Pas efficace comme service

Pas efficace comme service. Il ne priorise pas les clients. Ils aiment mieux terminer la moppe au lieu de ramasser les clés afin qu’on puisse partir. Ils prennent des pauses alors qu’ils y a plein de monde qui attende. Il change l’heure réservée. Bref sur le 4 hrs nous avons perdu 1 heure en paperasserie!!!

Ever since day one on Sunday when I had reservations for a trailer at 9:00 a.m. never received the trailer another location contact me they had one at 1:00 p.m. now this is already a problem because I have to do a 6-hour ride and still load the trailer so that trailer of mine is supposed to be in at 12:00 p.m. I'm sitting in the parking lot at 12:30 p.m. no trailer I contact customer service he looks up different locations two of them have trailers both 45 minutes away so I take the least expensive one that did not involve tolls so I called several different times to speak with different people from customer service my understanding is that somebody was supposed to contact me whether an email or a phone call so that we can discuss what the outcome will be for a refund well absolutely nobody did that only the Chicopee location sent me an email and refunded me $50 how was that discussing the situation so I got the number for marketing spoke with Chelsea or even Jessica and all they could do is give me another $50 for gas that's bogus of all the hassle I had to go through I did not ride to my location until 2:30 in the morning on a Monday and this is all because of U-Haul completely screwing up and this is all they can do but no worries I went to the media and told everyone not to deal with U-Haul because you guys just do not care all you want is your money and that's it hell with the customer

Uhaul is very inconvenient,unfriendly and will make your moving a nightmare.They don't take ownership of the movers they list.They list them for their own benefit and take commission from the listing companies.My experience was very bad.Last moment cancelling by mover listed by Uhaulthey need to take responsibility of the movers they list.they cannot get away by saying deal with them separately.They should refund me the extra cost paid because of no show by movers.Better to book movers and vehicle in same package by a trustworthy source.Uhaul have buggy apps.They billed me double the moving hours.

Completely Incompetent Sales & Service - Avoid

Tried to book a towing hitch installation. Showed up, they had nowhere to wait, so I told them to call me when it was ready. 3.5 hours, no call - so I walk back, stand in line, and they tell me that the didn't have all the parts, so they couldn't finish the job.

I booked a follow-up for the following week - when I called to confirm they had the parts this time, they told me that the hitch technician wasn't working that day - even though I made the reservation a week in advance. So I now have a half-installed hitch and no offer of help from U-Haul to resolve the issue.

Totally incompetent, disorganized, terrible customer service. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else.

Never use UHaul

Absolutely horrendous service. I had a reservation for a moving truck on saturday june 12th. Everything was fine, I planned my move accordingly : friends/family coming to help, took a few days off work to prepare and move, cut off electricity, insurance, etc for that day. On june 11th, 18 hours before my pick up I get a text message telling me I no longer have a truck. I then call UHaul, they tell me they've know since April that all their trucks would be unavailable that weekend. Yet they waited until the day before to tell me. It is unbelievable that they are still in business. I find it truly insulting they think this is acceptable, I could've ended up sleeping on the street. UHaul will NEVER get a cent of my money ever again, and I strongly recommand you stay as far away from them as you can.

Not a good experience for us

Do yourself a favor and rent from another company even paying more. You will have problems with Uhaul.
Truck and trailer rental. Storage and Ubox.
Too long and lengthy to post the issues. Too many negatives dealing with customer service reps at Uhaul.
We learned the hard way and didn't heed past reviews.

I rented U Hual trucks in 2024 and 2025…

I rented U Hual trucks in 2024 and 2025 but in 2026, they claim I had an outstanding overdue balance on my account and refuse to rent me a Van. I call the number and they said I was only a contact on someone's U Haul and still never fixed it til this day. Zero Stars!!!!!

I have no problem with the people or…

I have no problem with the people or location (Hazel Dell in WA), they were very good. Although they DID tell me it WOULDN'T take 5 days to get my deposit back! Equipment was top notch. What I have a problem with is are the SCAMMERS / THIEVES in the "executive" branch at U-Haul. They have ALWAYS been on the sketchy end of legal!!! These crooks want us to believe it takes them 5 days (or more) to give us our money back from a deposit!!! It does NOT take them 5 days to withdraw it, it certainly DOESN'T take them 5 days to return it!!! They do it to get an INTEREST FREE LOAN!!! Nothing less! They will tell you all kinds of lies and cons to make it SEEM like they can't do anything, like saying "they can't speed up the process" but it's ABSOLUTE BS! I have NEVER had to wait more than a few hours or a day MAX to have a deposit clear a bank, especially over the last thirty years!! What they are doing is NOT remotely honorable or serving their customers! It's a SCAM and SHOULD be ILLEGAL!!!

ONCE MORE THEY SCREWED US OUT OF THE DEPOSIT SEE WE CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM WE WOULD BE LATE AND I WAS TOLD AS LONG AS I HAD IT BACK AT A CERTAIN TIME I WOULDN'T GET CHARGED WE GOT CHARGED FOR GPS GETTING US LOST AND SENDING US TO THE OWNER'S HOUSE INSTEAD OF THE DROPOFF PLACE SO WE HAD TO FIND THE DROPOFF PLACE THIS WAS WHY I HATE U-HAUL BECAUSE I KNEW WE WOULD GET SCREWED OUT OF THE DEPOSIT JUST LIKE IN2025

Would not hire a horse float again

I should have trusted my gut. The first time I saw the float, I said I did not feel comfortable putting my horses on it because it did not look safe to me. Unfortunately, I went ahead with the hire, and I paid the price for that decision.

Shortly after loading, my horse became caught on exposed fittings inside the float and panicked. My horse was injured, and I also injured my finger while trying to free him. I later provided photos of the inside of the float, the exposed snag points, and the injuries sustained.

Although I received a refund of the hire fee, I do not feel the company properly addressed the safety concerns or clearly explained the inspection findings. This experience has been extremely upsetting, and I would strongly warn anyone hiring a horse float to inspect it carefully before loading.

Check for exposed hooks, chains, pins, sharp edges, unpadded areas, and anything a horse could get caught on. If something does not feel right, trust yourself and do not use it.

20-mile trip cost me $150 in gas

I rented a 26' truck here on May 29, 2026. The truck was in bad shape. For a trip of less than 20 miles I spent more than $150 on gas, and got no refund. This is absolutely ridiculous.

First of all, the gas tank was practically empty when I picked up the truck. The guy at the reception said it was at 1/4 tank, which is ridiculous, to be honest. I barely made it to the closest gas station. The reason I didn't notice is that the receptionist told me the sensor wasn't working properly and the screen constantly showed an error, so I should just ignore it. The whole time the truck indicated I needed to check the seal cap and that the gas tank was empty, even after I filled it with more than 25 gallons of gas.

I had no time to return it or find another truck that day. And I had no opportunity to talk to the staff at the rental location, because I dropped the keys off at night.

Left with no truck 48 hours to move

I reserved a truck 15 foot truck 3 weeks before I was told two days before my move there was never that size truck at that location. Leaving me making desperate call to customer service for 4 hours to someone meany different people with absolutely no help at all.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I paid to have trailer wiring installed, only to discover that the job was left incomplete. When I brought the issue to their attention, I was told that the installation was completed "to their standard," despite the wiring not functioning properly and the work clearly not being finished.
As a customer, I expect a safe, complete, and fully operational installation—not excuses. Instead of taking responsibility and correcting the problem, they attempted to justify substandard workmanship. The lack of accountability and customer service was just as frustrating as the incomplete installation itself.
I would strongly advise anyone considering trailer wiring installation to thoroughly inspect the work before leaving and ensure everything is functioning as promised.

U-Haul really dropped the ball

U-Haul really dropped the ball. A reservation had been made 2 weeks in advance for a 10 ft. truck in Battle Creek, MI. Morning of pickup was a nightmare! We were sent to a nearby location to get the truck and told to use Uhaul's app to unlock the lockbox (not one was on location). This didn't work. Trips were made back and forth to the truck lock box site and the human run office. We were told "IT is working on it" (the apps MAJOR malfunction). More than 3 hours later, the human instore rep cancelled the reservation, input a new one, and finally, we got a vehicle from the human run site. There were six other people in line, frustrated over UHaul's complete incompetence. This is what happens when IT idiots and tech- driven executives take charge. Everything goes to cr@p.

Reservation & billing services…BEWARE !!!

U-haul's reservation & billing service is a nightmare!!!

I reserved a Van for in-town use in Colfax, CA, and declined the various add-on services except for the $5/day SafeTrip.

Several days later (the day before my scheduled pickup), a local U-haul agent called and told me that they did not have a van available and the nearest van would be 17.5 miles away in Grass Valley (35 miles round trip @ $1.09/mile)...adding $40 in mileage charges +$12 in fuel to my bill.

Having no other choice, I accepted the change in reservation locations - I then called U-haul customer service to see if they would at least waive the extra 35 miles from the billing for the "out-of-my" miles incurred, but was instead only offered a small discount on the mileage.

Upon returning the van, I completed the Mobile Drop-off process just fine and was shocked to find that the total bill had jumped by another additional $100 due to someone at Uhaul adding on a SafeMove option for 4 days (something that I had specifically declined in the original reservation).

I submitted a dispute of this charge through the U-haul mobile app and was notified that someone would contact me within 24 hrs to go over the charges....yet no one has reached out to me at all except to email me a final billing receipt.

DONT DO IT!

I am extremely disappointed with my repeated experiences with U-Haul. Unfortunately, because I live in a remote area, there are very few alternatives available, and I have now had the same issue occur every single time I have used your service.

On both occasions, I reserved a 10-foot truck from my nearest location well in advance. However, days later I received a call advising that the truck I had reserved was no longer available, despite the reservation being confirmed and showing as available online at the time of booking.

The only options then offered were either:

* Picking up a truck from another location over two hours away in the wrong direction, or
* Accepting a 20-foot truck that is far larger than what I required.

This larger truck created several issues for me. I am not comfortable driving a vehicle of that size, and it also resulted in significantly higher fuel costs and mileage expenses that I am now forced to absorb because of U-Haul’s failure to honour the original reservation.

During my previous experience, I was at least offered additional free kilometres as compensation for the inconvenience. This time, no such consideration was provided.

I also requested to speak with a manager and was initially told that no manager was available. When I questioned whether the employee was completely unsupervised at that moment, a manager suddenly became available to speak with me. That interaction only added to my frustration.

While I understand the manager personally did not cause the issue, the attitude displayed during the conversation was dismissive and unprofessional. I was told I was “not listening” simply for asking why compensation that was possible during my previous experience was suddenly no longer an option.

At this point, the pattern is clear: every time I use U-Haul, my reservation is effectively meaningless. Your scheduling and inventory systems appear to be poorly managed, and customers are left paying the price in extra fuel, mileage, stress, inconvenience, and lost confidence in your service.

I would appreciate a proper explanation of why confirmed reservations are repeatedly not being honoured and what U-Haul intends to do to address both the financial impact and ongoing inconvenience caused to customers in situations like mine.

I would like to recognize Asia at the U Haul location in Olive Branch, Mississippi, for providing exceptional customer service. I came in on May 25th dealing with a very stressful situation and in need of assistance to continue my move for the day. Asia was extremely proactive, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process.

She went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to get a U-Haul and continue with my move without further delays. Her attitude, patience, and willingness to help truly stood out and made a difficult day much easier for me.

Asia’s customer service was absolutely top tier, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing assistance. Thank you again, Asia, for your kindness and outstanding support!

Uhaul double charged my credit card

Uhaul has placed two charges for the same amount on my credit card. The first truck had an oil light on so they put me in another truck at pickup location. I called uhaul and Crystal in Tennessee customer service said the second charge was a hold. She was rude so I spoke with Ronald Manager on Duty In Phoenix Az and he said my credit card company put that extra charge on there. I called my credit card company and told them Crystal said it was a hold and they said “no it has been charged twice so you can dispute it” I said Ronald says it was something you at the credit card company did and he said no they definitely charged you twice. Either way even if I dispute it they have charged an extra 1471.39 on my card for the second truck. This is an aggravation I should not have to deal with. I am in the process of moving and they have tied up a large amount of money. Even though the card puts it back while it is being disputed I don’t feel comfortable using that money until it is cleared. Uhaul customer service is terrible!
