Philips is abominable
Philips is abominable . Read this. Paid 3 times for an electric mop only to be refunded 3 times. Speaking to Malaysian or Philippino call handlers each time , their English is very poor. Each phone call lasted forever and waiting times were 2 minutes every 2 minutes , lol , according to recorded voice . 12 mins later they answered .
This company is pathetic my advice don’t purchase anything from them.
They are a disgrace and deserve to go out of business . Dutch rubbish.

My partner bought me a Phillips coffee machine for Christmas. Just over four months later, the coffee bean grinder stopped working. I contacted Phillips due to the unit being under warranty and they quickly arranged collection the next day for it to be repaired.
A week later, I receive an email to say that my coffee machine was damaged in transit and it was my fault for insufficient packaging, therefore the warranty is now voided. My options were to pay £135 for a repair or a 20% discount off a new machine, an utter farce.
Firstly, I was told to box the unit, which I did. There were no specific instructions I.E bubble wrap. If they had given these clear guidelines, prior to collection, I would have adhered to them however I was simply to told to box the machine. Secondly, the true root cause of the damage is how the package was handled by the courier, if it had been handled with care, I wouldn't be sat writing this review. Furthermore, Phillips should have informed them of the fragile nature.
If Phillips have expectations of packaging, they should either provide this or tell the customer exactly what they expect. I find it baffling that a company of this size have made a judgement completely based on assumption and their first thought is to blame the customer. The package was boxed and sealed, it may have lacked bubble wrap but it wasn't shipped in a bin bag. Their determination to argue with me rather than taking the issue up with the courier is truly astonishing. Their processes failed and they have laid all of the consequences on me, a paying customer.
I will never buy a Phillips product again, not even a lightbulb and I urge anyone reading this review to do the same.
Useless
Useless. Ordered and never even got an email confirmation. Money came out of my bank. 4 times I've tried to speak to someone via WhatsApp each time they say the will look to resolve it and nothing. They stole my money and ignored me -AVOID
Order not received
Order not received — DPD ignored delivery instructions and I cannot collect until tomorrow. I’ll go with Amazon next time.
I placed an order with Philips and arranged for it to be delivered today. I left clear delivery instructions for the parcel to be left downstairs if I was out. Instead, DPD’s driver ignored those instructions entirely, marked the delivery as missed, and redirected my parcel to a Co-op at 192 Baker Street, Marylebone (NW1 5RT) — a location that is far from my address and entirely inconvenient.
I received notification of this at 12:23 today (21st May) and have been told the earliest collection date is 22nd May. As far as I’m concerned, I have not received my order on the agreed delivery date.
I understand Philips may not control DPD’s drivers directly, but the choice of courier is yours. When customers leave delivery instructions and those instructions are ignored, resulting in failed deliveries and significant inconvenience, that reflects on the brand. I’d urge Philips to review their courier partnership with DPD. Next time I will definitely order with Amazon which I regret not doing. Disappointing experience overall.
DO NOT BUY, STAY AWAY!!
I have 2 Philips ambilght tvs which I bought within months of each other. I thought they were great at 1st due to the light at the back!! How wrong I was!! After a few years both have me stressed out. I can't afford to buy another 1 TV at the moment never mind 2, but both tvs will randomly turn off and on, taking a while to do this, and when you're in the middle of a film ect its the most stressful thing!! Especially as a woman going through bad menopause and mental health issues. I'm surprised I've not hit it with something yet!! I use sky and another thing that happens is the tv will randomly turn from the sky input to the tvs main homepage, and I've got to turn it back using the input button, which again can take a few attempts at. So in a nutshell DO NOT BUY don't waste your money or have it stressing you out. I have 2 that do the exact same surely not a coincidence. I have no insurance and its past the warranty but funnily enough I can't find anywhere to complain to Philips!!

Cannot replace Philips lightbulbs
I need to replace some Philips downlighter lkightbulbs. They are no longer available. The product number cannot be found on their systems and it is impossible to get any help online. I managed to speak to someone on the phone who recommended two alternative products, but both of them were completely different and vompletely unsuitable. I have tried iother suppliers but nobody can help. I used to thiunk Philips were a reputable company. I have changed my mind. This is utterly hopeless.

Bought an iron from them after replacing it with a wonderful Morphy Richards one which lasted 10 years and what a mistake. Had it less 2 years, minimal use of once a week and it has broken twice. If it was fixed under warranty and it breaks again apparently there is no warranty with it but there is if i pay for it? Their customer service is terrible. I had somebody call me back to say I had to pay £100 to get it repaired. I said i don't want it repaired as it is a waste of money as it had been repaired already for the same issue. They told me thank you for bringing this to.our attention and it helps us! How does this help me?? Terrible company.

My philips sonicare toothbrush stopped working properly, I went through the Philips site to request a replacement and it was super easy. They just needed the product number, serial number, a few details about the failure, proof of purchase and some personal details. A few days later it’s accepted and my new toothbrush is on the way. Couldn’t have gone smoother.

Incorrect product description, poor customer service
I purchased the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 toothbrush, which is advertised as highly effective.
When I made the purchase, I carefully reviewed the product description, which stated that a charger would be included. However, upon opening the package, I discovered that the charger had a two-pin plug, indicating it was either a European version or designed specifically for bathroom use. Unfortunately, this type of plug does not fit my sockets, and the description did not specify that it was a bathroom charger, which I consider a significant oversight.
I contacted Philips customer support, and the representative informed me that the charger was appropriate and suitable for use in bathrooms across the UK. However, I was unaware that all UK bathrooms would have such outlets, and my bathroom does not. Additionally, there was no mention in the product description that it would be a bathroom charger.
The support staff suggested that I either purchase an additional charger or return the product. In my opinion, the product description does not accurately reflect the actual condition of the item. As a result, I am giving it a rating of two stars.
Worse shavers than 40 years ago
Philips should be ashamed of themselves, I had a 3000X shaver bought for me and being a battery model like all Philips now, it is a worse shaver than they produced 40 years ago when they were mains operated. Under powered and not a smooth result. Disgraceful.
Disappointing customer service and failed product
I rarely leave reviews, but this has been an incredibly frustrating experience from start to finish.
I purchased a Philips vacuum less than two years ago, and the AquaSpin floor head has already failed. For a product at this price point, I would expect far better durability.
What’s been even more disappointing is the customer service. I was given conflicting information throughout. I was told parts weren’t available, then offered a paid repair with no guarantee, then told parts still weren’t available, and finally directed to source the same part myself through a third-party service centre.
After escalating the complaint and having these issues acknowledged, the outcome was still that I would need to either send the unit away for repair or arrange the replacement myself. After weeks of back and forth, this has been a complete waste of time for what should have been a simple issue.
It’s also hard to ignore the environmental aspect. A largely plastic appliance failing in under two years, combined with how difficult it is to obtain replacement parts, raises serious concerns about product longevity and sustainability.
Overall, very poor product durability and an unnecessarily difficult customer experience. I would not purchase from Philips again based on this.
Terrible customer service
I bought a Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush from a Boots shop in December 2023, and by October 2025 it had stopped working properly. I tried calling Philips but their Customer Support service is appalling - just a blurry sounding recorded message with option selections that don't work. I then searched for them online and provided the Serial No., receipt, photos, and all details requested. At the end of that, an online message appeared confirming they would send me replacement base for my Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush. I was prompted to click on something to obtain an Activation code, which I did. I did everything asked. After all that, I didn't receive a confirmation email, and it is now April 2026 and I haven't received the promised replacement base for my toothbrush. In the meantime, I have bought a Suri toothbrush. I will never buy a Philips electric toothbrush again, and am inclined to avoid all Philips products.
Just Terrible...
Genuinely the most anti-consumer customer service I have ever experienced. I have attempted to get through to the right department six times now. I have been redirected 3 times and how now just been ignored. This issue has been ongoing for the past month, with no resolution in sight.
This all resolves around faulty head lights I received. This type of issue needs to be solved quickly, especially as I drive a lot when it is dark (early mornings and late nights).
I am not one to write many reviews, but I thought it would be beneficial for other people to know just how little they value their customers.

I bought a water dispenser ADD5910M but almost 2 years but recently I find some algae appears in the water tank and also inside a part can't be disassembled to wash. I raise this problem to them but they can't help. I am very disappointed as this will affect the health of my family.

The customer service is just weird. They start replying and then they ghost you. It happened to me with several orders where I had to send the device for repair. For one of the items, they just stopped replying. For the other I managed to send it to repair, and I received it back... still not working. So I emailed them again, they started replying but then no reply. Thank you for a waste of time and money.
