We purchased a piano (Yamaha U3) for our son and the entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. The piano itself is stunning and in immaculate condition. It’s gorgeous, rich tone brings so much life into our home. Mark and his team were just as remarkable. They were knowledgeable, patient and genuinely passionate about helping us find the right piano without any high-pressure sales tactics. Everything from selection to delivery was handled with absolute professionalism and care.

It is over 6 years since I bought my Yamaha piano from Mark Goodwin. They were exceptionally helpful at the time of purchase and extremely fair with the price.
I only play for my own pleasure but since then, every professional who has tuned or played my piano never fails to remark what an exceptional instrument it is.

We had a fantastic experience buying a Yamaha from them, from the pre-sale where they happily(?) let us crash about on all the pianos in their Battersea showroom through to all the support after the sale.

A good price, communication was great throughout, delivery seamless, the free stool and first tuning a nice bonus, and they've been so helpful providing lots of information and contacts.

Mark and the Manchester team found a good home for our Yamaha C3 grand exactly as promised after displaying it online for some months and on the guaranteed terms stated when the piano was collected. My gut feeling was that it was a good choice opting for a proven Yamaha specialist with a keen interest in the history of the instrument. Not least as parting with a fine piano for serious musos is a big thing!

Mark was incredibly helpful when we purchased our U3 premium model. We took multiple visits to the showroom to pick the perfect piano and could not have been happier with it. Looks and plays as a new piano. Mark was able to fit a soft close to the lid for us. This is the third U3 our family have bought from him. My mum who is a piano teacher first bought hers in 2010. Would highly recommend going to play them.

Communication delayed to like 2 weeks at a time. Every step of the way had to nudge.
Moving service is a separate company so not gonna review it here.
Whatever is stated on the page- simply is not the truth.
Piano itself is not playable let alone sold as a “premium”..

Final thoughts- returned for a refund.
Waste of time.
Pianos that are listed for 5k in UK, are sold for £80-280 in Japan.. They are total waste while we are sold the nicely dressed idea of recycling Japan’s landfill.

Mark and his team were very helpful in the choice and purchasing of our U1 just over 4 years ago (a 40th birthday present for my wife). The piano has been pleasure to own and have the kids learn on. I would thoroughly recommend Mark Goodwin pianos (which was recommended to me by a friend who knows their stuff about pianos). We have never had any issues with it and are very happy with the AdSilent system that the team fitted to the piano which allows for late night practice!

We were initially a little nervous about spending this amount on a piano from a retailer we hadn’t used before, but Mark and the team were excellent throughout. They kept us informed at every stage, communicated clearly, and the piano was eventually delivered and tuned for the first time completely free of charge.

A few months later, we had a minor technical issue with a couple of spots on the piano. This was dealt with immediately and they sent us the appropriate Brasso metal paint to resolve it, which was a very simple and effective solution.

A year and a half on, we’re genuinely very happy with both the piano and the service we received. My daughter has since completed Grade 8 piano with Distinction, and my son is now working towards Grade 7.

Lovely sound from my reconditioned, looking like new upright: a joy to play, even though I have my 'own version' of tempo and notes for the pieces I muddle through. Mark, the delivery team and tuners have been responsive, accommodating and cheerful.

I wanted a nice piano in order to get the grandchildren off their screens when they visited. Mark and his wife suggested three and with their help I settled on a beautiful Yamaha within budget. This was carefully delivered by two charming men, set up and later tuned as promised. All so easy. I should add that the grandchildren love it - and play it a lot for their piano exams and just for pleasure. Thank you.

Rented a U1 nearly a year ago that I've now bought, with a trade-in piano they took off me which was very easy to sort out. Very happy with the piano and its condition (50yo reconditioned) looks almost new! Great team and easy to get in contact with. Will be back when I want to upgrade.

It is well over a year since I bought a Yamaha U3 Piano from Mark and play it daily. The tone and tune are still excellent and what made it my choice. Mark has kept in touch right from the purchase and even sent a gift when one of my family bought a Yamaha U1.
