Nothing wrong but when I enquired about something, found that the company had gone into liquidation with no warning to customers who have been as far as I can see sold a pup with no technical backup. What has happened to all their so-called customers? and why is there positive reviews on here after the liquidation. Speaking to other suppliers it seems that the FoxEss system is guaranteed for ten years but will have to rely on outside contractors for maintenance, if you can find one. This sounds a lot like the double glazing debacle in the early days until regulations was enforced. Cannot contact anyone in this business, email or phone.
Bad taste in my mouth about this, feel let down.

I urgently need tp speak with someone and I have emailed several times but nobody answers. My last email came back undelivered.
Also the number listed now says its not in service. I urgently need to speak to someone asap.

Gentleman knocked on my door and told me that I could have a free loft inspection. I usually decline such offers as I know if I do I am going to be subjected to a hard sell somewhere down the line.
For some reason that day I agreed to having my loft inspected as the guy assured me there were no strings attached.
Afterwards I wished I hadn't agreed to this happening. On the day of the inspection Ben knocked on my door at the agreed time. Went up into the loft and 15 mins later told me my loft was fine apart from needing the edges topping up with some insulation. No hard sell!
Highly reccomend if you thinking of insulating your house you consider using Protec!

Bodmin office.
After having a new modem my Fox account no longer works so I can’t see what the system is doing. I’m not technically minded and have no idea how to reconnect to the app. I’ve phoned Protec 10 times since 2nd Dec and been fobbed off. We also have a leak in the roof where the panels were fitted, as asked to do, I sent photos of the wet beams and still have not had a reply.
The last person I spoke to was Andy on the 4th Feb who assured me it would be sorted in the next few days!
All sorted now thank you.

The company did as they said the instillation team were on time new what they had to do and completed the job in the time quoted

Job was done & as far as can be seen, all insulation is where it should be. The operatives involved were pleasant enough, but did not follow the requested instructions on the route through the property, to carry the old stuff out & the new stuff in. Consequently, the wrong doors were used & were left open to the outside world, without pushing them to at least.

I cannot recommend this company enough. Helpful and on hand with any issues (only 1) regarding my solar panels. Thanks guys

Friendly, efficient staff. From the members of the team doing the physical work, to the staff who came to the house to survey and quote for the job, and those in the office who dealt with queries and payment over the phone.
All are excellent. Highly recommend this company.

Very satisfied with Protec Solar installation .I had 10 panels a battery and inverter installed by them . I have had it for 3 months now and wanted to see my electricity bill before I wrote a review . My bill has dropped down by about 80% more or less what I was told .I have always wanted solar and am very pleased that I have finally done it . The blokes that did the installation were very polite and tidy . I have seen their vans at Bodmin Rugby Club each time I drive past nice to deal with a local company . I had a few questions during and after it was fitted and all the people I spoke to were extremely helpful and on a couple of technical aspects they got back to me very quickly very good customer service I can happily recommend them and their work .

Since installation in July, comms with system not stable. Certificate errors so not being paid for export. System failed - exporting electricity when batteries not full, importing from grid when batteries have enough charge. Electricity costs currently more than before I installed. Cannot speak to anyone at Protec and receptionists tell me they are too busy to take my call. 4 months since instal and not properly working and guarantee worthless with Protec.

Missold spray foam

We bought solar panels and a battery system from Protec. The installation went well and the system is very good. However the sales agents will say anything to get your business and offer false promises for example free solar panel cleaning and having your system moved for a fixed sum if you move property. They have now backed out of this as it's not in our contract despite having emailed proof.

The after service is very poor. The solar panel team are never available when phoning and never call back when asked, lots of chasing up. They promised to get our DNO certificate done within 2 weeks of installation so that we could export electricity back to the grid. Months went by with nothing happening and it only got done when I took it over myself, it only took 2 weeks then! We missed out on a good amount of exporting during good weather.

We have recently had an electric charging point fitted to the house by Protec. From start to finish, the team made it easy with great communication, all questions answered and were reliable and friendly.

Fair price, efficient, reliable and prompt service

The installers were quick and tidy and very helpful, the service I received was excellent. And the solar panels look great. The customer services were very helpful.

Whilst I do not normally take unsolicited phone calls, I am delighted that I took this one! The whole process was easy. Our Sales representative Ben was extremely efficient and provided us with all the information we required. The Installation was very fast, efficient and extremely tidy. The installation of the spray foam is already producing dividends, with less gas usage.

Polite staff , everything was explained, the installation team were lovey , they tidied up after , no fuss .
