I’d strongly advise avoiding it at all costs. We went there and the traffic was awful and completely unmanaged. They advertise it as “4 miles of joy with animals,” but we spent 1 hour and 40 minute... Mehr ansehen

Really wish I read the reviews before…
Really wish I read the reviews before spending £120 plus fuel and picnic to bring my niece and nephew here during the heatwave. No shade, no animals, infested by wasps, drinks were extremely over priced. The rides kept breaking down, the ghost ride is one trip round the block with no lights working my 4 year old nephew and 11 year old niece were bored out of their minds. Tried emailing customer service 4 times complaining how much of a rip off it was and no response. Then I stumbled upon all of these bad reviews and wish I found them before. Avoid at all costs! I came about 6/7 years ago and it was amazing. Such a dump and rip off now.
Dont bother
Dont bother. Very few tired dirty looking animals. Nothing to enrich them. Didnt see many water troughs about. So sad. You presume that lions or tigers would be roaming round. No all locked away. As for the poor bull elephant in small ares. The grass had been cut very short. All in all swful.
They've sucked all of the fun out
I remember visiting in the 90's and late 80"s when you could feed the animals through the window of your car. Ill never forget when the giraffe stuck his head through the sunflower for some food pellets that me and my friend were holding, and we were laughing so hard. You'd have wilderbeast wander over and you could feed them also. Then you had the infamous monkeys that would run all over your car and sometimes nick a part or two off it.
My partner and I took our 3 year old son today and I can only describe it as a maximum security prison with the odd animal scattered here and there. On the drive around we were confronted with endless sliding gates the were light controlled, they take forever to get through, and whe you do get through, there's very little too see.
You can no longer feed them, touch them or have them anywhere near to your car.
They've literally sucked all of the fun out the place. My son was bored out of his mind.
Will not be returning, rubbish
A complete waste of money took our…
A complete waste of money took our child and few of her friends for her birth didn’t really see any animals apart from hippos few giraffes and one elephant didn’t see any lions white tigers wild dogs not sure if they even have them there anymore not allowed to feed the animals that’s been stopped and then we went to the fair that needs updating aswell all in all a disappointing day out
Very disappointing
We visited yesterday with our young son. We started with the drive through safari, what a joke! I've moved quicker on the M25 in rush hour! Too many cars and noone directing traffic. Large enclosures with absolutely no animals in and I think the total amount of animals we say in over 2 hours was about 10. Don't waste your money!
Waste of time
Came before. Had lots of white lions etc. NOW...nothing!!..lack of animals...lack of everything! Total dross..and complete scam..
Would not come back..even if it was free!.
Owners should be sued for scamming customers
not worth for the number of animals…
not worth for the number of animals that we can see here. Personally I wouldn't recommend
Upon arriving
Upon arriving, we wanted to freshen ourselves up and get a bite to eat after a long journey before the safari drive. I thought that once my tickets were scanned at entrance of the safari drive, I would be able to safely park near the refreshment area but that was not the case. When I realised my mistake, I appealed to the better nature of the entry staff but he was too stern and firmly told me that I would HAVE to go all the way around the safari drive before entering the visitors car park. Again, I politely asked that we need to go to the toilets first. He would not oblige so another member of your team stepped in and he was kind enough to resolve our problem amicably. All I want to suggest is that please make it clear to your customers that the safari drive is a one way system that forbids you to stop anywhere on the route therefore before entering the safari drive please follow your route to the visitor's carpark for comfort relief. By the way, the food place called Amigos was closed this side of the ticket scanning area entering the theme park. If we had entered the theme park to find another eatery, we would have missed our slot for the safari drive. Not a good experience I am afraid.
Very disappointed with customer…
Very disappointed with customer service! The payment was taken twice and I have still not received a refund even reaching out to them on multiple occasions. No reply to my emails whatsoever.
Not many animals to see
O currently visit the park ,I think it was the 6th time going there and I was so disappointed this time. It looked like animal disappeared , is it not allowed to feed them anymore , it was boring and even my 4 year old child got bored driving through.
There are definitely not so many animals like it used to be and not been able to feed them it’s definitely made a negative impact on the experience.
Not as inclusive as you would think…
I bought my sister who is profoundly disabled (Rett Syndrome) an annual pass for her 40th birthday. Having seen that staff were being taught makaton etc, I felt under the impression that it was a really inclusive attraction. WRONG! My sister managed only two slightly successful trips there. Often there were no disabled spaces, frequently taken up by non badge holders and nobody policing this, the drive round took hours only to see very few animals and of the few larger animals, they seemed to be directed at the lodge areas for their visitors. Many of the paths were not wheelchair friendly at all, meaning places like lemur woods were an impossibility. Disappointed just doesn’t cut it at all. I feel like I really wasted my money and what should have been a super special gift for my sister who has a life limiting disability, was just a gutting waste.
Don't waste your money!
The safari experience is now awful, we have been coming here for 30 years plus and this was the last time we will visit. They have stopped you feeding the animals, so now most of them are nowhere to be seen. The park is now focused on their very expensive lodges.
There has been no new rides on the fair for years and the food and drink is well overpriced. Waste of money!
A waste of time and money!
It looks like many people have beaten us to it. This is probably the worst zoo/safari experience we've ever had. We sat bumper to bumper for 2 hours going round the safari. We also did this last week on the M6 because they closed it, and it was less stressful and didn't cost us £64! It was chaotic, no one paying attention to the left/right lane rules, sometimes there were no road markings, and no one was managing this. The zoo itself is small, there are more outdated rides than anything, and apart from the 3 baby tigers, it was a complete waste of time and money. We won't be back, even if they have real dinosaurs!
Disorganized traffic control
Spent £90 for 3 Of us to sit in traffic jams within the park when all that could be seen by my daughter was a sea of cars and no animals on either side. Overpriced admission to sit in traffic
We enjoyed it
Surprised to see so many poor reviews as we had an enjoyable time. Got there for 10am and very quiet. We had a nice walk round and there was plenty to do and look at before we headed off to the theme park. All the staff we encountered were lovely. We were able to just walk on lots of rides with no queuing. The rides weren't as exciting as some of the other larger Theme Parks but for us were aimed just right. As we were able to just walk on it was stress free and enjoyable. We then had something to eat and the food although a bit limited was actually quite good. Gift shop ok although sweet shop on the way out did not have much choice. We also went through safari and we saw a lot of animals and I quite enjoyed being able to rest after being on our feet for some time. It did take a good 2 hours at some points being stuck in queues with no animals to be seen so young children could get bored. After safari we headed back to theme park and watched the sea lion show which was excellent, went on a few more rides then headed home. We had a full and enjoyable time and there were lots of other walks etc that we didn't get time to do so I feel it was good value for money.
ABSOLUTE BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER
ABSOLUTE BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER, Charged £128 just to enter the so called Fair which has long since seen better days, so drab and not seen a lick of paint or a new ride for years, I stated that we were not interested in queuing to see animals that were either no where to be seen or asleep !!!!!!! (caught out before on this) still charged £128 for 2 adults and 2 children just to enter the Fair, then a further £44.70 for 2 wristbands !!!!!!! as you walk around a further £10 for 5 balls to throw into a bucket that you are never going to achieve !!!!! hook a duck a further £10 however we did win a cheap dinosaur !!!!!!! Luchtime, 3 x Chicken nuggets, 4 fries and water £68 !!!!!! fries were soggy and nuggets greasy !!!!! with ice cream and a must have souvenir to remember the day a total of £350 OMG NEVER AGAIN, After looking at the reviews I note that WMSP do not reply to any review so I am not expecting a reply to this one, Shame on You Rip Off Merchants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Biggest disappointment ever
Biggest disappointment ever. Queue for traveling round the park was nose to nose, total disregard for the signs stipulating no stopping in the right hand lane, all of which I could have over looked if I had been enthralled by the animals. Unfortunately they had taken themselves off for a Sunday outing! There was not one wild Dog, not one lion or tiger to be seen, despite going through the rigmarole of abiding to the traffic light system and being enclosed for an hour in various locked spaces as the staff went through the process of monitoring the traffic in each "dangerous" enclosure. In all we saw 1 elephant, 3 camels , 5 giraffes, 2 rhinos and a smattering of deer / antelope. It was not a safari park by any stretch of the imagine!
Other drivers were as exasperated as I, as I queued, other drivers were throwing up their arms and mouthing wheres the animals?????
This was a complete waste of money and time. The advertising for this is false at best, some would say fraudulent! £80 for 4 people in a car.... thats a lot of money , especially if you multiply it by the amount of traffic going through daily. Money gained through false pretences, clearly all profit as there are no animals to upkeep!
Save your money and go round the M5 for a couple of hours, much more fun!
Absolute waste of time and money!
Would be a great experience if managed properly. Signs all through the Safari Drive saying "no stopping in right hand lane", the system either needs monitoring or updating. Queues from the entrance with both the left hand and right hand lane stopped dead the entire way around.
Hundreds of cars with their engines running for 2+ hours viewing very little with zero management or monitoring the experience is a scam.
Don't waste your money!
What an amazing day!
What an amazing day!! Being able to drive through and get so close to the animals was fantastic and being told we could stop in the right lane as the animals had been fed. Our check in time for the drive through safari was 10am and yes it was busy but it didn’t take away from our time of 1 1/2 hrs driving round. Our grandson who loves animals throughly enjoyed himself and said it was the best day and actually cried when we said we were going home!!
We can’t wait to come again!!
Absolutely awful!
Absolutely awful. This was the most disappointing day out we’ve had. We went on a Friday morning and the safari park was already so busy by 10:30am! The mini bus that you can go on with the actual safari park kept overtaking the cars and parking in the right hand lane, which the signs specially tell you not to do, and they were blocking the animal and roads. There were two huge coaches full of secondary school children that were driving far too quickly around the safari and overtaking everyone. There were people driving far too quickly round certain enclosures, and there were no rangers around to stop this. The safari drive through needs better monitoring! Then in the actual park, it is so rundown, I felt sorry for the animals there. Most of the areas were closed too so we didn’t see a lot. The clientele that are at the park are not the kind of people you want around and we saw lots of people just smoking as they were walking around which was disgusting to walk through. West Midlands clearly have all the wrong priorities now as the new lodges there that people can stay in have completely taken over the welfare of the animals already on site. Wouldn’t recommend it here at all.
