Account was hacked I never shared any of my acc info allso had runescape authenticator out 300m in game items nothing done about it and will never play again buy membership or bond ever again.

It used to be good, the old classics are the best version than new versions.
Tried recovering my old account and it has been hacked few years ago. I created the account in the mid 2000's.
I filled what I could and the result resulted was denied.
Jagex customer service is the worst of all time and only believe the hacker/hackers. Until they can help and accept the request to recover my old account successful, then I can say good things about Runescape. Until then I cannot. Jagex and Runescape has left a loyal customer for life.

So glad it came to mobile! Nostalgia every time I play.

I've been playing since 2006...its a good game but, customer service needs improving and some content need improving. Jagex as a company need to stop releasing// leaking so much future content updates because people then get excited about it and it never ends up being delivered in the near future but instead end up waiting for a very long time. This can really hurt the player base as they get fed up of waiting, and I understand that.

Runefest is alright, I've been once, and I enjoyed meeting the people who played both Old School and New School Runescape :)

This game has offered lots of good moments for me just as well as many bad ones.

If one prefers old school or new version of the game dosen't change that you may like it one day and the other something game changing may interupt your fun.

Personally my reason for give 3 star's is they listen to much to players feedback and don't go a clear direction themself rather then let community decide fate of updates by pools.

A game needs a strong baseline not bits and pieces of what do eventually pass a vote.

Oh and yeah maybe the bloody amount of bots and goldsellers may push the rating a bit down too

But it's i guess fine game at times? give it a try if really bored its free none the less.

I have been playing this game for years and it's such a great game that I hate to only give it one star. However, I have been having major issues with something in the game I would like to see fixed but am unable to CONTACT ANYONE in customer service. Their website is extremely unhelpful and keeps sending me in circles instead of letting me just send a simple email. Customer support for this game is excruciating. Very unhappy with the lack of actual people to help with a major game issue.

This game was my childhood and will always be important to me

Absolutely spot on MMORPG, have played for over 15 years, and it is still and always will be 5 stars to me. Impeccable customer service from Jagex the developers, and a solid well rounded game constantly being updated.

This is my personal experiences with runescape which, I'll begin now!

I'm breaking this down because it got progressively worse and worse..

5 stars: I began back in 2005 shortly after my brother introduced me into the game, I fell in love with it! it was AMAZING! it was free with a paid plan(a huge plus since I was 15) I completed all the free quests, and eventually convinced my mom to get me a subscription, and I got a lot of member's quests done too! everything was just simply blowing me away I sunk seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, years into the game!.

4 Stars: Runescape 3 came out in 2013, I was unimpressed, but I tried it, it was.. okay,, it felt like the gutted out certain aspects to make it flashier, and the older graphics are what made Runescape to me, I don't think you even had a proper desktop program, so I had to give it 4.

3 stars: fast forward 5 years my brother told me that RS2 was coming out as OSRS, I was amazed, simply astonished! about to bring it up to a 4 star, but then I noticed they reset my character for OSRS, I spent YEARS working on him only to be punished for playing!!! but my brother said he'd even start anew with me, and we did, and it was fun until the Bots, man there were so many bots, and due to no Human element, it was hard to get rid of them, I even started PAYING again to go to members worlds to escape and there were even MORE bots.

2 Stars: I decided if I couldn't beat then, join then, so, i went out to do my own bots, I know this was against TOS, but Jagex had no care... I couldn't contact them to bring my hard labored character over, I couldn't contact them about the bots... and it took me two weeks to get to 10 on just 3 of my skills! after a mere 4 days of botting I almost get ready to swear off the bots as I'm back to being normal on my skills of defense, mining, smithing, attack and toughness.

1 Star: I get banned, with no ability to plead my case, my brother was also botting, thankfully he never got caught and hopefully he never will, I love Runescape with all my heart, and it deeply hurt me when a game I sunk time and money into.. betrayed me.. it's one thing if Runescape up and died, I'd have no problems, I'd just be very sad, mmo's die with time, hopefully Runescape will readd the Human element, or will die before they grow into an even worse monster.

Been with them since 2000, crap game, no loyalty for there original playerbase, nice raids 2? how about a "few" genuine bosses with numerous balanced drops, all you have to do is remod existing code and pump it out, lack of slayer drops/value of slayer tasks loot wise even when your a really high slayer level, problems are endless, imbalances are endless.

Jagex has became lazy and works on aspiration targets based on profit and not quality of game experience.

played for years, game is going towards MTX and customer support is very slow and often automated.

I played free for awhile, probably 300+ hours. The game is alright, aspects of the game are decent. The issue is the getting repeatedly banned for stuff I have not done. First ban: someone said "hey, are you a bot?" I didn't answer because who cares about some random person asking dumb questions. (apparently jagex) Finally, got my account back after way too much work. Then second ban, played on mobile, paid for the membership, said i was using illegal software and they know with certainty i was so, permanent ban. I am assuming my account was hijacked or something? cause i have not played it in a couple weeks and that happened a week ago. Anyways, on top of that, they charged me a membership fee first on 7-11-18 (which i agree with as i needed membership for mobile play), then they charged me again on the day my account was permanently banned on 8-6-18 (5 days early). Now i cant cancel my membership, cause my account is frozen.

I hate these people, if you play, don't pay them money. If something goes wrong, they will charge you early and then freeze you out from canceling.

Been playing for years, as with any game it has its ups and downs but if you’re not into the new generation of game there’s always Oldschool version which is great in my opinion, a lot like the old days of playing it. The developers almost completely rely on feedback from the community so you’ll always have a say in updates.

Spent, 50+ eur on this game and after some time my game character was banned because of real world trade. How the f*** they sell goods and then ban account???

endless game-play, multi national, good social venue for some hardened players, the glitches and bugs have been improved a considerable amount since i first started playing. the old school look by far my favourite theme is so fluid.
they've made a great exciting game that can literally take over your life if you allow it.

to many bugs and glitches barely anyone online bad support team don't put in the effort to help you out with an issue unless its to ban someone they love doing that over this terrible game never should of returned to it
i remember a time when i enjoyed this now they have ruined it for greed :( :(

This game is the reason I still want to live. Endless gameplay, a real exciting adventure. Bonerations make it even more enjoyable. Good job Jageks.
