It is obvoius that they funded by…
It seems that they are funded by companies. They don't even bother to read and evaluate claims, and unfortunately, they act like the endorsing body of private parking cowboys.
i wish i can go lower than this.
i wish i can go lower than this.
this is just to make money they never listen the appeallant. they always decide in favour of parking firms because they gonna make money from it.
its a money maker company.
i am a taxi driver and i parked in a bay for 1-2 mins and i have provided job details and everything still they didnt bothered.
its means you cant even picked up customer from anywhere.
then we taxi drivers ending up stopping at road and blocking the traffic.
is that what they wanted.
Unjust and distressing process!
I agree totally with the overwhelming body of reviews already logged. The initial response of the parking company was spurious and clearly in error. I provided them and the IAS with evidence of tickets purchased. The IAS should have immediately thrown out the case. Instead I'm having to endure a protracted appeals process. Even the creation of a login with the IAS is full of friction and frustration. Who would have thought that so much distress could be caused by simply parking your car?
There is no independence
There is no independence, they will always be in favour of the outrageous and unethical car parking providers as they are their members. This industry needs a government intervention.
Waste of time and effort
They insist you set up an account before you can do anything but it is almost impossible to find an acceptable password then the system to "prove you're not a robot" is even more difficult t get past. Making an appeal is a waste of time anyway as they just take the side of the crooked parking company, no matter what.
Parliamentary Scrutiny Needed
Further evidence of the shocking and exploitative nature of ANPR type parking operators, a perfectly reasonable and sensible appeal rejected without independent thought. The poor literacy of the appeal decision text adds no confidence whatever to the process.

The amateur effort of a website gives them away. Don't waste your time with them. They are a bunch of lads based in a windowless portacabin somewhere in India staring at screens all day
Organise scam attempt within UK legal system
I am living in my rented apartment for more than four years. Recently parking company CPM started to oversee parking slots, not even maintained of the premise and issued parking permit for residents.
I displayed their parking permit on my car. However one sunny day parking warden came and took a photo of my car saying , I parked my car without permit. The character took a photo of my windscreen with a shadow. Obviously operator sent a fine of £60 which I refused to settle. I appeal to TheISA who is apparently independent and impartial body of parking operators. This body rejected my arguments that I am a resident of the premise, hold their valid parking permit and display on my carwindscreen. There was no justified argument other than not properly displayed the parking permit. Also mentioned that their refusal can not be legally enforced. No one signed, no name, not even electronic signature. It looks like operator himself written down refusal letter on behalf of ISA.
Kind of physiological threatening. Totally waste of time and organised scam attempt within the UK legal framework.
I suggested to resolve matter in the court.
One year later I received a letter from the their law representation demanding money , saying I didn’t display valid parking permit. I am convinced None of these guys even read what bullish written on the letter. 😎🤣🤣🤣

Rubbish service and are terrible and have no sympathy what so ever, complete scum bags
Not independent at all
What can i say. For a service that preaches and claims to be neutral it's an absolute sham and disappointing. From personal experience, they are a culprit too and work hand in hand with cooperations that benefit/profit their own selfish needs. Simply a hypocrisy. I was a firm believer that they'd come to the aid of honest struggling citizens/residents to face the cooperate mafias but little did i know i was seeking justice from an unjust biased group. I really hope that one day we'd actually get the empathy/sympathy we deserve from people with actual authority to help. It's a long winded dream that'll unlikely happen in my time given the greed and double standards.
I am livid
I am livid, frustrated and deflated ..... and I haven't even lodged my appeal. Firstly, parking company letter is received 2nd Dec leaving only 6 days to respond yet they date stamp their letter 17th Nov. Not sure what class postal service they use in the UK that takes 2 weeks! Secondly, online appeals portal does not work. I register, create password and then can't log-in. Just in case I try another email address .... same process same outcome. Several requests to reset password .... nothing. Link to request deadline extension if your reason is valid .... unavailable and directs you to a membership page.
I really don't know what to do next and my deadline of 21 days is in a day! This is ridiculous .....
Furthest thing from independent
If I could give it less stars I would. Couldn't be further from "independent". Even the parking company came to the conclusion that the penalty should be waived, but sadly, the IAS thought that it was common sense to charge the full amount despite proof of a ticket being purchased at time of incident.
No common sense, not independent, and an utter waste of time. Don't bother using. If you know you are right, fight it in court - if it makes it there.
I can totally concur with all the other…
I can totally concur with all the other reviews, I do not feel the evidence was considered as I provided photographs stating there were no signs in the area, I had paid for valid parking, and still received a fine, at no point was my evidence considered, a sign was posted on the appeal that was no where near where I parked, and just an attached sign bearing no relevance to location, but that was considered as the evidence? Absolute waste of time and effort, promoting scams for getting further money out of people who ligitimately pay for parking, sad to see such exploitation really.
The most rubbish company you can…
The most rubbish company you can possibly appeal, just trash !!!
Does not matter the proves you present, it will always rule in favour of the parking companies !!!
Useless !!!
I got a ticket for charging my electric car. Not even under the jurisdiction of the car park as those spaces are subleased. The IAS sent a standard template refusal letter acknowledging not one point I raised. Doubt they even read my compliant. Complete waste of time.
Rubbish.
Rubbish.
How can they claim to be independent if you have to be referred by the Parking Company you are in dispute with.
My Parking Company refused my appeal, but would not refer me to the, laughingly called, Independent Appeals Service
So I could not even register an appeal with them.
What a joke
The IAS decision was not independent
You will be surprised to see how IAS will award operator to charge you £100 for drop off passenger even stopping there less than 10 seconds. .
they are absolutely not independent, you can notice when you receive the decision, that IAS will not take attention to any point raised by the appellant, whole process and decision will be one sided towards the operator.
I have research through internet and also found how many people actually are victim of the PCM and IAS appeal process.
Everyone should wait to defend this, I am sure they will not win this at the end as HM Court of England will decide independently.
Having read the negative reviews I must…
Having read the negative reviews I must confess I was doubtful about even bothering to use them after the private parking company in Norwich had rejected my original appeal.
I persevered though and sent through exactly the same information that I’d previously sent to National Parking Enforcement and had been rejected within 24hrs.
I am pleased to say that following sending my appeal into IAS I have today received an email to tell me that the parking notice has been cancelled, so I can only go by my experience, and by the fact I had always believed the original fine was not deserved in my opinion, that they have demonstrated their impartiality and despite what others have said did look at supporting evidence - Thank you
Bad advice to use this company
I was advised to use this company to appeal a parking notice. I could not even register as the website kept saying the form was incorrect without telling you why, and then deleting it so you have to complete it all over again. So gave up and won't be paying the charge.
The organisation is very keen on…
The organisation is very keen on ensuring the parking permit company get more money from drivers. Don't waste your time on writing to them, would advise going through to court when confused about the ticket issued to you. They are totally scam making more money for the parking company
