Loblaws sale prices mean you have to select rotten produce to balance good ones

I am a long time customer of Fortino's but recently moved to Port Credit where there was only a Loblaws. Considering it belonged to the same chain, I assumed customer service would also be at its best---WRONG. I went in for my regular , almost daily, visit and I was so pleased when I saw that the grapes were half price. I buy them by the pound a few times a week since my adult kids love them. As usual , I grabbed a couple of bags and removed all the rotten ones adding into the bag some nice looking bunches. As I did this, a member of the produce team stood a few feet away (literally) and watched me. I asked him if he needed to get in there assuming he may be replenishing the stock. He responded "no" and continued to stand there. I felt uneasy so I quickly finished selecting my grapes and he said " your grapes are full price". I responded with "but all the bags say 50% off". He said, "yes, they are 50% off but since you picked only good grapes and removed the rotten ones, yours will be full price." I was disgusted, so I put my bag down and left. In essence what he was saying was that I had to buy bad grapes to balance out any good produce that was chosen. I would understand if the packages were the sealed ones on the discount racks but they weren't. This begs the question if the same rule applies when I select tomatoes or apples on sale. Do I have to gather some rotten ones in order to get the sale price?
One cannot blame this on inexperience. Both the employee and myself are seniors---so both have quite a few years of experience. Maybe he was the produce manager. I don't know but if he was , then he is even more pathetic than I thought.
Needless to say, I will be going down the street to Metro to do my shopping from now on.

Loblaws Neglect to loyal senior customer

More like zero.

💔 Loblaws’ Neglect: A Senior’s Injury, A Company’s Silence 💔
Over a month and a half ago, my senior mother suffered a serious injury from a Loblaws product—a pizza she purchased and trusted. Hidden inside was a foreign object, a rivet or screw, which she unknowingly bit into. The result? Severe dental damage, thousands of dollars in corrective procedures, and immense pain and stress.
Since then, Loblaws has done nothing. Despite repeated store visits, emails, and requests for accountability, they have ignored my mother’s concerns—a customer who has shopped with them for years. Instead of addressing the issue, they’ve gaslighted her, making her feel like this was somehow her problem instead of taking responsibility for the dangerous product they sold.
🔹 Loblaws refused to help and attempted to shift blame to their German supplier, who also took zero accountability.
🔹 A legal firm reviewed the case but wouldn’t take it—not because it lacks merit, but because it "isn’t a money maker." So where does that leave everyday customers like us? Suffering, unheard, and dismissed.
🔹 Loblaws claims to value customers, yet when my mother was injured due to their negligence, they turned their back on her.
Accidents happen—but how a company chooses to respond defines them. Right now, Loblaws is showing us that they do not care about their customers, especially seniors.
If this has happened to you or someone you know, please comment or reach out. No one should be left fighting alone when a major corporation refuses to take responsibility.
📢 Customers deserve better. Seniors deserve better. Loblaws, do better.

We went shopping at loblaws

We went shopping at loblaws, Lindsay ON this morning and we could not find a price on an item we wished to purchase and we kindly asked the cashier to check the price, she told us very rudely we could check it ourselves. Meanwhile we tried to find a price and could not. We will never go through this cashier again. She was awful. I guess we put her to work when she was more interested in talking to her friend. Management needs to talk to their staff about how they speak to people.

The biggest complaint I have ever had in Canada against a pharmacy.

I would like to file the biggest complaint I have ever had in Canada against a pharmacy.
Loblaws Pharmacy was transferring its prescription system. We all know this is no secret. Companies are always looking to cut costs choosing the cheapest, but also the worst options.
Now, many people depend on medication like me included. I have been taking antidepressants for many years as well as high blood pressure medicine. I have a pacemaker, so it is crucial to take them. Due to this system migration, everything was delayed.
We do not need to be a pharmacist or a doctor to know the effects and consequences in cutting these types of medications for over 72 hours, and the only answer from the Pharmacy is sorry for the inconvenience. An inconvenience is when a credit card system goes down or when there is no gas at a gas station. This is way beyond an inconvenience. This could be life threatening for someone rely on antidepressants or something else.
I addition as we all know, the Canadian health system is collapsing, and it is easier to win the lottery than having access to a doctor, so I couldn’t move my prescription to another Pharmacy. It has been over 72 hours and no medicines yet. It is soooo frustrating how big corporations just do not care about anything other than “MONEY”

Loblaws says there PC Brand is Canadian Made in Canada? Not true. I am checking food items and things as simple a oil sprays are made in the USA. This is ridiculous as they can easily source that item that is made in Canada

Loblaws Pot Promo Scam

Finally collected enough stamps and there are no pots or pans and they are not giving out more stamps even though the promo is still supposed to be running. Loblaws is such a horrible company. So greedy and such liars. Weston is one of the richest men/families in Canada and it is solely because of their constant price gouging, shrink flation, scam like promotions and general lying to customers. How do they sleep at night? Maybe they are sociopaths.. they certainly act like them

Loblaws blew it with the Swiss pots promotion

I have been trying to get these pots for ages, first I wanted the wok, it was sold out in no time, then I decided to get the 3 pots, they too have been sold out, everytime I went to my Loblaws… oh I you just missed the delivery. It seems you had to camp out at loblaws to get these. A very demotivating promotion.. I will certainly reconsider my shopping decisions going forward.

Seriously disappointed with Loblaws

Seriously disappointed with corporation. Great marketing idea - cookware at a discount if you spend $20 or more in one visit equalled I stamp. Get 20 you can get reduced cookware. Now we have completed our end of the program with full booklets to find out Loblaws has no cookware to buy. Obviously they had no intent of satisfying our demand as I have met no one who was able to capitalise on program. Shame on them - will never ever fall prey of any other marketing scheme of theirs again as I sit with 4 full 20 booklets to buy cookware at a discount. Once bitten twice shy - shame on Loblaws - you owe everyone who participated with faith that you would fulfil your end of the bargain

Loblaws botched Pots & Pans Promo

Sat. Jan. 25/25. So now today, while I'm checking out my items & asking for "stamps" due me according to the "rules" for the latest fiasco marketing scheme from Loblaws (pots & pans with a terrible supply issue)...I'm told that the store is no longer giving out stamps. WTF?? I am shown a sign stating that, as of Jan. 24/25 (yesterday), there are no longer any stamps being given out. This promo was advertised to finish Feb. 20th and already, a month early, Loblaws decides without warning, to stop giving out any stamps. I have an almost completed card now that I cannot redeem (i.e. with one stamp for every $20.00 of Loblaws merchandise) & I have on my
card $320.00 worth that I have already spent (needing $400.00 to complete the card or another 4 stamps, which I could have obtained today). This whole Loblaws marketing scheme with these "Swiss designed/made in China" pots & pans that were not delivered as promised, has been a badly botched Loblaws promo. I am saying this to you Loblaws: I will never ever take any part in ANY more of your "promos" or ANY marketing schemes. Trust is gone. Loblaws Marketing Execs. should be given pink slips!

Their promotion to collect stamps for a…

Their promotion to collect stamps for a reduced purchase price is not working. I as have many others have been waiting for many weeks to purchase items only to be told that there is a limited supply and it will be a first come first served if any arrive at a store. Not good enough. It is like a lottery without an outcome. Then the stores are frustrated with complaints without an avenue of resolution.

DO ONE AT LOBLAWS REALLY GIVES A DAMN…

DO ONE AT LOBLAWS REALLY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS. THIS ATTITUDE ALWAYS COMES FROM THE TOP AND FILTERS DOWN. TO THE WESTIN FAMILY. WE ALL KNOW YOU ARE RICH AND POWERFUL, BUT PERHAPS YOU COULD BE FAIR WITH YOUR PRICING, YOUR POLICIES AND YOUR ATTITUDES REGARDING CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS. YOUR NO RETURN POLICIES REGARDING PRODUCTS THAT GO BAD IN A MATTER OF DAYS IS OUTDATED IN TODAYS SOCIETY. YOUR LABELLING OF PRODUCTS SHOULD IDENTIFY THEM AS BEING YOURS WITHOUT HAVING TO KEEP ALL RECEIPTS FOR 30 DAYS. WHO DOES THIS? I ESTIMATE I SPEND AROUND THE $400 LEVEL PER WEEK AT YOUR STORES WHICH AMOUNTS TO $20,800 PER YEAR OF MY NET MONEY. OVER A 20 YEAR PERIOD THAT WOULD EQUATE TO $416,000.00 IN SALES. YOU HAVE LOST ALL MY BUSINESS FOR A $6.00 ITEM THAT YOU WOULD NOT REPLACE. GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE AND GOOD LUCK. BUT ONCE AGAIN YOU ARE SO RICH, YOU REALLY DON'T CARE, DO YOU!

Loblaws promotion for Swiss Cookware

Recently Loblaws put on a Swiss cookware program. You have to spend $400.00 to get a reduced price on one of the pots, pans or Wok. Of course Loblaws companies should have the inventory to back up the promotion but they do not. I have been trying to get the Wok ever since the promotion began but no one in my area has the Wok. The staff at the stores say they only get a few woks at a time and they are usually gone right away. If you are going to put on a promotion then have the inventory to back it up. People spend a lot of money to get the promotion. Get it together Loblaws. Quit misleading people.

Went to the one @Yonge at an Old Yonge It was ridiculously expensive and on top of paying $200 for 18items the clerk (Kamala) rang thro to many of one item an when I tried to tell her shw was EXTREMELY rude. She would not listen to me. There was a line behind me so I allowed her to over charge me. Then I went to customer service an she was there. I explained the same thing I was telling her while she was doing it an she told me I had to go to the other aide of the store to get another can. I said are kidding me? You screwed up an you want me to run around?? She finally gave me back the money but never once apologized me was just constantly RUDE!!!

Plastic in sausage

Ipurchased sausages from no frills in north battleford saskatchewan a weeks ago.
We all ate the sausages, and everyone else's sausage was ok. But on my second last bite I felt a sharp object at roof of my mouth, I spit it out and felt hard plastic. It had sharp edges and it was right inside the sausage, so I washed sausage off of it. It a white sharp edged white plastic.
