I sent in my documents to Resume Pundits after getting a referral from a friend of mine who used the service. I was greeted by my writer the same day. We scheduled a call for the following day. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and asked all the right questions. We set a deadline and he even asked if there were any positions I was applying to in the next few days so all deadlines could be met. I received my documents a day before the deadline and was wowed by their professionalism. The document was concise, well written, and hit all the right buttons from an HR and recruiting perspective. I would definitely refer Resume Pundits to anyone looking for a new job.

Initially, I was contacted pretty quickly by the resume writer. She completed the resume and sent it back for review. When I received it, I didn't think it looked bad but it was plain. I sent it out over the course of a two month span with not one response from potential employers. Eventually, I started to ask employers if they could give feed back as to why I am not getting call backs.

More than one explained that my resume didn't make it through their automated systems that use keywords to identify the most qualified candidates. Another company told me that my resume lacked detail and had nothing to make it stand out from others.

I called Resume Pundits to ask them for a resume update and explained what was happening. Instead of explaining how they can help, the person on the line tells me "Are you sure you changed the information within the resume for different jobs?" I was extremely annoyed by that. He then proceeded to tell me to email this issue and someone will be in touch shortly. I emailed 4 different times and called at least 10 times. No answer every time and no responses from any of my emails. I will never use this company again. Total waste of money. When I explained my issues to this company they made me feel like it was my problem that I was not receiving interviews. I hired a legitimate resume writer and I was able to get several interviews within the first two weeks of sending it out.

So I got an email threatening me to take this review down or he would be posting my resume for everyone to see. Well, go ahead and post it. I stated in my original post that it wasn’t horrible but it was plain and not worth the money I paid for it but the bigger problem with all of this is the customer service I received from this guy. Absolutely horrible! Not only did he call me a liar but instead of trying to help he continued to send rude emails back and forth. Dealing with him alone is reason enough to not use this company. Then he goes on to say that I was holding him hostage for a refund with this review. Not once did I ever ask for a refund although I should have been offered one from the get go. I’m sure he will come back with a bunch of crap as to why I’m leaving this new review but regardless save yourselves the time and find another company to use that has more respect for their customers.

This last response was laughable. After sifting through the comments on this page I see that you also contacted another angry customer today threatening him to take down his comment as well. Not a surprise that he updated his response today. That’s how everyone will be able to see that your lying about me contacting you and threatening you about leaving more bad reviews if I don’t get a refund. Folks as I said in my last post I have never asked for a refund. This guy is going to do whatever he can to look like the innocent party here.

After being at my employer for 20 years, I haven't thought about a resume in so long. Looking for a new position, I was rusty and wanted to turn my old resume into something that employers would consider and put me in consideration with other applicants.
