3 replacement doors in under 3 years
This is the 3rd Rockdoor I have had fitted within less than 3 years. The first 2 - a design they no longer manufacture - both split on the outer surface. So presumably a design fault?
Customer service great (via my door fitter), and it has been replaced free of charge both times. This last time the design was no longer available so we had to choose a different style - hoping this one lasts and doesn’t split as the previous 2 did.
Great looking doors and sturdy/smooth when using - but our first choice must have been poorly designed I guess.

Absolute fantastic door
Absolute fantastic door. Oozes class. Strong, robust and weighs a ton. Hardware and hinges seem to be much better than any other door I've seen. Installer said 3D hinge. Unique glass in the door also instead of that cassette glass fitting. The bead normally fade colour compared to the door panel over time on normal GRP doors. I've had that happen on all my other past 2 composite doors. Rockdoor is built different. 10 yr warrenty also. Class.

Do some research
I have a second Rockdoor that has developed a fault within a couple of years. The first one bubbled and the second one has cracked around the windows. I bought a Rockdoor based on some brief research of the brand. In hindsight I perhaps should've dug a bit deeper. The product quality is clearly inconsistent and the warranty rules are not customer friendly, make sure you check them out before purchasing. Rockdoor push you on to the door fitter and take no responsibility. I now know why the guy that fitted my back door said he wouldn't touch a Rockdoor. I will not be buying a Rockdoor again.

Our rock door has developed a fault and even though it comes with a 10 year warranty the manufacturer up until now has not replied to us.. Has been going on for about a year now.
I wrote a review on 8th Feb, Rockdoor replied on 9th Feb saying that they were dealing with my installers claim and they were manufacturing my new door. Well I have heard nothing since and this is over a month now. I amended my review to 3 stars as Rockdoor came back but I have now given them 1 star again. I would like to ask Rockdoor where my new door is?

hi Liz, your replacement has been manufactured and is at the local trade counter for your installer to collect, the depot manager has contacted your installer, he has asked them to contact you and arrange a convenient time to carry out the replacement for you, we always act as quickly as possible to resolve any warranty claims and apologize that your installer has not been in contact with you sooner, please rest assured that we have issued a replacement and we are positive that your installer will be in touch very soon to arrange the installation for you.

New Rockdoor - easy 5*!
I have recently used these guys to install a new Rockdoor on my home and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result! It has completely transformed the look of my home, replacing my old woooden door with a sleek modern design that instantly boosts the appeal of the house! The difference is incredible; it genuinely feels like a completely different entrance. It also feels incredibly solid and secure! The fitter did a superb job and even kept the place neat and tidy throughout the installation! I would 100% recommend these guys!

Rockdoor – failure to honour warranty / supply of faulty goods
We purchased a Rockdoor to supply to a fitter for a supply-and-fit installation to his customer. The original Select door failed within the warranty period, developing a crack in the door slab.
Because the Select range was discontinued, Rockdoor replaced it under warranty with an Ultimate door, which is marketed with a 10-year warranty.
Less than one year later, the replacement Ultimate door has also failed and is starting to swell.
Rockdoor are now refusing to take responsibility, stating they are only honouring the warranty of the original door, not the replacement. This is unacceptable.
You cannot replace a faulty product with another faulty product and then deny responsibility when that replacement fails.
The replacement door was supplied by Rockdoor, branded as a superior product with a 10-year warranty, yet it has lasted barely a year. Rockdoor are effectively avoiding accountability for supplying defective goods.
First door: cracked slab
Second door: swelling
Outcome: no support, no resolution, no responsibility taken
This has left both the installer and end customer out of pocket and seriously damages trust in the brand.
Please avoid this company.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied and would like to clarify the situation.
The original door supplied was covered by a manufacturer’s warranty which expired in 2023. Our records show that a replacement door was supplied over three years ago under that original warranty claim. We have no record of supplying any further replacement doors since that time.
As previously explained by our customer service team, warranty cover applies from the date of the original purchase and does not reset with a replacement supplied under warranty. The warranty period for the door in question expired three years ago.
Despite the warranty having lapsed, our customer service team have acknowledged your concerns and offered to supply a replacement door at a significantly supported rate as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, this offer was declined by you.
We do not accept that we are avoiding responsibility. We have responded, reviewed the case in line with our warranty terms, and provided a resolution option even though the product is now well outside its warranty period.
If you would like to reconsider the supported replacement offer, our team would be happy to assist further at customerserviceteam@gap.uk.com.

Very dissappointed with this door
Very dissappointed with this door. The door doesn't shut flush to the frame and its so difficult to open. The locking mechanism is very stiff and requires several complete rotations of the thumb turn inside or the key outside to open it.
What is the use of security when you are frightened of being shut in or locked out of your own home!
The thumb turn with atk lock should not be sold with the rock door as completely unsuited to handle the closing mechanism. At the very least the company should steer customers away from this type of lock. We have beem told that now it's fitted there isn't an alternative fitting that can be installed to mitigate these problems.
We have only been using this door for 6 weeks but are thinking of replacing it with a more user friendly product.

Guarantee
We had a Rockdoor installed 3 years ago. We now have a problem with the locking system which from research seems common with this type of door. Unfortunately for us the company who installed it went into administration, however they had left us with the leaflet detailing the 10 year guarantee (no company name was on it so we thought we could get it repaired).. Today we found out that the guarantee is worthless and we have to pay for the parts and labour. Have to say we are not happy with the fact that this is not made clear in any paperwork or even on the Rockdoor website which makes the guarantee a huge part of their sales. I have spoken to the company today, they respond quickly but made it clear we have to pay.

Heritage Plus Lock Issues
Love the look and quality of the door. Had it fitted a few months ago.
Im not sure about the Heritage Plus Lock
Not sure if its the design of the lock and usual to need to push the door (from the inside) or pull (from the outside) of the door in order to unlock it? Could this be a fitting issue? I have issues with keys that I’ve had cut too. They do not unlock the door smoothly at all. I realise that this could be a cutting issue but how can I guarantee any further keys cut work properly? I had them done at Timpsons

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we did reach out to you for some more information to help us locate your door and installer, but did not get sent this info, with the Heritage plus lock escutcheon or bar handle configuration and because of the flipper Q-lon gasket, light pressure is required when locking the door internally and a light pulling action when on the outside of the property upon locking compresses the gasket and allows for the chamfered compression hooks to engage in the lock pockets smoother, we do have this information in the RockDoor brochure in the "locks explained" section, the Cylinders we use are TS007 diamond standard ATK 3* cylinders manufactured specifically for Rockdoor, the keys in blank form are available through our customer support team at customerserviceteam@gap.uk.com they are a specific type of key that is only available though our team in blank form to then be cut at the locksmiths, you must order the key blanks through Rockdoor/Gap.

This is not just any old front door …….. its a Rock Front Door installed by RKP Great Yarmouth 5*+
After seeing my stepsons Rock Door in 2024 - as a perfectionist myself running an interior decorating business - quality & service rank as very important for me.
RKP based in Bessemer Way Great Yarmouth Norfolk - Did my stepsons install - as a typical tradesperson myself we tend to look close at the finer detail!
I was blown away by the high class installation ….. not to mention how amazing the Rock Door itself was!
My wife & i made an appointment with RKP ….. Melissa was our contact… amazing lady!
Rob Parker was booked in to survey & discuss our quotation.
This guy is a wealth of knowledge and clearly takes pride in his company i said i was very fussy… & attention to detail with the installation was as important as buying a top quality door.
We chose:
Manhattan Rock door. Onyx Black outer leaf and frame, White inner leaf and frame. Misted glass, Stainless steel lever handle with contemporary letter box. Side panel with Onyx black frame outside, White inside, Misted laminated glass. Low aluminium threshold.
I haven’t met a nicer guy in the double glazing industry in 45 years!

They where not fazed by me hovering
