My application was for the Masters in Oil and Gas with Energy Management at the University of East London. The application process was very straightforward and my Student Advisor was very helpful. All questions raised were answered in a prompt and professional manner.

The registration process has being seamless. Kudos to the UNICAF university team. I can't wait to commence my classes, already have a positive vibe about this.

Let me save you time, money, and emotional distress — DO NOT enroll at UNICAC University. I completed (read: survived) their so-called Master of Science two-year program, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt: this is one of the most dishonest, hollow, and predatory operations masquerading as an academic institution that I have ever encountered.

Like many others, I was drawn in by their polished marketing and the bait of a "generous scholarship" paired with the illusion that I would ultimately earn a degree awarded by a legitimate UK university. The onboarding was smooth, professional, and filled with grand promises of international accreditation, academic excellence, mentorship, and global networking.

But the moment I paid, the mask fell.

The coursework? A few recycled PDFs and outdated resource lists that you could easily find online for free — if you were desperate enough to even bother. There were no real lectures, no interactive sessions, and absolutely zero engagement with other students or faculty. It’s an intellectual ghost town. The only thing UNICAC excels at is vanishing once you need them.

As for the so-called tutors and professors, they are unqualified, unresponsive, and in some cases, completely unknown in any real academic or professional circles. I couldn’t find a single publication or credential of substance tied to most of them. When you submit work — and I mean rigorously researched, original, well-argued academic work — they will return it with arbitrary, lazy, and often nonsensical justifications for low grades. It becomes painfully clear that their system is designed not to educate or assess, but to fail you intentionally, so they can force you to retake modules and squeeze more money out of you.

There is no feedback, no growth, no community — just a conveyor belt of disappointment, frustration, and silent exploitation.

UNICAC is not a university. It is a cash extraction scheme dressed up in academic robes. They prey on hopeful students seeking flexible international education and exploit your trust, your time, and your wallet. The “UK award” they dangle in front of you? Good luck trying to verify it. Good luck even finding someone who’ll respond to your questions about it.

If you're considering applying — run. This isn't just a poor investment, it's a full-blown scam. Avoid it like the plague, unless you enjoy paying for stress, deception, and academic gaslighting.

I would give zero stars if I could.

The enrollment process was easy and the assistant in Malawi was nice and helping in every step.

Securing the scholarship has felt like a major milestone for me. It’s not just the financial support, but the recognition of my hard work that makes it so meaningful. Being part of a community that values my growth gives me the confidence that I’m on the right path. The GBP 50 voucher for professional development courses is an unexpected but much-appreciated bonus—an investment in my future that I know will help me sharpen my skills and boost my career prospects.

What stands out the most, though, is how Unicaf University has taken the time to personally reach out to congratulate me and offer additional support. It’s a reassuring reminder that they see me as more than just a student, but as someone they genuinely want to succeed.

Looking back, I can already see how these elements are shaping my journey in positive ways.

The process so far has been swift.

I enrolled with high hopes, only to face deep disappointment. What was marketed as a flexible, self-paced program turned out to be a frustrating cycle of hidden timelines and delayed progress.

Critical information—like the mandatory one-month grading period after each module and the restriction on starting the next module immediately—was never disclosed upfront. I only discovered this after my second module, which I completed ahead of schedule, took over two months to be graded—even though it was largely self-assessed. Despite having committed funds and a clear timeline for my progress (which my adviser was well aware of), I ended up missing two enrollment windows due to this delay.

When I raised concerns, I was initially met with rigid responses and no real solutions. I’m currently being expected to make lump sum payments that would lock my funds in for extended periods—despite no module being available for me to begin until weeks or months later. For someone balancing education with financial responsibilities, this is unreasonable and unsustainable.

I genuinely wanted to further my education, but have felt more like a sales target than a valued student. If you’re considering this university, ask for a full academic timeline, grading policy, and breakdown of payment flexibility before enrolling.

I’ve raised my concerns, and while the dialogue is ongoing, I sincerely hope a practical and fair solution will be provided. I’ll continue to update this review based on how the situation is handled. For now, I urge potential students to demand full transparency up front. This has been a distressing experience, and I hope others are better informed before committing.

I am having a great time.

Responses are timely.

I feel completely deceived by this online MBA program. It’s as if the lecturers are more focused on failing students than supporting their learning. With every module, the experience becomes more disheartening — it’s been a constant struggle.

The study materials and assessment briefs are full of errors, yet students are penalised instead of being helped. In one of my current modules, the assessment brief was so poorly written that it led to confusion and, ultimately, a poor grade in my first assignment. Things got even worse with a recent self-reflective assessment, where I received an even lower grade simply for honestly sharing my personal viewpoints. Isn't that what a self-reflective piece is meant to be?

I feel lost. I’ve invested a significant amount of money in a university that clearly doesn’t offer quality education, and instead of receiving support, we’re penalised. To make matters worse, there's no option for a proper re-evaluation or mark recount — something that’s standard practice at most universities.

At this point, I genuinely believe I’m going to fail this MBA. Please don’t fall into the same trap I did.
