Disappointing - avoid at all costs
I joined the plan in January 2021 after a trial week and I initially found the plan quite good. Lots of calories to eat although I did struggle to get the 10k steps in each day. I found the videos very very boring and it soon became apparent that there wasn't any feedback to be had after sending in my measurements each week. The academy was very strict and I witnessed several people being told not to post anything negative - posts were soon monitored and if anyone questioned anything they were either told to trust the process or kicked out. Towards week 7/8 I lost my mojo and it felt like there wasn't alot of genuine support out there for people who were struggling. It certainly didn't cure my binge eating and despite being dressed up as a lifestyle plan, it's still a diet at the end of the day.
I found the constant barrage of emails very annoying and soon found myself not bothering to read them. ONe caught my eye though - reading "Dan Jones died" was quite a shock and I was utterly disgusted to realise that this was clickbait.
I cancelled my direct debit after 10 weeks I think and I left the plan almost a stone heavier, and more miserable than when I started. As weeks went on I still kept an eye on Dan's facebook and tiktok and it makes me really angry that I was taken for a fool and conned out of my hardearned money. There is no support, all Dan wants is fame and its obvious that his latest venture is just another way of trying to hit the big time. He seems to care more about the numbers than his actual members. His advice on social media is worrying and his claims are outrageous. I saw his video stating that every obese person is overweight because of a trauma. Nope, not me - I had a lovely childhood, there has been no trauma. I just eat too much!
I've been too scared to post this review for some time now because of the backlash against ex-members and the way we are all labelled trolls. I am not a troll, I am a genuine, disappointed exmember who had a crap time on the plan and I hope that other people who are thinking of signing up can read this and think before doing so. There is a lot of information out there so I would suggest do your research and don't fall for the bs.
