THE PLAN DOESN'T WORK!
There are a lot of reviews on here about Dan, and whilst he is the main face of the plan, and the main problem with the plan, I wanted to leave a review about the plan itself.
IT DOESN'T WORK!
I'm very big and needed to loose a lot of weight/fat/whatever term you want to use. On starting the plan, I received a calorie limit (although it's advertised as a target) that was probably higher than I was on previously. But I went with it. You know, "Trust the process" and all that. I also made sure to stay above the steps target.
After 5 weeks of gaining weight (we're not allowed to mention that though as he demonises the scales) and centimetres each week, I reached out to Daniel to ask for help. Nothing came of this... I guess I didn't have a big enough social media following as other people (apparently on the same plan as me) who document everything on TikTok get daily check ins and visits. I couldn't even get a single email.
As the daily/weekly plan emails started to be used for clickbait promotions for his pre-written sitcom podcast in order to try and make Dan famous (to which I didn't agree to receive) I unsubscribed from all emails after about week 8.
The plan is all about 80/20. 80% nutritious, 20% what-you-want. Which is all well and good, and has been around in the nutrition world for many years. Dan didn't invent it. However, Dan's plan falls apart when he suggests that nearly all foods fall within the 80% bracket. Chocolate and crisps are nutritious apparently. Going by that logic, you could live on 80% chocolate and crisps, and 20% Haribo, and be "on plan"...
