From the moment I spotted the car online and filled in the form to test drive right through to driving off the forecourt with the car in my ownership, Scott in Bournemouth East was really helpful. Swiftly arranged for the car to be brought from Salisbury then helped with sorting a great part Ex deal when I was ready to buy. This is the second time using Penton and I would definitely go back a third time.

Penton is the third garage we’ve been forced to use for my wife’s Motability vehicle. The service was completed, and the car was booked in to address two specific issues: a stop-start fault and a handbrake wiring repair.
​The day before drop-off, I explicitly informed them that the stop-start system was currently working and asked if they still needed the vehicle overnight. They insisted on taking it to run "their own checks."
​Fast forward to 3 PM on the day of the repair: I had to call them for an update, only to be told that—surprise, surprise—the stop-start system was working. Far worse, they admitted they couldn't even fix the primary issue—the handbrake wiring—and stated it would have to be sent to another dealership (one of the exact failed dealerships that bounced us to Penton in the first place).
​After wasting our time and failing to carry out the core repair, I vocally expressed my completely justified frustration. Rather than taking accountability, a staff member stepped in with an insufferably condescending, patronizing attitude, talking down to me and escalating the situation further.
​A word of advice to management: When your garage fundamentally fails a customer and wastes their time, you apologize, take ownership, and de-escalate. You do not act obtuse, arrogant, and condescending. Absolute failure from start to finish. Avoid this dealership.

From start of choosing a car scott player was very good listen to what we needed for a car and was very confident and answered all our questions when we chose the car we was interested in Scott explain all the features in the car and we took it out for a test drive, I felt very confident driving the car as Scott show me everything I needed to do, when we were going through the process of ordering the car and doing the paperwork Scott was very good explaining everything about the ordering and what will happen going forth when it comes to collecting the car and told me all documents I would need to have with me on the day of collection, Scott contacted me when the car arrived at the dealers and arranged a day for me to come and on the day of collection it was very straightforward and not stressful Scott answered all my questions, I felt very confident driving away with the new car from the car dealers Scott was very friendly, great communication, overall the experience was stressed free

The process of buying a (nearly) new MG4 from Penton was very smooth. Sam responded quickly to my email inquiry and we arranged for a site visit a couple of days later. Sam answered all of my questions on my test drive and the car was well presented. All compliance issues were followed and the options available to purchase were very well explained. A fair valuation was given for my trade in vehicle. After paying a deposit and date for collection was agreed whilst the car was serviced, valeted and a ceramic coating applied to the paintwork. The car was waiting for me a week later, fully charged and I drove off a happy customer. Sam was a pleasure to deal with and always happy to answer any questions. A job well done. Thank you.

this company do not put things right when things go wrong nor are they a member or recognised by the motor ombudsman so when things go wrong you have no support. There levels of communication are very poor when dealing with problems. I was told several times that enquiries would be made regarding my complaint and have received nothing. I suggest if you want good service from a company you go somewhere else.

Looking for an electric MG on the recommendation of a family member, we went to Pentons. Every member of staff from the outset was most friendly and helpful. Having been introduced to Sam Lever on the sales team, he became our point of contact, and was excellent from start to finish. He was patient with our inexperience and lack of knowledge with EVs, but not patronising. Sam knew the product range well and got to know our circumstances and needs and responded with empathy. He didn't pressure us at all, encouraged us to go away and reflect on our best choice of model, and we took time to make a final decision. We returned for a final test drive prior to buying. At this point he explained all the paperwork and options, which he continued when we collected our vehicle.
He has been in contact since to check we are satisfied with the car. We feel confident we can ask anything at any time and it will be answered.
Sam displayed good humour and had a warm, engaging and relaxed manner. He was totally professional.
