They won't give you a loan they will keep you waiting 2/5 days we waited four to be told no and they hard search your credit file so it's all damage I'd avoid if I was you you will only waste you time a d damage you score further. They want your money not to help you. Typical human greed. We applied for a 1000 in was reduced to 323 then rejected.

When we are considering a loan, it is normally a 48 hour turnaround however we dont work weekends, and if we have a lot of applications, it can take a bit longer. We are sorry that you had to wait a little longer. When applying- it is advised that a credit search will be undertaken. We also look very closely at Income and Expenditure and when that is assessed, there are occasions where we arent able to consider the amount which has been applied for as it would be considered unaffordable. We appreciate that you are disappointed your were declined but regrettably we aren't able to assist in every circumstance and it does depend on each application.

We have never claimed to be a "cheap" alternative Andrew- however we are cheaper than a lot of the alternatives available to people who are unable to go to their Bank for a loan. We are a "Not for Profit" Community Interest Company and we try to provide loans as cheaply as possible for the people who use us. Credit Unions are an alternative and where possible we encourage people to use their services for loans. We are members of the " Responsible Finance" trade body https://responsiblefinance.org.uk and we would urge both you and anyone reading your review to look at their website as it will explain a bit more about Scotcash and the other companies who try to do what we do. It will hopefully give a more informed view for anyone who may be in doubt.
Dissapointed
Got my first 2 loans without any issue, went to get the latest one and even after providing everything for them it's still not enough. Not a good way to treat existing customers who have never missed any payments. Very disappointed in this latest service.

i have had 2 loans with Scotcash
i have had 2 loans with Scotcash and both times i have had excellent service from them the latest one was offered to me when i had almost paid off the 1st loan
there is no increase in the payments and you can pick how you want to pay back weekly fortnightly or monthly
Got a quick decision and the loan was payed into my bank within the hour will be Appling again soon

Recent experience
I recently applied for a loan with Scot cash twice now...they have friendly and helpful staff to help with any enquiries or if you have difficulty in keeping up with payments...I would highly recommend them.

excellent service i have been with them 3 years and if you send them what they need they are pretty quick during this pandemic ive had 2 loans accepted and paid in less than 5 days and marion was very good keep up the good work guys .

Got first two loans no problem
Got first two loans no problem. Tried to get another one , circumstances hadn't changed still had the same outgoings same income etc.. Never misses a payment... They rejected. Ever since I cancelled the direct debit all I've had is threatening texts and emails. I stated I'd pay it up at a lesser rate if they cancelled the interest, but no still no help , something is better than nothing. Now they are getting nothing.

When considering a loan application it is not just income and expenditure which is assessed. Credit reports are also checked for any deterioration and unfortunately there are some instances where another loan is not possible at that time.
Friendly and knowledgable
I applied around a year ago and was refused due to not being able to show that I had funds coming in on a regular basis. I reapplied in July when my situation was a bit better and was accepted . The staff all seenmvery friendly and helpful and the interest rate wanst unreasonable at all. Well done guys

Wish I never tried this company, got refused online then I get email saying if I can send in bank statements ect they will have a look if this has been the right decision!
Have them access to my bank and other documents and heard nothing for 3 days.
Then I receive a text asking to call them so I call and get answer machine.....no respond!
No decision if I was accepted or not How dodgy is this company!

There are occasions where we review the original decision, where we feel there may be a possibility we could assist- and on those occasions we contact applicants to see if they would like us to re-assess their application. We ask for statements to be sent in at that point and if we need further information we will try to contact the customer. Our phones are very busy- and will provide a voicemail service if there is no one available to take the call at that time. If a message was left- at least 3 attempts would be made to get back to the person. if not further contact could be made, the application would be closed off.

The length of time it’s taken for a reply here is about the time you’ll wait to hear anything off of this lot. Send in all documents they request and takes months for them to get back to you. Also I do not know if I was “accepted” as I gave up when I never heard for months then one of you’re agents replied 6 months later asking if I was still looking for a loan ?! Haha waste of time like I said

It has indeed taken us a while to respond to your original sentence, however there was an issue accessing TP when working from home which is now resolved. We would however like to look into the matter you have raised and have messaged you separately for your details.

Like most declined tryed several in year same outcome got ok credit yet don't approve me. Also think prefer people struggle rather someone who can. Pay them back but say that I don't meet there criteria haha Muppets

We arent able to assist in every case unfortunately. Many things are taken into consideration when assessing a loan application, income & expenditure, affordability, and we do check credit reports. If there are things within any of these categories which are a concern, we would be unable to approve a loan.
Second time customer. Very Happy.
I am now just waiting on receiving my second loan from Scotcash. Again it was easy to apply, easy to provide them with the proof they required and very easy to adjust my monthly payments when I wanted to pay a bit more than required each month. Each step of the way I have been able to get any advice / information I needed and at all stages I have been given the options to access the full range of services they offer.

Avoid if you can
Got loan easy enough but paying it back inline with my wages means I'm paying and it's not going down by much so far I've paid almost £200 but my balance has only 54 taken off baring in mind I got £500 loan but was given £470 wouldn't do it if you have another option.

We are sorry that you feel it isnt something you would do again Rozlyn. While our interest is higher than mainstream banks, it is lower than a lot of the alternatives and as a small Community Interest Company, we charge the lowest interest rate we can to cover our overheads. You can make additional payments at any time, even a few pounds make a difference.

Poor service. Make you jump through hoops yet to proof or evidence you provide is good enough and they just want to prolong the process. Would avoid

We are sorry you felt like that about your application process. We are required by regulatory guidelines to ask for certain information, to verify income and expenditure and also affordability, and until we have that information we are unable to make a decision on a loan.

Was in today and got loan gillian helped me get overdraft fees sorted and refunded told me info on sorting my money out which should have been sorted years ago and did all online stuff for me which I don’t really like doing that much gave me her number to speak to her about any problems 10 out of 10 for today thank you very much

nice little company
didn't know what to expect but would come back just for the staff really nice lady who done my loan to speak to over the phone. I didn't really want to discuss my money with a stranger but she was great didn't judge just based it on what i get and what i can afford
