Good information re my new door . Glad to have advice and info re keeping locks healthy.

Had the door fitted 1 year ago with Ultion lock. All worked well initially, the door is fine but the key occasionally free spins before engaging the latch mechanism or sometimes engaging straight away. Got in touch with Ultion customer service, but they were unable to do anything unless i sent them a video of the fault !!! It's very difficult to video an intermittent fault after it happened. So they would not help unless i provide proof of the fault. Very disappointing customer service .That was approx 6 months ago.
This week on returning from our weekly shopping trip i was unable to gain access to my home as the key would not slide fully into the lock cylinder. A little bit of panic as two 80 year old pensioners locked out of their own home. Phoned the door installer who accessed our property by climbing over our garage and entering through our rear door and house to open our front door.
He changed the faulty cylinder very quickly and took the old one away to claim a replacement from Ultion.
However, i purchased an extra key. from Ultion, which i now require for my new lock. Again customer services will not offer me a free replacement unless i provide proof that I've had it changed. They require written statements from my installer that the work was done.
The old key numbers were registered and i have the new key number to re-register, but the answer i get is they must have "proof". They are not willing to contact the installer directly It's down to me. Again their customer service has been very poor, No willingness to help out pensioners in need.

I used your company to purchase additional keys. I also bought a key with the tracker facility which was more expensive. I had not realised that you have to apply for the guarantee so have done that on 1 key so far. The tracker one has broken and is not usable - am I able to get this replaced under gurantee? I can send photographs

I wanted my home to be secure as possible when I am not there. I was given some great advice by my upvc installer about Ultion locking systems. I am over the moon that I had Ultion locking systems systems installed in my doors at my home. I have purchased some of the accessories as well they are fantastic as well. Many thanks to all.
