I parked in a 2 hour limit for 2 hours…
I parked in a 2 hour limit for 2 hours 20 minutes. Guilty. G24 then took 15 days to write a letter which arrived at 21 days. I have read that a private parking company has 14 days to ensure that the notice is with the owner within 14 days. I appealed and G24 came back with a load of legal gobble stating that I had parked, there were sufficient signs etc etc. They declined my appeal.
I then went to IAS to review it. Same reply. I had parked, there were signs etc etc. BUT they were unable to comment on the legality of my comment about the timing and that I should take legal advice? well they are either in time or they are not? make a choice. Why should I pay a solicitor to appeal a £100 parking ticket? won't be paying.
Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose. The service is funded by the unscrupulous ticket cowboys, say no more.
Similar to other reviews here
Similar to other reviews here. I paid for parking however part of the payment was made in error but proof of parking payment was provided. According to IAS they agreed with the 'company' that I didn't pay. All s sham and probably needs some sort of legal review of the IAS practices and processes. Anyway, I won't be using Cornwall beaches anymore unless I walk there.
Awful service
Awful service. Despite acknowledging that I clearly paid for parking (evidence provided via bank statements and telephone records), the IAS stated that I must have entered my registration plate incorrectly and that the car parking services’ system “appeared to be working”. There is no concrete evidence that I entered my reg plate incorrectly over the phone, and there isn’t evidence to support that there were 100% no errors made with recording payments on the car parking services’ systems. Logically, as I am only the registered keeper of one vehicle, any payment made by me extends to proof of payment for my car. I spend weeks going back and forth with the IAS and the parking company, providing all sorts of evidence and statements. Utter waste of time. The IAS were, in my opinion, not impartial or even remotely supportive.
Not independent- just part of the parking scam
There is absolutely no way these guys are independent.
Absolutely ignore my evidence and listen only to the parkong pirates and look at only the selective photos (even though I asked for all the camera details which would clearly have shown the truth).
A disgrace
Incompetent and /or conflicted
An embarrassing organisation that purports to provide an independent arbitration service but seemingly fails to consider the evidence presented to it.
One must wonder quite what the arrangement is between the IAS and the parking companies that it mysteriously rules in favour of contrary to the evidence.
Magistrates Court is the way forward - the more that the IAS can be found fo have not acted independently or appropriately, the sooner it will be improved or abolished in favour of competent arbitrators.
Absolutely garvave organisation they…
Absolutely garbage organisation they are a farse useless people with no human correlation
Totally useless
This "service" does not work for the motorists, it works for the greedy parking operators. I appealed a very simple PCN I received, proving that the operator kept the charge away from me on purpose for a month so I could pay the higher price. The adjudicator came back with : "The Appellant should also be aware that my role as adjudicator is not to determine what may be considered procedural issues or irregularities" . I am speechless. This "service" should be banned so it does not waste the drivers' time.
A complete waste of time
A complete waste of time. Cannot be contacted by any means whatsoever unless a postal letter.
Completely biased in Parking Companies favour. I have just had my appeal turned down. It seems that if i stop on a red line at my airport i am still liable to pay even if I am having a heart attack, i have a burst tyre or my car breaks down. Probably still have to pay based on IAS decision if i died at the wheel!
Is a no star review possible?
This is no more than a scam by 'Parking…
This is no more than a scam by 'Parking Companies and Solicitor'. I had a fine from PPP (Premium Parking Solutions) TWICE! The first time I had disposed of the actual parking ticket paid for at their machine, as the letter informing me of the fine did not arrive until 10 days later.
When I parked at the same Car Park again I kept the ticket with the date, time etc. on it. A week later another fine arrived in the post.
I sent a copy of the fine to the IAS with proof of payment and still they said I had to pay the fine. Which (like an idiot) I did.
It was only after paying the fine that I started reading various reports on this organization. If you have proof you have paid legally for parking. DO NOT PAY THE FINE. If I had not been so quick to accept what I believed to be an Independent Assessment (even though I had the Parking Ticket as proof) I would not have paid the fine and let them take me to court where they almost certainly would fail to enforce a conviction.
An awful useless service
I can't believe that there are people getting paid to be doing this. Don't ever waste your time going to them. This fake service need to be taken down.
Total scum bags don't waste your time
Total scum bags don't waste your time
Useless !
Wouldn't surprise me if they where on commission
Absolutely rubbish!!!!
Absolutely rubbish!!!!! Our baby had an emergency allergy attack and we had to park along the road in our own residence area for 20 mins (maximum is 15 minutes). We got a ticket for this and they don't even consider our medical situation!!! It was a two-year-old life at risk and we got fined for this! Such biased service!
Not sure what imput theias had in this…
Not sure what imput theias had in this but one of our vans was parked in a access road and got a fake ticket (Privacy Notice) I was reading about a legal case where the Judge told the person to complain to DVLA as they aparantly have outlawed "Fake Parking Tickets" within days of making the complaing theias came back and said the paking company will be taking no further action.
Rubbish decision by IAS
Rubbish decision by IAS. I am a private hire taxi driver and provided all proofs for the reason to stay at the front door to pick up a patient who got late for some reason. Customer also provided to clarify the situation but never considered a single proof provided even there was no time limit for visitors but nothing was considered from my end and simply dismissed my appeal by saying they are satisfied that parking operator has enough proof. that is totally injustice as none of my proof was considered. no point to appeal as IAS will always support parking operators as they are members of them
Appeal dismissed but poor analysis by barrister.
Barrister stated in the appeal response that the site was well signposted . UKCS had submitted loads of pictures of signage nowhere near where I had stopped (for 1 minute 9 seconds!). I turned a few yards into a side street with no warning signs at the entrance and was nowhere near and did not pass the signs submitted. The barrister clearly hadn’t bothered to work out exactly where I had stopped. Not impressed! But, have given up and paid the extortion of £100 just to avoid being bullied by UKCPS.
Not independent at all
Not independent at all, very biased and always favour parking company, parking company is their members or customers, so they always make decisions favour them, no point, they both are absolutely skunks.
I had to leave a reluctant star as I…
I had to leave a reluctant star as I believe this organisation is a sham. I provided evidence of dining in the neighbouring restaurant and they had no evidence of me parking in their bays, just of me entering and exiting the SHARED enter and exit points. The IAS said I had no evidence - I want to find a way to report them to a watchdog. I will take this to court as I refuse to pay despicable people.
Waste of time
After having my initial appeal rejected by the operator, I decided to contact the IAS to contest my parking fine. I provided comprehensive evidence and a detailed explanation outlining the reasons behind my appeal. Unfortunately, I received a disappointing outcome as they dismissed my appeal, despite their reasons being factually incorrect and contradicted by the evidence presented. It was evident that they favored the ticketing company, making it apparent that appealing with them would be a futile effort.
