Poor experience/ customer service
I have just been unfortunate enough to spend a prolonged period of time on the phone with one of your workers. I am meant to be travelling and staying in Paris in August soon that was booked and organised through yourselves . In total I have paid £430 for this break and the treatment/ the customer service your company is providing I will have to say calling it unacceptable - is me being generous. New information has come to light regarding the hotel I am meant to be staying at on trip advisor: “bitten by bugs” , “items taken”, “man lurking in the corridors “ , “it’s a bad hotel” , “ Broken windows and poor breakfast “ , “ Broken Shower “ , “didn’t receive the deposit back” , “ horrible welcome” , “scammers” the list could go on and they are all separate reviews all in the last 10 days by people who have stayed in this very hotel - would you want to stay somewhere like this ? Would you want to spend your hard earned money on a property of this standard, is this the standard of hotel you want your customers to experience.
I understand that I might need to pay a little bit more to move but not £175, I’m upset angry and frustrated with the situation and the treatment I am receiving. This was meant to be a fun exciting experience but already it has been anything but that and now instead of excitement for the £430 trip to Paris I am nervous and living with anxiety of how bad this trip could be before I have even boarded the plane .

Ranjit was very helpful, we got Lake Garda in the draw, to which Ranjit done lots of date chasing & found us a very suitable time to visit.
He also provided lots of information on the hotel, things to do & possible flight times.

This is a scam. I booked Mystery Weekender through GroupOn. I would not recommend this travel deal to others as I felt a little cheated and pressured into a random unwanted holiday. They want to find ways to charge you extras and make sure they are getting extra money from you above the voucher cost. I highly do not recommend these scammers.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we must firmly reject the implication that this is a “scam” or that we are “scammers,” or that any funds have been taken unfairly.
The Groupon Mystery Holiday promotion is a clearly advertised deal with set terms and conditions. The AUD 299 per person you paid is a voucher contribution toward the total cost of a holiday package.
To clarify, no booking is ever confirmed without full disclosure of all costs and your written authorisation. Any additional charges—such as airline fare tier changes, airport supplements, or optional upgrades—are explained in detail during the booking call. These are based on live airline pricing and individual customer choices, not arbitrary fees. Your agreement to proceed was obtained and recorded.
At no point were you obligated to confirm the holiday. While we understand you may have felt pressured, it’s important to recognise that limited seat availability can require timely decisions. Our agents are trained to provide accurate and transparent information—not to apply pressure.
Refund requests can only be assessed in line with our published terms and conditions, which are shared with all customers before final confirmation. We are unable to offer refunds due to a change of mind or dissatisfaction once a booking is completed.
We are committed to addressing legitimate concerns; however, we cannot accept defamatory claims on public platforms as a means to obtain refunds outside the agreed terms.

Friendly Service, Questionable Booking Practices
I recently booked a trip through Weekender Breaks via a Groupon deal. After booking, I received a call from Ranjit, who was polite, friendly, and explained the process clearly. He phoned during my preferred time, which I appreciated. However, I did find it difficult to fully understand him due to his strong accent, which made communication a bit challenging at times. I'm usually good with different accents, but in this case, it was harder than expected. There was also background noise during the call which didn’t help.
The initial Groupon deal advertised a great price, but once I spoke to the team, it became clear that the basic package included very inconvenient flight times—arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning—essentially giving you one less day to enjoy your destination. Because of this, I opted for the upgrade, which included better flights, hotel breakfast, and a more reasonable itinerary. While I’m happy with the final package, I do feel this is a deliberate upsell tactic and that the advertised deal is more of a hook than a realistic offer.
It’s also important to note that flying from any airport outside of London incurs a £40 surcharge, and although I selected London Gatwick or Bristol, I was instead booked from Stansted—something I wasn’t expecting.
Another point worth mentioning is that I was asked to leave a review while still on the phone, which felt uncomfortable and pressured. At that point, I gave a five-star review that reflected the customer service but not the full experience. Now that my booking is confirmed, I feel more comfortable sharing a more balanced view.
Overall, the staff I interacted with were courteous and doing their jobs well, but the company’s practices do seem designed to encourage upgrades and limit transparency around true costs. If you're considering booking, go in with open eyes and be prepared to spend more than the Groupon price. That said, the final cost still wasn't unreasonable for what I received.

Rohan Ginotra is amazing!
After checking reviews we booked a Weekender-Breaks voucher through Groupon for £89 per person, and were initially offered Gdansk, but asked if it was possible to change to Warsaw. Rohan did that for us.
The booking was initially room only, post-confirmation we asked to add breakfast. Rohan did that for us.
We decided, post-confirmation, that two nights probably wasn’t long enough, and extended to four. Rohan did that four us.
We realised. post-confirmation, That we actually wanted to go to Krakow, not Warsaw. Rohan (who must have been ready to throw his phone out of the window by now) did that for us. Throughout the call, he was professional, polite and a pleasure to deal with.
All the upgrades, extensions we asked for were very reasonably priced, and I would happily buy another Groupon for Weekender-Breaks.
