Waited 5 months to get a new caravan…

Waited 5 months to get a new caravan which originally had been advertised as in stock kept waiting for return telephone calls which I usually didn't recieve .On eventually collecting the caravan we had to conduct our business in a communal area where we were with other customers and at that stage were obliged to accept a advisory offer for our part exchange.The whole experience was shambolic and embarrassing for myself and my wife .On this experience we would not recommend it to anyone.Really not good enough.

Great service

I have been trying to rectify my trailer bar lights with no success. Speaking to John at Wandahome, he fitted and wired a new plug up it is now working perfectly. Thank you very much John. Great service would highly recommend.

New motorhome purchase

I would like to thank all the staff especially Andrew & Steve for all their help & guidance in making my decision to purchase my new Adria motorhome. Any issues I raised were immediately addressed. I almost purchased new Adria motorhome from…

I purchased new Adria motorhome from Wanda at the NEC Birmingham show in FEB. I paid 5,000 deposit on 82,000 motorhome. I tried to pull out after the motorhome, but they did NOT allow me. Lesson 1: Do not give any money if you have not see the motorhome. They did not show me the motorhome I purchased at NEC, but a previous model, or something. Then I waited months for the motorhome, just to be told (After I rang where is the Motorhome, many times) Then one day told there were hail storm and Adria damaged. Wanda then said they will take to a local panel beater and try and remove the hail damage they offered me 2,000 discount on 82, 000. Luckily they also offered me my 5,000 deposit back, which I happily took, as this is not a company I would want to get involved into a future relationship...

Moral of story: Stay away. Been a year wasted with Wanda trying to get a new Adria. Now I am starting again, but I have learned from these scammers.

Caravan site. Don’t be late or you won’t get in.

This review is about the caravan site. We’re booked to stay from Friday to Sunday as it is a family members 80th birthday. This site is the closest so thought it would be best. Normally we use Peachy (that’s great place) anyhow we had issues with battery when we went to collect caravan. So couldn’t get the auto legs up to move the caravan. This delayed us and we called ahead to pre-warn we are going to be there about 515-530. But they couldn’t stay open for us. We asked if the could send the card to allow us onto site via taxi to family member if we paid for one to collect. They said no.
So if your looking for a helpful site that will go that extra mile (not even a mile in this case) do t bother using them. Use Peachy a bit further away but at least he is very friendly and welcoming. We won’t be using these. Staff don’t care.

Simply not the best!

Upon a brief call to the service department. We encountered, a less than help lady. Blunt and unable to communicate the basic facts of caravan warranty. You'd be better off calling Glossop Caravans as they're helpful, informative and have a good telephone manner. Might be an idea for the advisor at Wandahomes to call Glossop for a much needed insight in customer service!

Caution advised when dealing with this company

I purchased a new Adria SLB Twin Sport Motorhome from Wandahome South Cave in Hull for £84,600. While the initial buying process was pleasant, smiles and free drinks, issues quickly emerged.

Upon first inspection, a snagging list was provided, but on collection day, one month later, some of those issues remained unresolved. Further faults were identified within minutes, including rust on the gas struts supporting the pop-top sleeping area. Despite assurances that these would be replaced, additional problems surfaced soon after, with a key issue being a non-functional solar panel—preventing us from using the vehicle off-grid, as intended.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I exercised my right to reject the motorhome within 30 days of purchase due to its failure to meet satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose standards. Wandahome has refused to honour this rejection. The vehicle has not been used since the 12th May and was returned on 5th June—just 32 days after collection and remains at Wandahome. I was informed that repairs to the solar panel may take months.

Efforts to resolve the matter directly have been met with resistance, with the company strongly discouraging rejection and asserting their confidence in legal proceedings. As a result, a court case is now pending.

The stress this has caused both myself and my wife who has been unwell is unbelievable, I hope Wandahome are proud of themselves.

If considering a purchase from this company, I recommend proceeding with caution.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable, I didn’t things could be so bad, forget about any warranty it won’t happen just fix it yourself.
Once you’ve paid your money you’re on your own.

Good company to deal with

Bought some sleeping bags recently whilst on holiday. Unfortunately one of the sleeping bags was faulty and I was unable to get back to the shop, They arranged collection of the faulty bag and sent a replacement in record time, problem dealt with as you would hope. Would definitely deal with them again.

Awning Expertise

Having visited the camping shows at the NEC twice to review caravan awnings we were disappointed in the ranges available.However, a fellow camper recommended we travel the 100 miles round trip to visit the large range of awning erected at the Wandahome Ferrybridge Site.
The awning knowledge and expertise of their staff is first class.
When a problem occurred with the awning we had purchased they went above and beyond to resolve the problem to our satisfaction.

Service Department

Contacted service department with electrical problem on new caravan and they said to take in next day and they would hope to have it repaired within 2 weeks as it's now their busiest time of year.
When I arrived after 2 hour journey they said they would have a quick look on the car park. Alastair, the service manager, who is very knowledgeable, came to investigate and found it was necessary to replace the Power Supply Unit which he then proceeded to do under warranty and after 90 minutes in total I was on my way back home. Can't get better than that!

First time we have bought a motor home…

First time we have bought a motor home and cannot fault the service it has been first class. Friendly staff nothing was too much trouble and the choice of vehicles is amazing. Thank you wandahome for making our purchase such a pleasure

What a lovely little place to stay. Very easy access off the main road. Clean and well stocked shower block with heating 😊

Bought a new to us caravan end of July

Bought a new to us caravan end of July. All in all not too bad an experience apart from salesman wasn’t really bothered if we bought off him or not.
Bank transferred balance few days before pick up and had to ring to ask if they had received it. A quick courtesy call from them on day of payment to say they had received it would have been nice and reassuring. Hand over was great experience from a very knowledgeable guy (Peter). Few bits missing off caravan but was quickly rectified.

Keep your £500 deposit if you cancel.

Whatever you do don't pay a deposit or buy from these. My parents paid a deposit on a caravan and then cancelled within 24 hours because they suddenly realised their car would not tow the caravan. What this company have said is they will be keeping the £500 deposit please be warned I am now having to take physical and legal action against them.
