Bought my bike in simple puncture, advised i can happily leave my bike over night. I leave asking how much total will be, i was told around £30/£40. Even showing me the parts used and the cost for replacement. I then come in following day and was tried to be charged £90+ for a simple repair.

I simply reminded them both ''do you remember before i left, asking what the total would be so i know what to expect, where you kindly showed me the parts and prices (1x£10 part, and £20/30 labour).

In which they responded oh yes sorry thats our fault, it'll be £60. I paid it just to avoid grief with these cowboy bikers.

AVOID AT ALL COST.

I am a Bikeability instructor working locally - I had an issue with my bike and needed it fixed so I could work again the next day - a colleague had recommended them. They were friendly and knowledgeable and were able to fix it while I waited. Thank you to Bailey and Mike and for the cup of tea!

I work as a bikeability instructor and whilst working nearby my brake cable snapped . I was advised previously how helpful they were . I called the shop and they managed to fix the bike in my lunch break. The staff were very polite and the price was very reasonable.

Customer service is exceptional. Very helpful staff who fixed a problem with my bike whilst I waited. Refreshments offered which is a nice touch. Highly recommend.

What a great job the team did servicing my bike—I’m not sure it’s had that much TLC in years! Stuart followed up with a call to explain what work was needed and kept me updated throughout the process. The bike ran beautifully, and I was able to enjoy my very first bikepacking trip without a hitch. Massive thanks to Stuart and the team. Highly recommend!

Had 3 bikes with all types of issues. The East Grinstead team advised me on what type of service plan & repairs I would need and what additional work was required. From the moment I entered their shop and explained the problems they did everything to ensure I fully understood what was required. This is my fourth time using OYB at East Grinstead and every time they always provide an excellent service in both the quality of work and their customer service too, Even extending their support to help me load the bikes onto the roof rack. Would most definitely recommend using this team and I would like to thank you for all you did to fast-track some of the repairs as well as the excellent work.All bikes have been heavy tested and no issues to report back.

I recently had my 14 year old Brompton m3l serviced and refurbished at the Sutton Coldfield branch. The drive train was completely worn out. They replaced the bottom bracket, cranks, sprocket, chain and chainring. They also repacked the gear hub and did a full service. John did a really great job and it looks and rides like new. The cost was very reasonable and below what I had budgeted. It absolutely deserves the 5 star review. Highly recommended.

The East Grinstead store is the classic good bike-shop that everyone with a bike needs - very nice people, good knowledge, helpful. They're on the old site of the Felbridge blacksmith, and I think of them as carrying on the same tradition of keeping transport running well. Highly recommended.

My friend and I hired a couple of bikes, it was late in the day but we were still able to hire. My bike was new. Staff are lovely, helpful. Milport is a lovely day out made better with shops like these

I turned up with a problem relating to back wheel and gears last weekend.

They fixed the problem and got me on the road , all done at a reasonable price and with a smile.

Michal was a pleasure to deal with when hiring a bike for the Blenheim Triathlon. He kept me fully to up to date and then when I met him and the team on the day they were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

I visited the Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield) store. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and able to assist me the same day (I turned up within 10 minutes of calling and they fixed my bike issue promptly) and at a very reasonable cost. What a lucky find! From the young lady who held the door open for me, to the free cup of coffee (in a proper cup with saucer), biscuit, good value inner tube to the advice on the cause of my puncture. Would highly recommend a visit. My only complaint is that I don't live closer!

Michelle and the team at the East Grinstead store were very helpful in helping me choose my Orro bike which I love. The after sales service has been excellent and I’ve been back to buy cycling shoes and for a 3 month service. Thank you for making me feel a valued customer.

Had used a bike dealer in Tunbridge Wells but decided to try one closer to me hence my visit to On Your Bike. I had back brake problems which I was unable to fix myself so booked in for a service with priority going to sorting the back brake out. One particular female member of staff (she may even have been the owner) made it clear what a huge favour she was doing in agreeing to look at my bike. When picking it up the next day the same female asked me how much I paid for the bike, quite a rude question in itself (it was bought second hand off e-bay) and then proceeded to tell me how I had overpaid for the bike. That may have been true but a quite unnecessary and rude remark to make to customer. She then proceeded to tell me I was rude! Its a shame because the guy who worked on the bike did a good job and took time to explain what he did. The elder male assistant who checked me out was also very courteous. However I do not spend hundreds of pounds only to be treated rudely and be made fun of so will not be returning despite the other members of staff being excellent.

I cannot praise the staff at On Your Bike in East Grinstead more highly. I recently bought two 'Volt' folding electric bicycles. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, but there was no hard sell at any time which was lovely. The bicycles have both surpassed our expectations. I had a little glitch on mine, yet On Your Bike took it in for a service without question. The bike was tested, stripped and rebuilt very quickly. The service was stunning. Good old-fashioned service, but all with modern technology. They can teach so many other businesses about how to treat the customer properly. It is a real pleasure to go there, and I know that both my bicycle and I are being given excellent service. Thank you.
