4 days from start to finish, very impressive indeed!!

My daughter applied for a passport for my grandson in October. We have been asked to send his birth certificate, his grandparents marriage certificates, his parents marriage and birth certificates. All of these have been sent by recorded delivery at different times when asked for, costing a fortune. Unbelievably my daughter has had a email stating that they have moved house since the application, and can she send a utility bill for proof of address. They have lived in the same house for 11 years and still live there. Somehow the passport office has mixed up my son in laws parents address with their address which is 140 miles away. My daughter and son in law spoke to a passport advisor on Friday and explained all this and the advisor told them not to worry obviously a mistake has been made and it will be rectified. Would you believe she had the same email today asking for proof of address. My grandson is going on a school trip abroad after Christmas and will need his passport.

Couldn't be Simpler to renew online and upload a digital photo. Both passports returned within 7 days. Excellent service and a big thank you to the team.

Super impressed with the passport renewal service. Online code to link photo from snappy snaps and then 4 days from start to finish to receive my new passport using the standard service. The form was easy and quick to complete and I received informative texts with status updates at every stage. Couldn't be better , only wish it was a red EU one and not blue.

Expensive but very efficient.

This was an online renewal. Web site was clear and easy to use. Took three attempts to get my photo accepted - but they explained why they didn't like first two - so fair enough.

7 working days with almost daily updates was perfect.

1. Confirmation of application & payment
2. Reminder to post back the old passport
3. Confirmation of receipt
4. Notice that everything was OK / approved
5. Being Printed
6. Being posted and next day delivery from Post Office

I love to complain but the service from the Passport office was unexpectedly "Amazon-like" - and I've had slower Amazon deliveries!

I renewed my passport online and had received my new passport within one week. Fantastic service - Thank you!

Had to send my passport and marriage certificate to change my name. Very quickly done but my marriage certificate came back all crinkled and it was stuck on the sticky part of envelope. Has we tried to get it off it's ripped. Not impressed.

I asked for a refund 1 day after application and they advise of not giving refunds! They have refused the only professional (postmaster/pharmacist) I know as a witness to my photo. They now advise me to see a commissioner of oath to whom doesn't know me from adam?? These commissioner of oath are full on chargable solicitors companies! Complete Scam!

I called them again and was asked if I am employed, when I replied no the adviser hung up on me! I'm retired on ill health! Doesn't give them the choice to hang up on a .gov agency.

I completed and submitted an online application on a Saturday. I posted my old passport on Monday. I received my new passport on Friday. Throughout the week I had 3 status updates from the passport office.
This has to be one of best experiences I have had with a Government agency.To receive a new passport in 7 days is outstanding.

Saying all approved then it’s been printed then tracking being delivered Tuesday I booked a week turnaround I would say 1st class service

From the time of submitting my online passport application to receiving my new passport was just eight calendar days. Outstanding. I also rang the UK passport office and spoke with James regarding receipt of my supporting documents. Again, his level of support and professionalism was a first class. If only HMRC were anywhere near this standard…

So I applied for my passport last friday 17.10.25 process was quick and relatively pain free (except the price lol) I was really worried that id need someone to sign my picture for my renewal as ive lost alot of weight in the 10years since my last one was taken but nope all was good everything accepted fine the updates throughout were brilliant and my passport arrived safely today 22/10/25 after expecting to wait 3 weeks like the gov site and chatgpt advised im really pleased to have my new passport so quick great service

Submitted online renewal on Monday afternoon, new passport delivered to my house on Saturday. Biggest hassle having to go to a Post Office to return my existing passport. Excellent communication throughout process. Fa too many horror stories about broken processes - this one works; well done to everyone who works in the department.

Absolutely First Class service received when renewing my passport. Online application form clear and straight forward to complete. Excellent, prompt and clear communication throughout keeping me fully aware of the approval, print and delivery status. Absolutely fantastic all done on line sent my old passport to them they have returned it separately to my new passport thank you all at office over the moon thank you kindly

Excellent communication and quick turnaround. Writing this for others who need to know how long its going to take. I needed a passport in 23 days. I sent off old passport on next day delivery and two days later got text from passport office to say that it had been received. 1 week later I got a text to say that it had been approved. 2 days later I got a text to say it was printed and would be delivered. 1 day later I got text from Royal Mail to say it would be delivered that day. In all I received it back 2 weeks after posting my old one. I’m glad I did not go for the speedy service which meant going to an appointment and costing more. In all the communication was excellent and the time scale was 13 days from sending old passport to receiving new one with extra pages.

the web service is ok, but the design suck

Absolutely amazing, I applied for my Passport renewal on a Wednesday and received the new document Tuesday of the following week. I was kept updated throughout the application. For ref I used the standard service.
