Absolutely disgusting company I parked…

Absolutely disgusting company I parked at Regents Building in York to use the Co-op I also needed to go to the pharmacy opposite to pick up some medicine but I received a parking fine for “leaving the premises” ie the co-op to go to the pharmacy and did not love my car there are no parking spaces for the pharmacy and I was less than 2 minutes the parking terms say that you will get a ticket if you park and do not use the businesses in regents buildings but I did use the businesses in the building as I went into the co-op appeal was dismissed and now I am getting threatening and abusive letters from a debt collection agency !

Pathetic and disgusting business I won’t be using any of the businesses in the Regents holding in York again because of this parking company

I am disgusted by the system of punishment you adopt to punish service providers who need to use your clients' parking lots (Lidl and KFC). I receive orders to collect and deliver food to the clients of these businesses, and we have to pay a fine for coming to collect these orders! I understand this as a disrespectful, even criminal, action, not giving us options to do our job. I also understand that the only way to park to collect these orders will be in a location that poses a security risk on a road parallel to the entrance, with no loading option in this area.
Abusive in tactics to raise money!

Make sure you photograph your car if you have a blue badge at Lidl

Having parked at Lidl in Newhaven and displayed a blue badge their photographs in direct sunlight by camera did not show it. I appealed and having shown them that I did have a blue badge and also a photograph showing its position did cancel it but on the basis of mitigating circumstances. How many more have been caught by this. I have taken to photographing the car when parking there and will do so in future.

This is what they said:
We acknowledge that a valid Blue Badge was not displayed at the time of the parking event but was provided at appeal. After consideration, on this occasion, the appeal will be approved

That is incorrect - their equipment was in effect faulty and a badge was displayed.

Disgusting and disreputable. They should not be allowed to operate.

RIP OFF COMPANY WHO SHOULD BE ASHAMED…

RIP OFF COMPANY WHO SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES
I had to put 1 star as i did'nt have a choice it would have been 0 if i had that choice
I have used this Lidl store for years in fact ever since it opened and i have known Blue Badge Bays close to the front entrance i found out after getting the fine
About a month ago they change all but 1 of these bays to Mother and Child
I have only just been awarded a Blue Badge so did'nt realise this had been done so i parked in a Mother and Child Bay not knowing it was one put Blue Badge on windscreen and went shopping
I appealed but this was refused it they say i can appeal again but i then have to pay the £100 and dont have the choice of paying the £60 for paying it within 14 days
All company's that use NPM should stop using them and think about there customers I for one will not be using this store again and i have heard a lot of people are going to stop shopping there
I am in my 70 and NPM just want to scam OAP and disabled out of money

Genuine scammers

Genuine scammers. Just for context, I have gotten parking charges before in my lifetime and these were all legit. I obtained this parking charge from a doctors surgery, that has since reduced the number of parking spaces available on purpose to accumulate more parking charges. The number of parking spaces available at this surgery had dropped by 50% with the exact same number of patients within this surgery, 90% of the spaces are taken upon by the doctors and nurses. When I arrived at the doctors surgery there were absolutely no parking, there are about 20 spaces taken up, 100% of them, I waited 15-20 minutes and no one came out, I was about to miss my appointment. I saw that people had parked on the side, out of the way so the parked cars can get out, about 15 cars had done this as it was impossible to find a space. I went inside the doctor's surgery before I parked and asked if this was okay, they said yes absolutely fine, so I proceeded to park there. I was out of my car for about 7 minutes before I came back to my car, turns out I had missed my urgent appointment and they were sending me home. I come out and there was STILL NO PARKING! More people were stacked up on the side of the doctors surgery.

So all in all they are making HEAPS OF CASH from all these poor old sick people who urgently need to be on time for there appointment. I mean I was literally waiting for 15-20 minutes for god sakes, its clear that all the doctors and nurses are parked there.

These scammers genuinely need a lawsuit held against them for reducing the number of parking spaces in order to gain parking fines.

Unfair PCN Experience

I received a PCN for my vehicle while it was in the care of a garage carrying out repairs. I was not driving or in possession of the car at the time—the garage had parked it where it was subsequently ticketed.

Despite explaining this repeatedly, the company has ignored my emails and, whenever I call, I'm simply passed from one person to another without anyone taking responsibility or addressing the issue.

Based on my experience, customer service is virtually non-existent. They appear far more interested in collecting money than dealing with genuine cases fairly or ethically. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company if you expect reasonable communication or common sense.

Ruthless company

My permit fell on floor of car, I am elderly, had 3 grandchildren with me going to church so only 2 hrs stop. The business tried to appeal to NPM as I have permission to park but to no avail. I appealed, did not receive a refusal, I went to complaints, they sent me copy of refusal and offer to pay £20 which I would have just paid. As this was not in any email box so that offer was void. Now £170 debt letter. They are ruthless and care nothing for people and discriminate against elderly and vulnerable who struggle with technology. Phone them and they cut you off as questiin does not fit their system. They must have great job satisfaction being so quick to push debt on vulnerable people.

Beware of Additional Charge when changing vehicle Permit

I own a property in a development in Canary Wharf and am entitled to a yearly permit for my car at a nominal cost. When my car recently became un roadworthy I applied to change my permit to that of my new car. Having only recently renewed my permit subscription I was disgusted to be notified I had to pay a further fee to change the vehicle.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with this parking company.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with this parking company.

My partner and I parked at the Regent Building in York to use the Co‑op. My partner went straight into the store and made a purchase, while I briefly crossed the road (for around a minute) before immediately returning and also making a purchase. We provided receipts as proof that we were both genuine customers.

Despite this, we’ve been issued with a £100 charge on the basis that I had “left the site” — even though my partner remained on the premises and we both used the store as intended.

Our appeal was rejected with no proper consideration of the evidence. To make matters worse, we never received the rejection letter, meaning we were denied the opportunity to escalate to the independent appeals service within the deadline.

Since then, the charge has been passed to a debt collection agency, increased to £170, and is now accompanied by threats of court action and a CCJ.

The entire process feels unfair, inflexible, and designed to penalise legitimate customers over trivial circumstances. There is no accessible customer support, no willingness to engage reasonably, and no recognition of clear evidence provided.

Based on this experience, I would strongly question the fairness of their practices and how they treat customers.

NPM is a money vampire

NPM is a money vampire: suck the life out of financial wise

. Birthday celebration: On the 18th of April, a primary schoolmate invited my son, a sixth-year-old, to his sixth-year birthday celebration at Jump In by AirHop Adventure & Trampoline Park, Slough, SL1 4JU.
. Parents: The boy's parents kindly informed us that parking was all arranged and available free of charge.
. Location Policy: we respected the location policy as we proceeded through the reception area. We responded to all inquiries by the receptionist, who then graciously directed us to the hall reserved for the birthday celebration.
. Reception Responsible: The Reception Responsible role was to either register the vehicle's license plate or to remind me of this obligation. As it was our initial visit to this location, we were unfamiliar with the premises. Despite that, I cannot recall whether the vehicle was registered.
. Parking Policy: anyway, it is free for 4 hours for those using it.
. Evidence: CCTV footage should be available as the primary evidence.
. Apologies: on top of all, I apologise to the NPM if I have forgotten or misunderstood the process, but they still want to charge me through an Agency Collection.

I was given a parking ticket at Regents Building in York for doing my job collecting shopping from the co-op there.
I was 3 minutes and they said I'd failed to park in a parking bay?
I've been and taken photographic evidence of the lines hardly present.
I will no longer serve the community and pick up from there, its just pure greed also I won't use any of the shops there!
I plan to claim the 60 pounds back at a small claims court with costs .

Immoral idiots hiding behind a bank account.

This company bleeds money out of people without any morals or conscience.
I am a pensioner and having experienced a damaged wheel and tyre from a pothole in the rain and at night, I had to get off a three lane road to safely change the wheel.
The nearest available safe place was a hotel car park. It took me 25 minutes in the dark and rain to change the tyre and I have been charged for illegally parking. I only used the car park as a safe place off the main road to change the wheel in the dark. I appealed but it made no difference to these money-grabbing morons who hide behind a desk and bank account.
They have no empathy, no sense, and no sensitivity. It is solely a money making venture with no morals or ethics.

Beware Authorised Scammers

Beware: National Parking Management – A Predatory Scam Preying on the Vulnerable
I recently had a deeply frustrating and infuriating experience with National Parking Management, a company that operates more like a rogue debt collector than a legitimate parking service. My elderly mother, who struggles with mobility and technology due to her age, was slapped with a parking charge notice (PCN) for supposedly overstaying in a car park by less than two minutes. This wasn't an error on her part – it was the direct result of their deliberately confusing signage and archaic payment systems, which are designed to trap unsuspecting drivers rather than facilitate fair use.
Picture this: an 80-something woman, trying her best to navigate a dimly lit car park with tiny QR codes, faded instructions, and no helpful staff in sight. She pulled in briefly to drop off some items, but the "pay here" machine was glitchy, the app wouldn't load on her basic phone, and the signs were a jumble of fine print that even I struggled to decipher. By the time she figured it out (or so she thought), their ANPR cameras had already clocked her – and bam, a £100 fine arrives in the post weeks later, with threats of court and bailiffs if unpaid. This isn't parking management; it's a shakedown, plain and simple.
What makes this truly corrupt is how National Parking Management flouts basic decency and likely UK regulations under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and IPC Code of Practice. Grace periods? Forget it – they enforce zero tolerance, ignoring the mandatory 10-minute allowance for payment errors. Clear signage? Theirs is a nightmare of legalese, positioned too high or obscured, breaching guidelines meant to ensure drivers can comply. And their appeals process? A black hole – my formal complaint was rejected with a boilerplate email, no evidence reviewed, no empathy shown for a vulnerable person. Staff? Non-existent when needed, but quick to issue tickets remotely.
Judging by the flood of similar horror stories online, we're far from alone. Forums like MoneySavingExpert are littered with tales of CCJs landing on innocent doors, disabled drivers fined despite blue badges, and families hit with escalating fees for honest mistakes. Resolver UK logs complaints about ignored appeals and aggressive debt chasing, while sites like Parking Mate highlight how NPM exploits loopholes to bully payers into submission. This isn't isolated; it's a business model built on exploitation, raking in revenue from the confused and elderly while dodging accountability. They're not members of the BPA (British Parking Association) in good standing, and their "management" reeks of unlawful overreach – issuing charges without proper landowner authority or transparent enforcement.
Do yourself a massive favor: Avoid any car park under National Parking Management's control like the plague. If you get a ticket, don't pay – appeal aggressively via their site, then escalate to the landowner, IPC, or even small claims court. Forums recommend templates from Pepipoo or MSE to fight back effectively. In my case, I've got a solicitor on board to challenge this nonsense and recoup costs – and we'll win, because their house of cards crumbles under scrutiny.
National Parking Management: 1/5 stars. More like zero. They're a scam-ridden outfit that preys on the vulnerable, operates outside ethical bounds, and deserves every bit of public backlash. Spread the word – the more we expose them, the harder it gets for them to operate.

Absolute joke. No visible signage until you've already entered the property and they're going to fine you anyway. They don't care about anything. Only went in due to medical emergency. Spent 30 seconds googling to see if I needed to take my daughter to A&E and left. Didn't even get up the drive to the car park! I can promise you I'm never going to that local business again.
Business owners - look elsewhere.

Very disappointed

I had stopped to restart my car as the dashboard console wasn’t working and i couldn’t start the car, I was stationary for 4 minutes before I managed to start the car. For the information this was in place with no traffic at all… I have sent appeal and received what looks like automated reply, so it looks like no one even looked on the appeal just was automatically rejected. I would assume they at least read the appeal and decide individually, but looks like there is nothing legit about this company. They put the contracts in place but not even stick to the rules by themselves…
