Great service received from RMS from the delivery of the skip initially to the pick up. Seamless experience and great customer service always. Would recommend.

They must be very busy as they constantly, even when complained about, speed up Woodyates Road in SE12, which has a limit of 20mph!
Hopefully when the police have their speed camera set up they will cease this dangerous behaviour.

Very disappointing service

We used this skip-hire company after our builder arranged the skip and told us to pay the driver directly. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

The builder had told us that it was acceptable to put mattresses and a sofa bed into the skip. On the day we were moving home, the builder himself actually helped us put the mattresses and sofa bed into the skip. The skip was slightly over the level, but we genuinely believed everything had been arranged correctly.

When the driver arrived to collect it, he told my wife that he could not take the skip because it was overloaded and contained mattresses. He then simply left without properly explaining what the problem was or what could be done to resolve it. We found his attitude very rude and unhelpful.

We later received a call from the office asking us to pay an additional £140 + VAT. As we were literally in the middle of moving house, I explained that I did not have my card details available and asked if I could call back shortly to make the payment. I also asked them to please arrange collection of the skip.

The situation became even worse when our estate agent contacted us to say that the mattresses and furniture had been thrown around the driveway after the new owner moved into the property.

We were left with no choice but to urgently arrange another collection, costing us £180.

Overall, this was a very stressful and disappointing experience, particularly on an already extremely stressful moving day. There was poor communication, no paperwork or receipt was provided by the driver after we made the original payment, and the way the collection issue was handled was unacceptable.

I would strongly recommend that customers clarify exactly what can and cannot be put into the skip, the maximum fill level, and any additional charges before using this company. Our experience was far from satisfactory.

If you're like me and need to book a skip for a house or garden clearout, you should go with RMS!

All I had to do was call up, and a member of the team explained pricing, the process, the timings, the rules. Everything. So easy.

I had a lady called Karen pick up my call. She was so happy to take me through the best option for my job. Even answered all my stupid questions. Gave me some advice as well on how to get rid of the trickier items. Karen was a total star ⭐

I have about 4 skips from them over the years, and never fail me every time. So reliable. And for the lady who answers the phone she is absolutely AMAZING, she always talks you through everything. Prices sizes and time period and is extremely polite. The skip drivers are always absolutely AMAZING also extremely polite. Its hard work for them especially in small areas and in all weathers especially trying to get a skip over my headge but they always manage. And always have a smile. I would just like to say how amazing and brilliant RMS SKIP HIRE is. And Thank the whole team for everything you all do and have to go through. And last but least prices are amazing also.

An extremely reliable company with true community values! We cannot thank RMS for their support. The communication was fantastic and all staff that I dealt with were completely polite and understanding. Being in a local school we had very limited time to get the skip on and off site and RMS went above and beyond to accommodate.

Avoid!!!avoid!!!avoid!!!Worst customer service ever!!! There woman answering calls and not giving her name when asked. She is not helpfull at all when asking roughly when they deliver skip saying from 8.00 till 5.00pm waisted two days for half a day and cancelled their service. She not even care about her company. I just starting to build new build and cancellation on skip not even starting the project.😁😁😁

Avoid like the plague
My pool company hired this really unprofessional company to get rid of waste. They asked for the skip to be removed on May 21st 2026. I’m writing this review on Wednesday 03 of June 2026 and they still have not come to pick it up. Two whole weeks waiting and they keep saying someone is coming before 5. I use another company for my own work and never had a problem with them. Warning DO NOT USE THEM. HONEST REVIEW.

This will be reported to environmental health and the council!

A complete waste of 1k a week parking suspension, these guys turn up when ever they feel like it, we paid 4.5k to suspend the bays, and these guys won't exchange the skips.. most definitely the worst in my 30 years of busness.
Do yourself a favour, avoid them..

I have booked at least 5–6 skips with this company during my project. Delivery and exchanges were usually on time and worked well.

However, when my project finished and I requested collection, the waiting time became very long. Customer service told me it could take up to 5 working days, but it has now been 7 days including the weekend and the skip is still not collected, with no proactive update.

My house only has one parking space and the skip is currently occupying it, so my only concern is simply when it will be removed, especially as I want to avoid receiving any parking tickets.

During my call today, I also felt uncomfortable because the representative focused on correcting my English and said she could not understand me. English is not my first language as I am an Asian person living in London, but I was simply trying to ask when the skip would be collected. There seemed to be a misunderstanding and I was told that my attitude suggested her job “doesn’t matter,” which was not my intention at all.

Overall, deliveries were good, but the collection process and communication could be improved.

I work in the real estate investment and trading sector. I use skip a lot in every project. And of course, I will not return to this company for the next project

I had a very disappointing experience with RMS Skip Hire. at Penhall Rd. Their customer service is the worst I have encountered. The Accounts department consistently blamed me for their own mistakes and failed to respond to any of my queries. They acted like a bunch of bullies, making the entire process extremely frustrating.

Thank you to everyone at RMS Skip Hire for your excellent service. I advised of the difficulties with access to my driveway during school times and you accommodated this as soon as you realised the problem by sending out a driver to deliver and collect early in the morning. All staff were also very polite to speak to on the phone and the whole process was extremely efficient.

First time ordering a skip and RMS were super helpful on the phone explaining the options. Skip arrived on the next working day and was delivered at the time they promised. Absolutely zero hassle and they did exactly what they promised.

It’s a two week hire I had the skip for one week it came on time and left on time professionally and efficiently the driver was polite and helpful I will be using this firm again
