inappropriate packaging
I purchased a pamphlet costing £5, I didn't mind that cost as I was paying for the content, but sending this in a padded envelope, with signature on delivery cost £7-50, which is quite disproportionate. I would have been perfectly satisfied with an envelope and first class stamp.

We do understand your point regarding using an envelope and a First Class stamp. However, this method does not provide any tracking, which means neither the customer nor we are protected should an item be lost or misplaced in transit. In addition, a standard envelope may not offer sufficient protection for the pamphlet during delivery.
That said, we appreciate your feedback and agree that a smaller rigid-backed envelope combined with a more cost-effective tracked Royal Mail service may have been a better option in this case. We have refunded the postage cost for your order and will be reviewing our packaging and delivery methods for pamphlets and other smaller items to ensure we continue to offer the best balance of protection, reliability, and value.

First of all, hats-off to SCP for selling Niwaki. Higurashi GR secateurs are a thing of beauty - the refined action delivers a precise, clean cutting feel similar to my defunct CK G5631, but in a more compact form. The spare spring is a thoughtful touch for long-term ownership. The Niwaki website has an excellent video showing how to use the indispensable #1000 sharpening stone & the 'rust & sap' eraser is an eye-opener. Thank you for design excellence, at a favourable price, with the most secure packaging that I've seen in a long time. Some favourable weather would help.

Unfortunately the glass butter dish is cracked in one corner and extremely sharp . It must have been broken before packaging as to be fair the box it was delivered in was more than adequate to protect it. Won't be sending back due to return costs and would have to argue about SCP refunding the postage costs both ways. Basically cost £30 for broken item that can't be used for its intended purpose!
