Many failures and obscure error messages
What sucks the most is the reoccurring problems to use the service with an ordinary web browser. At Instagram they apply highly experimental server side counter-measures to tell humans and bots apart, and those fail and block you with a very poor error message: """There was a problem with logging you in to Instagram. Please try again soon."""
Recently, the server's login page couldn't even be reached for days because of a redirection error.
Additionally, in attempts at preventing you from browsing galleries without being logged in, they show an error message and claim an account isn't available anymore.
It happens that a hash tag gallery may not be browsable, because someone has recently reported a post. Why don't they simply hide the post and review it?
Overall, they don't do enough to battle spammers and fake accounts. Those dump their spam posts anywhere, particularly with completely unrelated hash tags and posts that are clearly recognizable as spam.
