M&P fitted 11 windows for us 18months ago. A few weeks back I noticed a screw was missing from one of the handles - you only see it when the handle is opened and this window isn’t used much. It was never fitted as the frame hasn’t evidence of any screw hole.

I emailed Andy. Twice. Simply asking if he would be able to source one of these screws (monkey tail posh handles). No reply. Not even a ‘sorry mate, we don’t carry them as a stock item’.

No reply from their contact us email either.

I should have known this might happen when, a few weeks after the windows were fitted, we got a letter through from a 3rd party insurer transferring aftercare risk from M&P to the insurer.

Bang em in, move on.

I’ve given a three as broadly speaking the fitters did a good job.

So, Andy, for want of some after sale care, a follow up £15k contract is now going to your competitor.

Just had M&P quote and install 2 new doors, a window and upgrade all facias, soffits and gutterings. Had 3 local quotes and M&P were by far the most reasonable. The team doing the work were amazing. Excellent communication and work ethic and also dog friendly. They were recommended by Darwin Glass & Glazing who installed our dog flap into a double glazed door for us and we are so glad as we had never heard of M&P before even though we've lived in the areas for years. Anyway. Get Matthews & Peart to quote. You wont regret it.
Update: after having rain for the 1st time, one of the elbow gutters appears to be leaking. Emailled Andrew at M&P with a short video showing issue and within 2 hours our original fitter attended and fixed the issue. Amazing after sales service.

We have had windows and doors fitted by Mathews & Peart over the years, and we have never been disappointed. They recently fitted a patio door for us, two weeks after Peter came around to measure up. The product, service, and workmanship are of the highest quality. Highly recommended.

I requested some replacement glazing and everything went smoothly, excluding two windows which had the incorrect size replacement glazing brought for them. I was promised these would follow up in the coming weeks, and despite emailing and calling many many times over a six month period, I have given up with asking Matthews and Peart to come back and finish the job. I'm sure the quality of the work is perfectly fine, but Matthews and Peart have serious issues with their communication.

Someone came to my house in order to give me a quote for a new conservatory,they said it would take 3-4 days,I've waited 3 weeks and counting,rang three times and heard nothing, shocking and unprofessional.

We followed a recommendation to use M&P and were not disappointed, we received a prompt quote which was priced excellently. The work was booked in and when delivered the fitters were very efficient, tidy and completed on the day. Our old windows were taken away and we are very pleased with the new ones.

Exceeded my expectations
Excellent service from a friendly and professional team. Everything was properly explained and all of my questions were answered during the initial visits for the estimate and measuring-up, so I understood exactly what I was paying for and how the work would be carried out. I almost got scammed by some cowboys who offered to do the work last year so it was reassuring to know that this time I was doing business with an established and reputable local firm.
Considering that I was having a new set of bay windows, a new front door with flanking windows and two new first floor windows as well I was a bit surprised when only two fitters arrived to do the job, but Lee and Ryan got straight to work and I was astonished at the speed with which everything progressed. Apart from being cheerful and professional they created a lot less noise and disturbance than I would have thought possible, and when it was all over they left my house spotlessly clean. I am extremely pleased with the end result, my new windows and front door look very smart and the attention to detail is impressive. Money well spent, I would not hesitate to use Matthews & Peart again.

Got a quote for new conservatory doors with low freshhold. Two weeks later new doors installed. Workmen did a great job and clean and tidy and respectful.

Appalling after sales service.
Gave a good price and fitting service but needed some trickle vents fitting.
It’s nearly 3 years now and they kept coming up with excuses.
We were willing to pay the going rate but they didn’t want to know.
Be very wary.

We have used Matthew's and Pratt for several things in last few months... Windows, French doors and new front door. We have received excellent service throught. The products and fitters have been outstanding. Prices are extremely competitive. The fitters are polite and clean up after the work. Highly recommend this company.

Matthews and Peart put a French window in our living room (where there was previously a window) last year. They did a brilliant job at a very competitive price, so we were pleased to have them quote for the addition of a 4mx3m conservatory on a concrete base with a 'dwarf' wall. The quote encompassed some elements that other companies hadn't considered.

The work was done on time (in fact finished three days early) and on budget (very reasonable price). The workmanship is top notch. We are very happy with the whole process.

We are really very pleased with the service we have received from this company and delighted with the finished results.

Quotations were completed within the stated timeframes and the two man team who fitted a variety of windows and doors to a converted industrial building for us have done an exceptional job.

Gent came out to respond to my request for a quote to supply and fit patio doors and replace an existing back door with a window on 12 July. Have chased twice since and promised a response and still no sign of quote. All very disappointing as used the company about 5 years ago and received excellent service then - hence my return business. They are using Covid as a reason but all I am asking for is a quote at this point in time and they have already been out to measure up! I am inclined to believe that Covid is being used as an excuse for poor service.
Will be looking elsewhere in future.

Thank you for your speedy reply - it is a shame the quote response was not as efficient and might I remind you that I am not the one offering the poor service.

I do appreciate the current climate is difficult for businesses. However, I also expect businesses I am offering my custom to to stick to their word and not for me to have to keep chasing them. It is a simple customer service issue - all you have to do is be honest with your customers and keep them updated. I would have been happy to wait if I was advised what was going on and not left hanging.

Matthews & Peart just completed an 8 day project to replace all our very old double glazing units ( with high quality plastic flush-style glazing units, plus two new doors, and a new conservatory , on our old conservatory's base. The team also dismantled the old conservatory.

We are hugely impressed with the results - carried out by two utterly tireless , very cheerful, Matthews & Peart craftsmen installers - during a searingly hot heat wave it has to be said. The house looks transformed, and we consider the total cost of this extensive project to have been very reasonable. I highly recommend this Shrewsbury company to anyone seeking double glazing or a conservatory.

From start to finish the service has been exemplary! Conservatory ultraframe solid roof put on and delighted with both the standard of finish but also the level of communication throughput the process. The workforce were polite, hard working and efficient. Queries were addressed promptly and efficiently.
