Terrible to deal with
Terrible to deal with. Submitted SSC award letters, with scoring, showing higher rate ADP award, highlighted all conditions, copies of all disability cards held, including +1 awards but deemed insuffucient and allocated short distance walking only. I cant walk far, need crutches for that, have spinal and nerve damage, severe spinal stenosis, arthritis in knees, feet and hips yet i was deemed able to stand, queue etc. Dragged out over a month and now unable to attend Radio2 in the park as i need ambulatory seating and blue badge parking. All booked now.
Lack of undrstanding, poor service.

An unnecessary and complicated middle man company. I have been waiting since Nov for an application. A cost of £15. A second application and cost in June. Found out 2weeks ago application was cancelled for to not seeing monetary figures to prove I had the necessary requirements. How invasive! Due to the wait on this I am now £400 down to pay for a PA. I expect this refunded and compensation. Extortion. Staff levels are not fit for purpose and telephone lines are rather short and rude.
Absolutely useless people
Absolutely useless people. No reply to emails and no one answers the phone. Whats the point !!!
Unable to contact customer services to…
Unable to contact customer services to chase up application for nimbus card.
It's been 3 months now since I applied and every time I send an email asking about the progress of my case I just get a computerised email telling me off for clogging up their inbox and told not to keep asking about my card. There's a phone number which is never answered. They've got my £15 but I've got no idea when, or even if, I'll ever get the card. Appalling treatment of disabled people.
This is a ridiculous company. I wish I'd read the reviews first, at least I'd have been prepared for the disappointment.
Never thought I would see the day when disabled people would exploit disabled people
So many theaters are now making it necessary for you to have one of these cards whereas before all you did was email your Pip form and it costs you absolutely nothing now disabled people are forced with all their other costs to pay 15 pounds every three years for this card. It is said that this scheme was invented by disabled people for disabled people if those disabled people ever read on social media about people having to constantly renew things when they're disabilities are lifelong and never change why you have to renew this card every three years is beyond me. If anybody makes a shred of profit from this scheme they should be ashamed of themselves. A total waste of time and achieves nothing that you couldn't get for free before
Appalling
Absolutely appalling. Applied for a card for someone with the worst psychiatric condition known to man (along with anxiety disorder) and was rejected. We were asked to send in information we had already sent over. Our email response was left unanswered. If you have a severe mental health condition, don't bother applying. This organisation seems devoid of understanding, compassion and even plain old politeness. Disability discrimination at its peak.
Had an absolutely awful experience with…
Had an absolutely awful experience with this company. I ordered a card in Jan, it didn’t arrive. I contacted them in Feb to state this and I received a different card number. They said it would be sent. It wasn’t. I moved house and then tried to book a ticket locally and was advised they were using Nimbus so I contacted them to inform them the card never arrived. They tried to charge me £5 extra for them to send the card even though I never received the original. They said they sent it second class and couldn’t provide evidence. When I queried this and asked for a full refund they offered a partial refund only and said they would shut down my account. Considering this is a service for disabled and vulnerable people I am absolutely appalled at the company. Also there is no way to contact them via phone and the people communicating have zero customer service skills.
Scam Company
What a complete and utter scam of a company.
I applied on the 22 January asking for the application to be processed urgently and here I am, nearly 4 months later, still having Nimbus wanting me to prove that my daughter is unable to walk long distances and remain standing for long periods. This is after they received proof that she was awarded PIP at the highest level. They will not accept forwarded emails/PDF files from professionals and expect the professionals to write them directly.
I am convinced that they are deliberately prolonging the application process by asking for more unnecessary information when the necessary information was sent to them in the first instance.
It's irksome that many venues now are only accepting this joke of card in order to book tickets. Avoid if you can and write to your local MP/Venues to ask for this card to be abolished.
Very unhelpful staff.
Very unhelpful staff.
I have two disabilities and for some reason this company will not help you.
I have a blue badge and disability national rail card and I have not had an issue getting them.
Very unpleasant!!
A limitation for most
something that should help people is actually limiting us.
It's practically impossible to get the "evidence" they want.
Despite having a clinic letter that specifically says I struggle with events safely by myself, they still want more proof, that's not enough! They want every tiny detail in the world listing out, which isn't possible because without making a clinician physically follow me around in an eveny, they cannot state everything you ask.
So many providers now take nimbus only or make it extremely hard without it. that it's actually limited my options when going out, If I'm diagnosed with something applicable that should be enough. I shouldn't have to list every disadvantage I suffer with because of my disability, it feels horrible to be declined for something I know I should be able to access.
A barrier to equality
A barrier to equality, this company makes getting any access rights almost impossible to get. When I first applied, they refused all symbols except one. I felt this was better than nothing so accepted, not realising that it did not include a plus 1. Now I have had to go back to them for this to be added, and I’ve sent the EHCP, but they just emailed back ignoring this and asking for evidence. They take ages to respond and they have no ability to look at an individual ‘s case but appear to think because he is a child, he needs adults anyway, whereas he needs one to himself! The card itself is a good idea, but I am feeling as though this is in place to stop disabled people getting a plus 1 etc due to company profits - of course this is just my opinion based on my own experiences. If I could give zero stars I would and this company needs investigating by an independent disability rights organisation.
Another appalling service for people with physical disability
Hello,
Another let down for people with a physical disability. I applied & paid for my card in April but no update & no card. Please can you update me where my card is? I thought Nimbus was meant to make my accessible life easier but the whole scheme just seems to make my booking tickets & getting help in venues harder. I used to be able to just phone up a venue & get the help I need but now I have to go through this impersonal process & lose out on gigs because I still don’t have a nimbus card.
No empathy or understanding - avoid!
This has been ongoing for weeks now. I currently have an Access card but noticed not all the symbols required are on the card.
Trying to get a response (and a timely one) from Nimbus is difficult and when you do get a response there is no empathy or understanding of one's both physical and mental health disabilities. After sending numerous documents to back by request for an updated card they still want more, which means I need to get another doctors letter (at a cost to me of £66) to get my card updated, not including the cost Nimbus will charge me for an update.
For a company who states it "is improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of disabled people every year - enabling them better access to entertainment venues" they should really have a look at their customer service/service delivery.
I am aware that I am not alone in receiving the poor service from Nimbus and the lack of care.
If I had the option for zero stars even this is higher than what they deserve.
You really need to address your 'about' statements, there is nothing you are doing at all to improve the lives of disabled people, you are adding to our difficulties and challenges we face every day.
What’s a joke send loads of private…
What’s a joke send loads of private information no reply back ,email address do not exist either or any contact number feels like a scam where they gather personal information
Taking advantage of disabled people
Nimbus is a scam and they are taking advantage of disabled people. As a carer you have to apply for everything and go through countless applications for pip, diagnoses which takes 3 years of a waiting list, blue badges, bus carer passes, spending you whole life filling out statements and Ehcp plans, and then on top of everything else now you get told venues don't accept any of that as proof and you need this stupid access card - which is yet another form to fill, more paperwork to yet again prove a family member is disabled - only this time instead of getting help you get the privalige of paying £15 to show the world a disabled card as yet more proof of needing a carer and being disabled! And they make themselves the only proof venues will accept. What is the point of waiting 3 years for adult diagnoses and getting a social worker and getting pip and everything else you have to do when you want to go somewhere and now you're told "we don't accept any of that as proof and you need an access card". Oh and when you try to make an access card the website doesn't actually take the payment and when you call them the operator keeps you on hold for a good 5 minutes and then cuts of! Nothing but a scam and should be shut down by the government
Awful
A friend has provided them with all information and they just keep asking for more, I get the impression that they are there to look to not give out passes even though I have proven the condition is covered by the equality act 2010 as it’s in the company that uses them best interest to restrict them. Asked about do the venues pay them any money and been informed that they will no say so it doesn’t take a genius to work out what is happening here I wouldn’t recommend them!
Also why are they charging disabled persons for a card to get the same rights as able bodied is that not discriminatory in itself?
Pointless useless organisation
This group claims to help disabled people however they place so many hurdles in place for people trying to access these passes,if being autistic and having extreme difficulty in large groups of people or having cancer does not progress an application god knows what will.
worst group even seen
worst group ever seen. totally sided with organizations claim to provide assistance to disabled but indeed posing more hardship to bar applications with unreasonable excuses. simply wanna to take advantages from disabled.

I paid for card and emailed requested information. When I tried to find out today why promised card had not arrived it was impossible to get an adviser on the phone and the email I sent will be replied to in 5-10 working days.
Your communication service is not fit for purpose
No dignity
Disgusting scheme… to get a +1 on your card they are discriminating and treating people differently… some people are only asked for proof e.g. the front cover of their pip form, others are asked for a lot more detail including the breakdown/pip pages and all detail. If you question this, including charities disagreeing with the invasiveness they will ignore you and not reply!
