Having moved a number of time over the previous years we've had experience of a number of solicitors, with Reena and Beckie being by far the most conscientious, diligent and efficient for our conveyancing - their communication was excellent and they continued to manage our house sale effectively. I can't rate them highly enough 11/10 and would recommend to anyone looking to find a first class solicitors.

I asked Porter Dodson ( Louise Wooten ably helped by her assistant Tiffany Powell ) to act for me and my wife in selling a large London house and simultaneously buying a similarly priced apartment in the same borough of London. The two transactions totalled several million pounds. The conveyancing in the latter case was voluminous, but both transactions proceeded without a hitch and completion was achieved simultaneously in line with previous promises and commitments.

We had to get a flat purchase in Exeter done very quickly. Nicola Hughes and her team at PD pulled out all the stops to get the purchase over the line in an amazingly short time - 2 months from first viewing the flat to moving in! This was despite major complications with the Land Registry. Throughout the rather fraught (for us) process, Nicola was efficient, calm, reassuring and kept us well informed.
Very highly recommended.

Complex sale for a number of reasons but the impressive part was when our solicitor was on vacation and a partner stepped up and got highly involved in problem resolution - not usual in our experience
The complexity was historical but once all parties were focussed on completion the required result was achieved

The House sale / purchase was unfortunately a long drawn out process due to my buyers chain taking a long time to exchange/ complete ,this was with no fault of the solicitors .

Porter Dodson dealt with the many complex aspects of my parents' Wills and estates, including an investment portfolio and money left in trust over 40 years previously. I was very pleased with the friendly, professional, attentive and expert way all aspects were handled.

From the 22nd October 2025, when I came to ask Porter Dodson for assistance with the sale of my home. I have been given nothing but quick and efficient work from Reena. Her emails have always been understandable. All questions have been answered with her confidence which enabled me to relax (if possible when selling).
