Have been trying to transfer from…
Have been trying to transfer from lifesight to another reputable pension provider.
Three months later and many forms later, not a snipping of light at the end of the tunnel.
As a differed member of an occupational pension scheme I am unable to provide a long list of information from 21 years ago.
God give me strength, going to pull the lot and take the hit on tax.
Have to be the most awkward, controlling pension provider one could ever wish to meet.
AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a small pension with WTW from an old job that I want to consolidate with my other pension. No one answers the phone, you have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back, they do not call back within the ample timescales which they themselves set, they only responded to one of my numerous chaser emails. I cannot log in to see my pension on their antiquated online portal as I do not have a security question, I have to email another team who then refer me to an original team. You have to remember to include your security information in every email you send. Their systems are all absolutely terrible, I still haven't been able to start the pension transfer process a week after starting. Utterly useless company.
Why there is no 0 stars?? 1 is too generous for this firm.
Why there is no 0 stars??? I feel leaving one star is way too generous for this company.
I’ve requested a transfer almost 5 months ago because this company is way too expensive with suboptimal performance and absolutely terrible website - I struggle to find anything I need about my investment. I found much cheaper and more technologically advanced provider and decided to move.
Despite endless chasing, and literally supervising my own transfer, I’m still nowhere close to moving my money. They keep coming up with documentation requests, telling me each time that this is the last set of papers they need. And then after weeks of silence I chase them and find out that they need yet another document, and then another…it’s been almost 6 months now and I just got a letter from them asking for ANOTHER document.
The most frustrating part is, that in this advanced age of electronic communication, they still only accept documents by post! The number of times I had to go to the post office just to print and post a piece of another paper is ridiculous.
I can’t decide whether they are so incompetent that they have no idea what they are doing, or they are doing this on purpose so they can deter people from moving, or/and at least try to keep their money for longer. It requires A LOT of determination and time to get out.
After months of frustrating communication, I sent them an email requesting to raise official complaint and, guess what, NOBODY even bothered to acknowledge it. I will be reporting this Firm to FOS, this treatment of their clients is absolutely unacceptable.
If your Employer signs you up for this Pension provider, try to object if you can and find another one. You’ll save yourself a lot of pain down the line.
Shocking Level of Service
Every negative comment shared is justified, it is no coincidence. Despite many phone calls I too have waited months for MY pension money. How can a company operate like this? Hanging on to peoples hard earned cash longer than they should. Is this a deliberate tactic??
It's a 3 from me
I can only rate them as a 3 star, and that is mainly in relation to my Vodafone pension which I would have given 5 star.
The fiasco with my Schlumberger pension, which is my smallest and oldest has so far taken over 6 months due to their slow processes, twice the forms as they have split an already small pension in to two parts, one so small that my annuity providor can't take it on. Why split and leave something so small ?
Shocking service and complete lack of…
Shocking service and complete lack of empathy. Due to ill health I was advised to take my pension early, I was told to provide evidence which of course I did by my specialist, I returned this within 2 days and was told the process would take 7-10 days. After 10 days I was asked for more information, one item which showed they hadn’t a clue, but nevertheless I sent it in immediately. 7 weeks later I’m still no further and I call them twice a day. Each call someone is blamed, I am told it’s with the admin team or trustees but apparently I can’t speak to them and despite requests they don’t call. I have asked for a manager to call me and have been completely refused and I’ve also asked for all calls and web chat transcripts, nothing. I’ve lodged official complaints and been ignored. Each time I was asked for something I responded instantly and even paid for information to be sent to them urgently. Each time I sent something in it took 2/3 days to be looked at, they asked for one document 3 times. I handed in my noticed but cannot realistically afford to retire without the money (my own money) I am unsure if I should revoke my resignation which will probably be refused due to my health. Each time I speak to someone I am promised that they will chase up and escalate. I am at a total loss to know where the go. They literally have my life in their hands and all I get is a patronising advisors telling me that they completely understand! Whilst I appreciate it isn’t their fault, nobody cares or understands and this stress is exasperating my symptoms.
They are literally ruining what’s left of my life and it’s not even a big pension.
A company operating woefully out of its depth
This company is quite frankly appalling at delivering an acceptable level of customer service. I had five pension pots I wanted to consolidate into a scheme with a different provider, all but the pot with Lifesight / Willis Towers Watson were successfully transferred weeks ago. I have had to chase Lifesight / Willis Towers Watson at every point in their process. At one stage they were claiming that they were still awaiting documentation from the new scheme provider and despite me providing evidence that Lifesight / Willis Towers Watson had signed for delivery of the documents two and a half weeks earlier I received no apology and following several requests to have the transfer expedited due to their previous errors I have see NO EVIDENCE of any change in their default level of service which is VERY SLOW to say the least.
They constantly come up with additional requests to slow down the process even further so they are either massively understaffed or this poor service is delivered by design so that they can cling on to their clients money for longer.
I shall be reporting this company to the trustees of the pension scheme and the Pensions ombudsman, with this poor level of service they have zero legitimacy to be in business.
My advice to anyone who has any pension pot with them is to move it immediately or well in advance (several months) of when you need it.
Useless
Useless, told me I could take my whole pension pot then decided I couldn't and even told me that HMRC were wrong saying I could take all of my pension and was £2000 less than what my pension was when I applied.
I cannot stress enough if you have a pension with company, then get it transferred.
Definitely something not right with this company 👎👎👎👎👎
LifeSight admit they owe me £2000…
LifeSight admit they owe me £2000 because of their error. I confirmed my bank details 3 weeks ago but no money has arrived.
Today I checked my balance and I’ve lost £20,000!
Just dreadful.
Do NOT use this company!
It feels fraudulent activity to me...
Try getting your money out of Willis Towers Watson and they make it very very difficult to do. Good luck.
Possible SCAM COMPANY
Nothing short of horrendous company. I've been trying to take 25% tax free lump sum & it's been over 2 months & still not received a single penny.
They keep giving me excuse after excuse & I've now come to the conclusion this is infact a SCAM company that have no intention of paying me a penny of my 15 years contributes. The Ombudsmen & HMRC have been pretty useless so far so it's looking like becoming a Police matter. I've got the feeling this Company have stolen my pension pot.
They only contact me with automatic generated emails & although them seem okay on the phone they never call back when they say they will. Avoid this Company like the plague !
Appalling
These people are so bad that I have asked to speak to the trustees of my scheme, so far this been refused.
They fail to answer simple questions and refuse to allow me to contact for the trustees.
The sad thing is there is nothing we can do. Any ideas??
I have left 1 star,as I cant leave any…
I have left 1 star,as I cant leave any less.
Finally after chasing them for the last 3 weeks,I had a phone call today, because I left a bad review yesterday.they promised a call back today.but didn't call.
I sent my Birth Cert in (special delivery) and have proof its been received, but they cant find it,so I now have to get a new one, which I have to pay for,and when i send it they will prob loose that one as well.
I'm giving them till the end of tomorrow, then I'm going to the financial ombudsman, cant believe Lloyds bank sold my pension to such a useless company.
I will be looking into moving my pension elsewhere if that's possible,
Less than 1 star review!
I’m not even sure I want to give them 1 star. I’ve called 9 times and spoken to 5 different people and still unable to reset my password.
Their system is shamefully inadequate and I would say any companies thinking of using this company for their employees think again. A diabolical service and what is more they ignore you when requesting an escalation of the complaint .
What a Joke of a pension provider!
What a Joke of a pension provider!
Sadly my review is like the other 99% of reviews on here
I was unfortunately transferred to them by my workplace
I have been trying to transfer my pension from them to another provider and given the typical run around
I have probably made in excess of over 50 phone calls now and every time I call, you get a different answers depending on who you talk to
They always tell you they cannot deal with your issue and it needs to be done by the admin department, You will have to wait up to 5 days and someone will contact you back and they never do
I am still no further to know whats going on
I wouldn't trust them to run a bath let alone anyone's finances
I feel the whole system is purposely setup to make thing difficult for you
This company needs to be investigated. Their practices are on borderline illegal
I have made a official complaint via email as they do not conveniently have a complaints department
I do not expect a response
I have now taken Legal Advise and looking into taking Legal Action against this company
Absolute rubbish administrator ..I’ve…
Absolute rubbish administrator ..I’ve been waiting for a response to a complaint since beginning of year and all I’m getting are excuses as to why they didn’t pay out my pension as to what the statement said.
Responses to emails take several weeks even tho when sent auto reply says response will be within a couple of days …best thing anyone can do is transfer their pension out especially if a Lifesight pension /IPSL
absolutely one of the poorest systems…
absolutely one of the poorest systems out there. EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it, it fails to recognise either my user ID, or, if it recognises that, it fails to recognise my password, and the "forgot your password" link doesn't work either. I now have two legacy pensions on there, and I'm going to have to transfer them since the system is so appalling and the "help centre" is also atrocious, taking DAYS to get any action, and then requiring you to confirm information you included in your request (because you knew they'd ask for it). Useless.
Been poor for a long time despite feedback
The WTWCo LifeSight UK product is average at best. The service is sadly very deficient and the investment performance is achingly bad (even allowing for the poor returns in the general investment markets).
Trustpilot shows poor reviews for LifeSight and WTW (mostly relating to LifeSight) over the past few years. I have seen no improvement in the product or the service.
The most terrible customer service I have ever experienced.
Adding to the list of growing complaints from unhappy clients. Following months of appalling customer service. I have yet to receive a response from Will Lester at WTT. Will contacted me at the end of August following my less than glowing report of WTT promising to look into my complaint. So far nothing..... Worst still is I am now receiving blanket emails asking for customer feedback with the promise of a £50 M&S voucher! If I was CEO of this organisation I would be seriously worried but clearly WTT pride themselves on poor service. If anyone is considering moving any pension funds here, don't you will regret it. My 25% pension drawdown fund request took some 8 months to receive resulting in a loss of around 20% of the fund by the time payment was received due to falling markets.
