 5 days later I am still waiting for the refund and am having great difficulty getting through on the phone..Meantime, Wickes holds on to my money for goods they promised to deliver, but failed on two occassions.
Now, why does a big company like Wickes take online orders, but fail to deliver after receiving payment. Looking through some of these reviews, I can see I'm not the only one...there are LOADS of similar complaints. I have lost all faith in Wickes sorry, I shall look elsewhere for my future DIY needs...meanwhile Wickes still keep hold of my money..is this legalised theft?
