Very poor experience – twice
A year ago I ordered heating oil from LCC. Just a few days later my boiler broke down. When the boiler service engineer checked the tank, he drained around 90 litres of water from it. This also caused damage to the burner.
I contacted LCC immediately, but they refused any responsibility and claimed it must have been condensation. 90 litres of condensation is simply not realistic. They also said no other customers had complained. However, if I was the first delivery from the tanker, it’s obvious that water (being heavier than kerosene) would settle at the bottom of the tanker and be delivered first.
Despite this bad experience, a few weeks ago I ordered from LCC again, having forgotten what happened last time. Unfortunately, exactly the same issue happened again. No heating, no hot water. The boiler engineer found about 3 inches of water sitting at the bottom of the oil tank, and the burner jet was damaged once more.
This shows a clear pattern, not a coincidence. On top of that, customer service was terrible and completely dismissive on both occasions.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering heating oil from LCC.
