I really enjoyed the course
I really enjoyed the course. I liked the teaching style of Gwion our instructor because he made the information received much more engaging and interesting. He used very good examples to get the message across. The team exercises were great because they led to some good discussions.

Great experience
Stuart was very welcoming and made me feel at ease from the minute I met him.
He made it clear that if anyone needed to leave the room for personal reasons relating to any of the injuries covered then this would be ok. I was grateful to hear as my Mum passed away last year.
Lots of information to absorb but Stuart was a really brilliant teacher.

Ups and Downs
The adaptations to the traditional way of doing first aid were very useful like of person is to tall wide abdominal thrusts from the front ask them to kneel etc. The why we do the things we do in CPR was also helpful and let you understand why you give breaths and the compressions what the mechanics of that is for. I have not given 5 stars as the language of the tutor was a bit on the unsavoury side which is not expected in the organisation I work in and let the trainer down. He was ex services so I suppose the way he always speaks but it was the first time I had experienced that in a work placed training session. He also constantly criticised St Johns which was again not necessary and unprofessional. Overall I was grateful for the training you always learn something new and gain more confidence to act in an emergency if needed

Thank you for your honest review and glad you enjoyed most elements of the course. I have spoken to the trainer and he has apologised for any language that may of been distasteful. He shall take this on board and be more conscious in the future.
We as a company aim to be as professional as possible and do not criticise other companies, the trainer stated some learners mentioned they learnt x y z in the past which was incorrect and therefore as his role as a professional trainer he corrected this stating it was wrong. I do not the ins and out as I was not there.
We shall monitor things and ensure everything you mentioned is rectified.

Our trainer was excellent
Our trainer was excellent. He has extensive knowledge of using first aid over many years in different contexts and he used that experience to enhance our learning. He was also a good laugh, which always helps.
I would definitely recommend.

A fantastic company for first aid training! From booking the course to the actual course implementation, everything was wonderful. The course is great value for money and very reasonable for a school budget. Brilliant first aid course and teacher!
It was a great first aid course. Gwion was excellent and really knowledgeable and shared lots of his experiences with us which was great to give the learning context. It made me feel much more confident to practice first aid and was set at the right level on the day for all the staff. Would highly recommend

Great Session
Jason who was leading the course was very good at engaging and making the scenarios more real life for the group. He brought a great amount of knowledge and this was passed onto the whole group.

The trainer Jason was fantastic at teaching as his manner is one that makes you confident and not afraid to ask questions.
I now feel well equipped to deal with a medical issue in a professional and positive way.

Stuart was a very good trainer
Stuart, managed expectations from the start and ran a relaxed but focused course that enabled participants, all of whom had previously done Emergeny First Aid, to refresh their skills, ask questions and share experiences , this aspect added incite .We also had an opportunity to try Defibrillator, and realise how straightforward to use.

Definitely recommend Gwion for the Paediatric First Aid course
The paediatric first aid course was brilliant. Excellent delivery from Gwion, he answered all our questions and went at a great pace ensuring we understood the content of the course. I feel a lot more confident going ahead with first aid and will definitely recommend to others.

The training was OK but could improve a lot.
The training was good, good information was given but however there were a lot of extra unnecessary topics discussed in details which were not required and when candidates asked question, the correct answer were not given or they were cut off completely. An effective learning takes place when there is two way communication, the trainer interacts with the candidates and gets the answers out of them. She was very experienced and knowledgeable but very bad with time management and bad at keep things simple and to the point. Would have preferred a more group involvement and discussion than watching PowerPoint presentation and making notes.
