dreadful service.

I have yet to receive a reply to me many emails I've sent. I mean, it was the same email which I sent a number of times, because they refused to reply to it. The most disgusting service out there. Stick to PC World, or laptop Direct, far better service!

Had no issues, was worried about bad reviews

I dont normally write reviews but since so many bad ones on here thought I should. I Bought a macbook recently from here. Product was in stock. Prompt delivery and communication. Slightly concerned about passing over driving licence details. Overall very happy with the service.

Are Misco Still in Business

I have placed 4 orders in the past 2 weeks and parts or all have not been delivered. I paid for pre noon next day delivery and the items although showing as in stock have been delayed to the end of November. A planned server move has had to be cancelled as the goods have not arrived.

A complete shambles, no contact just continued delivery delay emails.

Non payment on a credit note is theft

I purchased 100 SDHC type 4 cards. They turned up but had a timing issue, so I agreed a credit for 50 of the remaining unopened card blister packs. £120 credit note was approved by Misco. Since then, daily calls of one hour long and promises of repayment have been a bunch of lies. I realise now that they have literally stolen money from me by accepting back the goods and issuing the credit note. Beware MISCO, their system constantly fails to recognise sales order, or credit note numbers untill you have pushed them for half an hour, after that you go on hold and nothing further happens. The credit department is apparently on hoilday.

Awful - Item was never in stock but they kept me hanging for a month before I cancelled my order.

Bought a cable from Misco at the start of last month and it is now mid way through the next month. I purchased a cable with 3 day delivery and expected to receive it right away. I then waited for over a week before emailing them to ask where my product was. Only then did they send me an email with the delay notication, saying it would be delivered towards the end of the month. I got annoyed and emailed in and they could only offer to refund me my postage money, which never happened.

Fast forward a month and a half later and I was receiving emails every week saying it had been delayed again and again with no reasons for the delay and no apologies. I tried to email customer services again but then kept getting email failure notifications from the company themselves. Today I have finally had enough and rang them up (couldn't do this before as I work during the day) and asked where my product was and the reason for the delay.
I was told they had no idea when the product would be in stock and that it never had been in stock. So I would have just kept endlessly receiving delay notifications.

Unfortunately the product I wanted is hard to come by in the UK, so thats the reason I didnt cancel for so long. I am now having to order it from germany, but it will still probably come quicker than if i waited for misco to get it in stock...

They are now refunding me but said it'll take up to a week. Ridiculous. I'll never use them again.

order a laptop plus warranty.

Paid them during ordering stage, then received an email - "we have received your order. It does not constitute contractual acceptance of the order you have placed. We are currently checking that your order remains available at the price(s) advertised on the Misco.co.uk website when you placed your order. If the price or availability has changed we will notify you by email or telephone within one business day of receipt of this email" - if that is the case, why ask customer to pay first - I did receive confirmation email on order acceptance and delivery time. But no sign of deivery according to their delivery time- query them and being told that the laptop was not available. - what a con! And did they inform the customer - of course. NO! Try to get the refund - oh, no, only the laptop price and not the waranty as they said that they have to check with the laptop manufacturer first. If they do not supply the laptop, how can one activate the warranty (which requires laptop serial number) - how many excuses would they come up with - It is fine for them to take your money straight away but when they would not provide the required service - for the refund, you are at their mercy!!

Very Good customer care for me . . .

I too thought I was going to have a bad experience trying to get a refund on a defective 2TB Freecom drive (which would have been a first after spending many hundred's of pounds with Misco in the 90s and beyond). After being batted around various people at Misco and Freecom for a week I discovered the wonderful Teadora in customer services.
She listened with patience and eventually spoke to her manager who authorised an RMA label for the defective hard drive (and this was after her repeated attempts at trying to get through to several Freecom numbers but getting no answer (as indeed I had wasted time trying Freecom myself).
Teadora informs me the refund may take ten days or so and I hope that's the case (in fact it took less). So Misco/systemax isn't all negative and if only more people who were happy with Misco would review positively instead of voicing negative opinion to make that green in the pie-chart overtake the red. I suspect it's only the people who have a bad experience who voice their opinions which skews the reliability of the feedback..

One week later I thought their previous attention deserved repeat business so I ordered a 1TB Hybrid laptop drive and all went quickly and smoothly.

Fantastic, Speedy, Professional Service

This is my second computer I have bought from Misco and I would only use this company. The first computer I bought was back in 2014 and it has never missed a beat, I am thoroughly pleased to bits with it. My Company has grown and now I have ordered my second computer and will definitely be ordering from Misco again! Can highly recommend.

Fast shipping, great communication

I was worried after I found these bad reviews. I bought a laptop, they shipped in the same day and delivered in 3 days to Ireland. Communication by email was fast, the laptop looks OK. The only thing weird is them asking your passport details to confirm the order... I don't know why it is required, they shouldn't ask this. That's the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars.

I hope somebody reads these reviews before they order!

I wish I'd checked up on Misco before making a purchase.

Ordered an item five days ago and only checked them out afterwards - didn't hold out much hope considering the consistent bad press on TrustPilot!

Safe to say, they are consistently terrible! Turns out my order was not shipped yesterday as the item was on 'back order' and the customer services rep was 'pretty sure' that they no longer have the item in stock.

No contact, no update until I chased. Truly terrible service and the only saving grace is that the refund has been processed within ten minutes...that's where they get their one star, otherwise it should have been less!

Order cancelled on day of delivery as no longer available

Ordered 4 of laptops over 5 days ago and Well what a balls up wait until it the day of delivery to tell me you are out of stock, this is going to cause a lot of problems and extra cost very very poor service and not even any apologies!
Surely selling stuff you do not have is not the way a professional would do business?

Was worried without need

I used to order stuff off them years back and saw they offered DVD's much cheaper than Amazon. Ordered together with a USB stick 3 days ago. Worried because when the email confirmed my order it said they couldn't guarantee prices as advertised. I was concerned and looked at Trust Pilot reviews. They increased my concern!
However the items have arrived in 3 days as promised. The USB was delivered separately by a 3 ton truck! (and I live up a hill in the countryside!)
Also the emails from Misco were all helpful, including separate one to print off for the Invoice.

Refund to my card took 3 months, 9 days to wait for a reply from their customer service

If everything goes fine with your order then Misco is a good company to order from, but if you have problems, their administrative systems are weak and slow. If you're considering ordering from them – then I'd suggest go elsewhere as you'll save yourself a lot of time and frustration.

I waited 3 months for a refund to my card and 9 days for a reply to an email – very disappointed, they used to be so much better

Timewasters - AVOID

Bought a Tier 1 - 100% refurb laptop 25 Jan 2015 from Misco.
Received 2 days later.
Wifi didn't work
Lid didn't engage in the catch
Bottom plate fell off

I returned it for a REFUND (they had no similar replacement)
They sent it back to me a week later!! Had to be the same one as they had no similar when I called them to return it.
I complained to customer service again.
They said send it back again for a refund (it's obviously in the script). I protested that it was their balls up so why must I wait for the refund. Intransigence prevailed and there would be no refund until they got it back AGAIN! I asked for a supervisor to come to the phone after 2 occasions the rep had put me on hold for 10 minutes to consult his oracle. Nobody else would talk to me!
For the second return - they sent the parcel force guy to the wrong address. 200 yards away! Fortunately he remembered my name from the previous visit and came round!

You could not make this up. Meanwhile I must pay for it (credit card due today).

I already bought elsewhere after the first duffer was returned. Couldn't trust Misco after sending me a rubbish laptop. So much for it being checked. I wonder - do they use chimps for tier 1 refurbs’?

Refund eventually received on my card 13th February. Some 15 days after they received the defective returned laptop.

AVOID! Refund took Weeks and Chasing, Second item, second chance, Not Delivered.

Ordered an item which was rejected and sent back to them as a wrong part. Asked for a refund... They said I'd get it once they received the item back. Fair. The next day, they had the item, it was in their system but someone in their depot office had to sign the credit note before the 2 days to release funds then 3 working days transfer took place... Well calls and emails over days and days for a 3 figure sum of money (I am a small business, I take a hit) turned into weeks and weeks with every day them sayig they can't release the funds until someone signs the note, even though they can see I returned the item on time.
I had a second order, which I knew was taking it's time due to special order. However, I was in the office all day on both days Parcelforce had seemingly attempted delivery? No way, and no delivery note to say I missed it if I had been in the back etc. They didn't tell me about it either and only with chasing up about the mysterious part did someone say that, it was delivered back to the and I should apply to refund. Here we go, another line of calls and emails chasing a refund again.

Dreadfull service, a waste of time for companies in a working day spending 30 minutes a day on the phone and then writing complaint emails.

Liars

Last time i ordered i got an email 7 days later saying the product ( a pc) wasnt available, i Phoned before ordering this time and was told one to two days delivery, I ordered and paid and just got an email and guess what, the product is not available, do i want an alternative, no i want my money back and in future will deal with a company that dosent lie to me to get my money

They dont seem to know the consumer rights act

bought a tv, arrived damaged, they told me to contact manufacture. Advised the girl on the phone that my contract was with them but she wasnt having it. Wish id seen the online reviews before buying. Ended up getting the bank involved to get money back. Bad company dont use!

How does this company survive? Avoid at all costs.

I placed an order online, all 3 items in stock and available on 3 day delivery. I requested all items to be delivered together.
Surprised when I received one of the lower cost items with the full delivery charge applied. Then received a second delivery of item 2.
Then an email saying item 3, the main item was delayed, then days later another email saying that the item was no longer available. As requested I spoke to their customer service representitive and selected an alternative item and was quoted a price. When I then tried to place the order their sales department would not honour the price, they also wanted me to pay for shipping again. Have found item at a better price and free deliver elsewhere.
How does this company survive? Avoid at all costs.
