Amazing day
Amazing day! Monster trucks were brilliant! Opportunity to actually have a ride on one. Plenty of loos, lots of different food, free parking and friendly staff. Would definitely do it again

Extremely overpriced
We attended RA Monster Events at Haydock Racecourse on Saturday and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed.
Before the event, communication was extremely limited. We were given basic timings, but very little information about what to expect on the day. Had we known there was no seating available and that the ground would be uneven and unsuitable for sitting on, we would have brought our own chairs. Better information beforehand would have helped families prepare properly.
Tickets cost £72 for our family of three, which initially seemed expensive, but we assumed that would cover most of the experience apart from food and drinks. What we actually arrived at was essentially a large fairground, which is great as we love a fairground, however almost every ride required an additional payment of £5-£6 per person, per ride. This quickly became very expensive.
Food options were plentiful and looked good, but the prices were shocking. £12 for a chicken wrap is simply excessive and poor value for money.
The biggest disappointment was the “monster truck” element of the event. We only saw one monster truck, and it did very little. Most of the main arena entertainment consisted of a one-man motorbike display. Our son loves monster trucks and was really excited beforehand, but he quickly became bored because there simply wasn’t enough monster truck action. The event marketing created expectations that were not met.
The monster truck ride, which many children would understandably want to experience, was another extra charge at £10 per person. Given the already high ticket price, this felt unreasonable and I felt this should have been included in the ticket price.
There were some positives. Our son enjoyed meeting the Transformers characters, and the food selection itself was good. However, there were not enough toilets, resulting in long queues throughout the day. The event space also felt cramped and overcrowded, making it uncomfortable at times.
By the end of the day, we had spent almost £100 on top of the £72 ticket cost. For what was advertised, the experience simply did not deliver value for money. The marketing made the event sound far more impressive than the reality.
Sadly, we wouldn’t attend again and would not recommend it to other families unless they are prepared for significant additional costs on top of the ticket price.
Too loud, and that was the music, not the motors!!
Went to Monster Truck Motor event at Haydock Park. The shows were good but considering it was a monster truck event, there were only a couple of them. The rest were bikes/ quads.
Paid £70+ for three tickets, one of which was for a three year old - £20+ for a 3 year old is a rip off.
Loads of fairground rides and food vans. Well overpriced on top of the £70+ already paid to get in. Almost £16 for two pints of Madri.
Entertainment was a woman singing which sounded awful.
There was a different song playing at every single fairground ride, which were all fairly close to each other - all really loud. It was so overstimulating and way too loud. Couldn’t hear any of my family talking. No need for all the fair music to be played that loud and I’ve been to many fairgrounds. Had to walk away just to hear ourselves speak. Was like a club!
Alright to experience it once to try it out but I won’t be booking another event.

Lovely day with the family ❤️ lots of different activities to do and of course we came for the monster trucks and biking. Put on a really good day rained a little but we didn’t let it spoil our day. Highly recommended ✨

£60 to enter abasically a fairground…
£60 to enter basically an egg and spoon fairground who then want £5-10 per ride, disgraceful, I feel absolutely conned, we stayed for an hour and then left
Honestly I’m not one to write reviews…
Honestly I’m not one to write reviews and if I could give it zero stars I would. Extremely disappointing, I would not class this as a monster truck show, 1 monster truck which actually weren’t great and one motorbike on that massive field there was more talking than actual stunts and again sticking one leg out or doing no hands isn’t exactly a stunt. Which then meant our little boy was more interested in the fairground rides and wow awful thank god we only had one child with us I felt sorry for the poor families who had 3 or 4 children with them on top of the £20 ticket price each rides ranged from £4.50 up to £6 which is extortionate to be quite honest so each ride was costing us £10-£12 because our little boy wouldn’t have been able to go on alone £10 they charged for my husband to take my son on the fun house. Honestly really upset and angry we only stayed for 2 hours once we realised we’d spent what we would usually spend to spend the whole day at Alton towers in 2 hours we decided to cut our losses which was a shame because we’d bought these tickets for our little boys birthday, but lesson learnt! Basically paying to step into an overpriced fair.
Basically paid £60 for 2 adults and a…
Basically paid £60 for 2 adults and a child to get into a giant fun fair then to be charged £5 per person on each ride terribly overpriced. Also the monster truck show and bike shows were very very underwhelming they seemed like an add on to the fair instead of the other way around. Left after 2hrs
No seating areas AT ALL - very very expensive and not very good
Same as other reviews unfortunately. Only one monster truck. Rides were £6-8 each food stalls extortionate not to mention that there is zero seating anywhere.
I’m heavily pregnant and took my little boy we left after an hour as there was nowhere for me to sit down. I tried to sit on a step near one of the rides and was asked to move.
Online says they bag search - nobody could even be bothered scanning our tickets. Once we got in people were smoking weed and all sorts.
Have tried to contact the company with no response.
They’ve got good marketing I’ll give them that!
Don’t waste your money.
Edit - I did get a response on instagram to be told ‘if you wanted a seat you should’ve brought your own’
How they can call this a monster truck…
How they can call this a monster truck event bemused me. Yes, there was a monster truck giving rides round a field, which you pay extra for but as for expecting to see them crush cars etc, you may be sorely disappointed. It was mostly motorbike stunt riders (who were really bad btw) and the monster truck only gets in the arena twice at each event. When we went, there was a small pile of cars and the first time it came out, it literally was over and done with in a flash. The second time, it went over the cars twice, broke it's suspension and that was the end of the show. Our 5 year old, truck-mad Grandson was thoroughly bored. The fairground rides were at least £6 per person. Overpriced food stalls. You end up paying to keep kids occupied. Save your money and go somewhere else!
*We are all saying the same thing, yet you are choosing to opt for an ambiguous reply saying that our views are subjective. It is not subjective when we are the majority.
I would've thought that you would know the date and time of the event considering that the date of experience was entered for the review! I will clarify though, as it appears you may be blinkered, 16th May 2026.
The fairground, as I said previously, was overpriced. A testament that has been given by many others. If you believe that charges are from £3 per person, you need to get off your backsides and check what is actually getting charged.
I certainly will add photos of the monster truck. You are LIARS and SCAMMERS.
The cost of living crisis affects parents the most and you are literally taking advantage of people just trying to entertain their children. Despicable.
IN RESPONSE TO THIS, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM TRUSTPILOT THAT RA MONSTER EVENTS HAD SAID that they have flagged your review for containing harmful or illegal content
...TO GET MY HONEST REVIEW TAKEN DOWN. TRUSTPILOT REVIEWED MY POST AND REINSTATED IT.
🙃 All said and done, we are all saying the same thing. You are taking advantage of people. Next stop Trading Standards. You are advertising an event all over social media and it fails to deliver on the marketing.

There was one monster truck. I feel like I've absolutely been conned, I spent close to £60 on three tickets to attend a fair where all the rides were completely overpriced. Don't waste your money.
Not someone who usually leaves reviews…
Not someone who usually leaves reviews but was so disappointed with today’s event in Haydock. We had planned to stay all day to enjoy the full schedule of shows, however had to leave after barely 90 minutes of being at the venue.
Positives - friendly staff, plenty of parking, plenty of options for food/entertainment. First Monster truck/ bike show was good.
Negatives- absolutely zero seating which meant you were on your feet constantly (not even anywhere to eat your food- People were having to sit on the floor just to eat with their children.) Floor was uneven and rocky making walking difficult (obviously Haydock’s fault, however it wouldn’t be great for someone who may struggle with mobility), soaking wet bouncy castles which meant the kids were walking round in wet clothes (5pound per child for 10 minutes), Toilet queues weren’t great.
As many people have said, the fair rides are expensive and in between shows it’s what the kids want to play on. Within 90 minutes we had spent almost 100 pound for 2 children to go on a few things and we couldn’t justify staying any longer to wait to see the monster truck show finale.
After paying for the shows, the additional cost becomes too much to spend on 1 day out.
The event was busy, so it just felt like the pricing of rides was just greedy. We would have stayed longer if the value would have been better. It was such a shame because I feel like this has such potential for a great day out.
Can’t say it was the most exciting and…
Can’t say it was the most exciting and best stunts show unfortunately. For the monster truck show there was only one monster truck doing the same stunt over and over jumping over 4 cars and most of the show was watching the truck and the digger realign the cars for the next same jump. Don’t expect much ‘flying’ from the bikes. It seemed more about the big over priced fair with motorsport stunts as a side line act. The only act worthwhile was Steve on his bike (but even that was let down by the organisers as couldn’t fully hear what Steve was saying with the poor positioning of speakers).
Been to the M&S arena Monster truck show in Liverpool and that was a much better show, where there’s loads of monster trucks, a better show and bikes actually do fly high in the air. (And no fair and music pop acts blaring out the speaker systems around the place!). Spend your money on that instead if you’re looking for exciting car and bike stunts.

UNEXPECTED RIP OFF
£75 for a family ticket, you get there and its basically a massive fairground ride where all the rides are an absolute rip off...especially the hook a duck at £6 a go for a £1 toy. One monster truck, and another that carries 8 for a ride a long at £10 each. The stunt bikes were "ok". The 1 star is deserved by the wrestlers who were very entertaining.
Good time at Leicester monster truck event
We had a lovely day out as a family of 4. One child old enough for the rides. It was £60 entry for us which was alot, woukd have been better at £10 each, however the monster truck and bikes ect all cost to run. The stunt shows uk team were great fun to watch. Monster truck and other bike stunts were good, however alot of talking which you couldn't hear due to the speakers located far away and fair ground music. Still enjoyable to watch. We spread the day out by watching the half hour shows and the rides in between. You could definitely spend alot as the rides ranged between £3-£6 each. However we were expecting this as I had read previous reviews. Ended up spending a fair bit but little one enjoyed the day and we see it as a one off doing something different. Would attend another one. Food was expensive as expected but they had a good choice. Everyone was friendly, toilets were clean and tidy, overall really enjoyed it!

3 Tickets for £60 at the Oadby, Leicester, RIP-OFF
3 Tickets for £60 at the Oadby, Leicester. What did we get? Just a fun fair really with the monster truck whose only trick was to ride over a few squashed cars. I said to my Mrs, "well, we've paid £60 to enter, so surely the funfair rides were subsided or maybe even free?"...NO...each ride or bit of entertainment was a minimum of £5, usually more. A complete rip-off as many other have said. And to ride the other Monster Truck was £10 per person. Leicester has many fun-fair around the summer...the same as this one and they charge £2 entry...yes, £2, not £20. Sure, they don't have a couple of Monster Trucks and a few dirt bikes making jumps, but the difference of £18 isn't worth it. The "wrestling event" was OK, but that was about it. I feel sorry for anyone having to buy food as the stalls were extortionate....for what they were serving. This was a standard sized fun fair with a few disappointing add-on's, definitely IMHO not worth it. Instead pay £2pp entry to go to standard fun fair or circus for £8pp. A circus also has dirt bikes doing tricks which are more impressive.
An update, I've checked the other comments on this site and noticed quite a few 5 star reviews from INDIA. And they all seem to have roughly the same comment. Strange that....looks like someone (I wonder who?) has paid one of these companies in India to write some positive reviews. If true, this is illegal under consumer protection laws and breaks the T&C's of Trustpilot.

Best day for a family of four
Im not sure why people have left poor reviews.
We attended the show on the isle of wight.
The day was fantastic, all the staff were very friendly and the place had a great atmosphere.
Yes you had to pay to go on rides but so what. Do you think its free to staff them and run them? They gave us a huge amount of time on all the activities. My 4 year old had the best time and that to me is priceless. My one gripe was we were very lucky with the weather. Down side to that there was not shaded areas in a massive field. But to combat the heat they had a huge foam party for everyone to get involved in. (If you wanted to)
Stunt show great!
Monster truck crushing cars
Riding back seat in a Monster truck! Epic!
Lots of dressed up charaters and acts on stage. (All very entertaining)
Lots of variety of types of food.
Age range 4 -(12 if your lucky) 5-7 perfect age.

Awesome
Wehave honestly had the best day. Everything was so well organised and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was so much to do for all ages and we were really impressed. My little boys loved the wrestlers - they were a massive hit. The foam party was “the best thing ever” according to the kids (and adults)! All of the people on the food trucks were nice, the ice cream lady was really nice and the man on the bouncy castles was also really lovely. Everything was super clean and tidy. The stunt shows were so amazing the kids were loving life. The general atmosphere was so relaxed and it was just honestly such an incredible fun family day out!

Mane shows was too much talking and not enough action.. when was an action was good and enjoyable. Missed some seating places with shade as was too hot. And prices for the rides and food was too high...as we paid already for entry.. overal amount spent there did not look worth it for what we got. Overal nice day spend out, but or we will be coming back, probably not.

£408 paid to attend the biggest rip off, nothing like advertised.
£408 paid to attend the Oadby event. 18 of us arrived at 1pm. It was dead by 4pm so we left at 4.30 It’s just one giant fairground for kids @£6 per ride, £7.50 for 4 lovely donuts, £6 for a cup of shandy. With good choice of food stalls averaging £12 a meal. Live band was one girl impersonating various females artist. As the show well 4 bikes, 2 quads,1 larger quad doing a few jumps and wheelies was certainly a complete rip off. It was 10 minutes here and there. Very very disappointing.
Edit. RA Events- your reply stating what was (Supposedly) to be there is the same as what was advertised but it was nothing like the actual event. The ride at £3,50 were the toddler rides. the teen rides varied from £4.50-6. I took 10 children I was well aware of the cost of things. The rides should have been free @ £24 a child. We stayed 4+ hours and seen no more than 1 small stage with the same lady all day apart from Miss Racheal for 10 minutes. The same repetative stunts at half hour intervals. The 3 transformers spent half the time in a pile at the side on the floor. Like I said by 4-5pm the stalls were packing up because there was so few people left because it was so boring, everyone we spoke to said the same it was one big rip off.
So much footage to prove it.
