This firm is on the case! I used them for a property sale and found they respond quickly and keep things moving. They are pleasant to deal with and are reassuring, especially for those of us who only deal with this law and handle such large sums of money two or three times in a life.

Woodstock Legal Services. What should have been a straightforward process following a court award turned into a nightmare scenario spread over nearly three years between 2023-2026.

Charlotte Davitt and Rachael Aydemir competed our conveyancing for the sale of our previous property and the purchase of our new home.
They were both amazing, from the date of instruction communication with us at all stages. Towards the end due to a set completion deadline by developers they were fantastic at ensuring our sale and completion happens on the set date by putting the right amount of pressure on our purchasers solicitor. We would have no hesitation in recommending them and thank them both for all their hard work.

Extremely disappointing experience with Woodstock Legal Services, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this firm.

We were part of a lengthy property chain and were unfortunate enough to be directly affected by the delays caused by Woodstock Legal Services. Their handling of the chain was extremely poor and ultimately held up exchange and, even more seriously, contributed to the transaction not completing on the agreed completion date.

Arooj Lodhi was the solicitor dealing with the chain, and communication was consistently far below the standard you would expect when dealing with something as important and time-sensitive as a house transaction. Responses were often not provided in a timely manner, updates were difficult to obtain, and there appeared to be very little urgency despite the significant impact the delays were having on everyone else in the chain.

What was particularly frustrating was the lack of anyone available to provide meaningful updates or take ownership of progressing matters. It was incredibly difficult to get any sense that the situation was being treated with the urgency it required.

I want to be clear that this review is not simply about Arooj Lodhi as an individual. The wider issue is with Woodstock Legal Services as a firm. A legal firm should have the appropriate systems, communication and oversight in place to ensure that one transaction does not cause an entire chain to stall. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

The consequences for those of us further along the chain were significant. We had removals arranged, plans in place and were ready to move, only for the transaction not to go through on the agreed completion date. This caused considerable stress, disruption and additional costs that could have been avoided.

When you are dealing with a property transaction, delays have real and immediate consequences for everyone involved. There needs to be clear communication, urgency and accountability. Unfortunately, our experience was that none of these were evident when they were needed most.

We were not Woodstock’s clients, but we were the unfortunate people in the chain who had to deal with the consequences of their handling of the transaction. Based on our experience, I would strongly urge anyone considering using Woodstock Legal Services to think very carefully about whether they are confident they will receive the level of service and communication required for such an important transaction.

To survive the rollercoaster that is moving house you need incredible support.
Charlotte Davitt, Rachael Aydemir, Alix Nicholls and Ella Wachter are the best team you could wish for.

Incompetent
​I strongly advise anyone considering Woodstock Legal to look elsewhere. What should have been a straightforward five-week Transfer of Equity has dragged on for over six months, causing an immense amount of stress and unacceptable delays for both myself and the other party involved.
​Their internal operation is a complete mess. They appear to have lost a massive number of staff, leaving them entirely non-responsive for long stretches. They sent important private documents to the wrong asdress, sent private and confidential documents by normal post - all lost we had to restart again Shockingly, I repeatedly found myself having to guide them on the process using legal information I had to research myself via ChatGPT and Gemini. You should not have to project-manage your own legal team.
​They are simply not worth a single penny. Given the sheer incompetence and lack of basic communication I experienced, I genuinely question the sincerity of any five-star reviews for this firm. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs.

This was my first time buying a property and the process was sooo smooth with the team at Woodstock Legal Services. Samantha, Lee-Anne and Jodie were great. Emails and calls were answered efficiently, questions were answered and I was kept in the loop and updated throughout making it completely stress free. Highley Recommdend.
