The Irish and UK passport photos are two different options on screen as their code format is different. We would need to know if you have selected UK or Irish ID photos when using the booth.

Wasted £10.
You would think in this day and age you would be able to download a photo from their website, but no you can't.
You can only access the digital image from their partners.
Do not waste your money, no good for council websites requiring a photo for a bus pass.

This is a secure service so that no one can access your digital image except you (the customer) using your digital code on the gov.uk website.
From here, you can save the image to your computer or device.

Misleading
No digital copy.
I’m very sure it does not say “UK” passport photo. I need a digital copy so I can use it for some other documents for the same size. I got a printed photo of 4, no options for digital copy. Yes there’s a code and I can retrieve it on gov.uk, but it is 18k and not clear at all.
I chatted with customer service, got the reply said they took off the service.
Do NOT use this one. For the same price of £10, Tesco ones let you enter your email address and send you a clear copy.

If you apply for U.K. ones this was okay, it does provide an initial check when taking the photo.

Our UK photo booths only offer photos suitable for UK ID purposes.
This information is provided on screen when you select UK passport photos.
We also offer visa photos for the US and India.

No use for visas
these might work if you want a UK passport but for a visa the digital photo if you try to download what you get is less than 20kb so totally useless - don't waste your money..

Our booths do not offer or advertise digital Visa photos.
We only offer digital UK passport photos. These photos are accessed from the gov.uk websites online passport application.
This information is provided for customers on screen in the booths.

The printed photos were ok, but no digital copy!
The printed photos were ok, but I was unable to download the digital version from anywhere. Photo-Me doesn't not provide a download service for digital copy of the picture I paid for, which is unacceptable. Passport photos are needed for more than just passports, and photo-me doesn't seem to recognize this. I had to pay for another booth service effectively, and wasted money with photo-me.

I took passport photos - the right ones but when I went to download, it took me to id-pass website where the Unique Code was not accepted despite putting the correct digits!! No support out of hours, bad service and I needed to do the application urgently!!! Will be requesting for my refund and go to other places

Although quality problems with the Photo Booth & unclear upload options for digital photo, the online Chat Help Team was very responsive, helpful and (hopefully) effective.

Great customer service, thanks!
Great customer service through their email address, very prompt reply and easy to follow instructions were given so I could obtain the digital copy of my ID photo, which wasn't sent to my email for some reason when taken at a PhotoMe booth. All that was needed was to start a passport renewal application, and when prompted to type in your unique digital photo code, you do that and then clicj kn the image to download it. Then you are free to cancel the application. Many thanks!

Very poor quality of washing.Waste of time and money.
The washing machine did not clean my whites. Very poor quality of washing. I will not use it again. I have paid 5.5 pounds for nothing. Please avoid it.

It was my mistake ..I choose the wrong…
It was my mistake ..I choose the wrong option.The photo was for an Irish Passport and not a British....and as they are not interchangeable the code will not work. However, I explained my predicament to a lady Lucy on live chat and a refund will, I am assured, be on its way in due course. In the meantime, I shall now start the procedure again, and as they say in engineering terminology I shall RTFM !

Digital photos for passport do not pass UK passport photo requirements - the file is too small.
This company is a scam and not fit for the purpose it is set up for.
Do not get your passport photos done in these booths - UK passport office will not accept them

We are very sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with our product, however, I disagree that you have been scammed.
When applying for a UK passport online, The photos are accessible on the Gov.uk website using your unique digital ID code printed on your photo printout.
This is a secure online service set up by the passport office so that no one else can assess your image. This information is clearly provided on screen in the booth when you select the digital UK passport option. Customers are asked to agree to this by selecting (OKAY) in order to make payment and take the photo.
Your photo printout also provides a link to the gov.uk passport application website for you to access your image.
Some booths offer customers the option to email a copy of the image, however, this photo is not usable for a UK passport and this option is currently being removed from the booths.
With an average of 14000 customers a day applying for a UK passport using the digital code, I can assure you our photos are fit for purpose.
