Was given good advice, relating to cleaning down clothing. I have 3 items now as good as new.

Harry gave us some great advice for waterproofing our car tent, he was so polite and helpful. Harry is a credit to Millets Hastings being very knowledgeable. Excellent customer service.

Phil was so helpful and gave me lots of his time to make sure I was completely happy with my purchase. I hike and scramble a lot so wanted to find the right boot that could give the most out of my adventures. We landed on the Slamon Quest black boots, and I’m very happy and grateful, thanks Phil!

Phil was very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Right before closing he went out of his way to make sure that I way well prepared for a Stations of the Cross walk that same day, thanks to him I completed it without a hitch!

Recently bought a pair of hiking boots at their Hastings store and was assisted by Harry. He was brilliant, not only knew his stuff but also chatted to me about walking trips he'd been on, engaged with me about other products I was considering buying later down the line. And listening to natter about my Hadrian's wall trip. Made my visit extremely pleasant and helpful, he's a real asset to their team.

Today I went to Millets in Hastings wanting a new pair of walking shoes. I was served by Phil who was very helpful. I tried a couple of pairs before we started talking about what would most likely fit comfortably and be suitable for my feet. I have had many brands and styles in the past and he was certainly knowledgeable and helped me find a pair that really work. It is rare these days to get such a level of service and although I probably spent more than I was originally intending I left feeling it was worth it.

I was looking for hiking shoes and Harry (Hastings store) was very helpful, polite and patient. I was able to find what I was looking for.

Lucy was very helpful and handled my complaint professionally and efficiently. She restored my faith in millets customer service.

Harry was extremely helpful and gave some excellent advice regarding the footwear I was choosing and then bought!

My daughter and I are preparing to walk the Cotswolds Way next month, and so
I was very keen to get some walking boots for my daughter that will be comfy and practical. We received a very friendly welcome in the shop, and Phil measured my daughter's feet and gave us a few different options to choose from, explaining the pros / cons of each. Phil was very knowledgeable and gave practical advice on all aspects of hiking, boot care, best socks and coats. I'm certain he would have good advice on any walking question! I needed a new pair of walking trousers and my husband having previously had good service from Phil, decided to give the shop a try for myself. Sophie assisted me with my purchase and was friendly and helpful. She was happy for me to try on several pairs of trousers until I found the ones for me. I will certainly recommend this shop for customer service.

I went to Millets in Hastings looking for a light weight alternative to trainers for traveling about on a holiday to New Zealand.
I was assisted by Phil who really seemed to know his stuff when it came to walking boots. He said he could see my current pair of boots, whilst well worn, showed signs of being a bit small on one foot. He asked to measure them and sure enough I found out I was one size different between feet. He helped me select a new pair of boots that fitted both my requirements and my feet whilst explaining the various alternatives available to me.
I found Phil easy to talk, courteous and helpful. I ultimately bought the Peter Storm boots he recommended and I have no complaints. I would go back again if I required another pair.

Great service - thank you Phil. I returned something bought online and Phil helped me find the perfect replacement in the shop.

I was served by Phil and what a credit he is to this company. From the simplicity of buying socks for walking to the more involved purchase of walking boots, Phil was as knowledgeable as they come. Old style measuring of feet, feeling foot inside boot to walking on ramp to monitor foot movement, all resulted in
perfectly fitting walking boots. If all customers get the same treatment there are a lot of happy feet in the Hastings area.

I went into Millets looking for a rucksack for travelling and was guided by the incredibly knowledgeable Phil! I was shown the proper fitting techniques and Phil was kind enough to share some tips and tricks for travelling. I left with a nice new bag :-)
