KINGS GROUP ARE FRAUDSTERS!
Be very wary and stay right away as far as possible from the CHESHUNT BRANCH or any of this companies branches!
I entered a tenancy agreement remotely due to Covid I had only seen a video of it. I was abroad at the time on holiday. As soon as I came back to U.K. and off my flight, I went to the branch to collect the keys. The staff member I had been dealing with put a precondition upon me to release the flat keys to me, I had to sign a document. Upon reading the document, I absorbed it reading that I had seen the property and accept its condition and of course at this point, this was not the case. I immediately raised it with the same staff member that I’d been dealing with. She assured me that she had been to the flat and it was all cleaned and In order. Whilst I was on holiday, this staff member had notified me that she also was travelling on holiday to the same destination I holidayed at and I was quite helpful to her with plenty of advice and recommendations. I put my faith in her and I very much regret having done so.
When I went to the flat, it hadn’t had an end of tenancy clean. The flat was very very dirty. I called the same staff member and she said she would take care of it. It took a week for cleaners to undertake the task, during which I could not move in but I had paid rent in advance for the time. The cleaners did not clean the top part of the oven, they said they don’t as policy due to the electric grill element can be damaged. It took Kings 3 months to clean the oven, I was unable to cook food and spent much money on take out foods. During this time, I even had to stay away from the flat due to the oven being so dirty, a chicken I tried to cook, set off the fire alarm and smoked out the entire block, from the immense grease at the top of the oven.
When I finally cited that I’d like a credit for the time I was not able to occupy the flat due to lack of cleaning and myself having to wait for cleaners (a week) and some form of credit for the extra expense of take out foods etc. They cited that I signed a disclaimer that says the property was in good order, despite email evidence of communications to the contrary.
To my dismay and total near disbelief, it became apparent to me that, the staff member whom I had been dealing with and whom did this was actually the Lettings branch manager!
As a result of this, I totally lost faith in Kings and to date I’ve not been able to create a nest a comfortable home and invest in furniture or commit to this
To add salt to injury, Kings on numerous occasions have told me that the oven was working. I am a health and safety consultant and I close down businesses that have less hygiene
