Unable to activate card, no help from costumer service over the phone None. The woman talks such nonsense that you want to cry, and writing emails isn't any better either. Avoid them; it's better to have nothing than a card from them because it doesn't work anyway.

I wrote about this exact same issue back in February 2024 here on Trustpilot (verification to either email or mobile phone not working for the ‘Get my eCard’ app’ to register a new Perx Card. The response at the time was the company was integrating to a new system (the app) and therefore there were some issues during this integration that caused this to happen.

Roll forward to now December 2025 and the same issue again is happening. It’s hard to understand how such a simple process can be made so difficult. At this point I see no reason to use Perx anymore, it used to be relatively easy to register and use their cards, now it just an exercise in frustration.

Great service in 2025 .... Attented to a large order, was advised all trough the process and cards arrived within 1 week from order to Receipt. All Good and everybody pleased

Existing customer refused service because it was below a minimum order of €5,000 for new customers. Provided proof of being an existing customer on multiple times, its clear they do not appreciate repeat business. Customer service advisor responses where poor at best and site contains false advertising i.e. advertising that no minimum order was required for existing customers. Will never use this service again. avoid at all costs.

Response to Prex below. Too late its very telling when a company has over 70% 1 star reviews for there service. Again avoid at all cost no customer loyalty

Was gifted 2 cards by by employer in Nov 2023. However, due to moving houses at the time they were packed away and only recently came across them. I activated both today, only to fund that one card no longer has a balance and the other is half depleted due to their €3 monthly maintenance fee kicking in after 12 months. Not sure what "maintenance" takes place and this falls nothing short of robbery. Will be advising my company to avoid Perx rewards for our employee rewards programme in the future.

Received an email today after following up twice via phone stating the following:

We are experiencing an extremely high volume of orders and thus the onboarding process is struggling to maintain their pace at this time of the year.

We are trying our best to meet the deadline but the volumes are extremely high at this time and we are unable to give a date as to when your account will be approved.

I would suggest perhaps making alternative arrangements for this season. I believe the analysts are prioritising the bigger orders, which may leave the smaller orders with little time to get over the line before Christmas.

I'm very sorry for this inconvenience.

Terrible, third year ordering a digital card and it's getting harder! I cancelled and bought a competitor. I also agree with other reviewers on the poor user friendliness of the card.

If you need to phone the Perx Reward cards support be sure to have stress balls at the ready because they are an absolute incompetent and idiotic bunch to deal with. Extremely poor English. Asking the same questions over and over. Pay your money for a service and get monkeys!

Worst card ever. I received a card from my company last year 2024 and I can't use it. I can't add the card to Amazon or Apple Pay, and when I try to use it in physical stores, it's declined. How can I use this card?

The Balance is for the card , that is finish in 2024
Imposible to get my balance on the actual card. It said my security number is wrong.
Also,The contact number on the web 353 1 255 7111 .... is not in service
neither on this number +44 844 870 .

Why the web doesn't work ? why do no recognise the security code, and it is working by the phone call ?
It tooks me three times to call until finally +353 (0) 1 901 0432..
Very difficult to used this card..

They provide us with a card similar to a 'mastercard' yet they can't guarantee where it will be accepted which defeats the whole purpose. Additionally, they can't transfer the balance of a card to your bank account, unlike other providers, so from an end user perspective its not something I would recommend. Just give cash instead.

Perx cards are ridiculously complicated to use. Trying to find a balance or register a card feels like an episode of “The Crypto Factor” instead of a simple gift card experience. They keep changing or requesting new passwords, adding layer after layer of pointless security steps that nobody asked for.
A gift card should be quick and convenient. Perx have managed to turn it into a frustrating, time–wasting mess. Avoid if you want something straightforward.

I'd rather pay 45 tax on a bonus than torture myself my staff with their trickery.

I have always used the PERX cards however i will not be using again. I rang this morning to see if i could change my physical card to a digital as many shops now don't have terminals that accept the swipe option therefore not practical in many situations. There really should be a pin option if this is the case as it limits where you can use them. On ringing first i was told that i should contact my employer as my name did not match , i advised i was the employer. Therefore my employees would have been diverted back to me. It was clear the caller took the number of my card down incorrectly and i had to prompt further for her to recheck. My details were then verified and i was just advised that this was not an option. Very unhelpful and i advised that i wouldn't be using perx this year for my employees. I have been advised that Clevercards is a good alternative so we will try these this year.

Ellie and Hayden promptly sorted out my issue with activating my Perx card, I had issue with getting the surname correct as I have an apostrophe in my second name which caused problems as I was using wrong character. They correctly identified this issue quickly, even updating me on the weekend, and now my card is ready to go.
