We sadly had to have our cat put to sleep. The compassion showed by the staff at Park street was zero. From my initial call with the reception staff through to the consultation with the vet, there was a complete lack of caring. Insisting I pay there and then and placing the card machine next to my dead cat just shows what their priorities are. I’ve used this vets for over 20 years but never again.

Loving this vets been a puppy friendly practice and the staff going out of there way to make it a positive experience. Been bringing my dogs since they were puppies. Would recommend

Very poor service advertise they are OV )official vets) but do not comply with the requirements or required practice of the duty of an OV
Neither do they bother to facilitate the protection of international travel of pets
Spoke to a very condescending vet who gave alot of misinformation
Only provide what suits themselves and not the animal

Bullies, and scare mongering it's all about money. I had been with this vets for a lot of years and didn't have any problems until now. We took one of dogs in a couple of months ago for an abscess and she was given medication for her (which I pay for) . Unfortunately it came back so had to go back to the vets for same medication, but the vets said she can give me the medication for her again, but probably she will need an x-ray which will cost over £500 ( which I would have happy to pay for) then she will probably need to have teeth out which could cost up to £2000 plus , which I would have been happy to pay until she (the vet) said, but they is a risk the She may not survive the anaesthetic with her being an old dog, so I said I don't want her to have this done as I I didn't want her to lose her or put her at risk and could she just carry on having the medication She has been having which has been working, but no this vet was having none of it, and her response was well I have a duty of care and if you don't have this procedure done I will report you to rspc a for neglect I was in shock I said if I was neglecting her I would have never have brought her here in the first place, her words were am not judging you, but you need to go home and think about it. I've never neglected any of my dogs and never would they are our babies. So I said to her if you report me what would they do she said they would take her of me and they would have her put to sleep (and that's a vet duty of care for you) I was so upset I was in tears when I left , so either way she would have be at risk either not waking up from the anaesthetic or being put sleep if she reported me, the vet was awful they was no sympathy at all I came out of there in tears. She was threatening / bullying us into something we didn't want to do, I just couldn't believe what she was saying to us. We came home so upset. Luckily I know someone who works for rscpa and they wouldn't just put a dog down for that reason. And am now looking into reporting her. We are now in the process of changing vets. There don't even deserve 1 star in my opinion.

The staff are all very helpful Harry has always been looked after first class the staff are do caring Harry has beeb going there since he was 9 weeks old he is 8 now and i cant thank the staff anough for being so kind thank Claire Sue and everyone mrs jane Elvey

I’ve been with these for years; I used the same vet each time, so I never noticed how shocking the practice actually is. He has now retired, so I booked with another vet to be told I had to pay the full cost up front and then claim it back off my insurance. They would not do any investigation into my dog's lump unless I paid over £200. It cost me £31 just to be told they'd changed their policy. I didn’t even get a routine checkup for my £31. I’m appalled. I immediately registered with another vet, who is going to do the right checks and bill my insurance company when they have the results.

My dog maxi has just had a minor opp and the service was absolutely brilliant. The whole of the staff went above and beyond expectations. Thank u to Elaine and David for doing the procedure and an excellent job. Can't thank u enough !

about animals all it is money money find out your insured and let you animals suffer so they can get more money out of you I lost 2 dogs both age nine with in 5 weeks 😢 of each other even though they Knew how upset we both w54pas first words how big our bill was and wanted the money there and then there disgusting don't have a heart also I ask them for a blood test as my dog was loosing weight there refused because there said she needs to loose weight 3 weeks later she died of liver failure there make me sick to the stomach

Absolutely fuming. My poor elderly dog baxter baker( coming up to 16 yrs old) was traumatised coming into the vets always is. We arrived early. No one or their pets where in the waiting
room. at the usual Cottingham surgery. Yet it took the flirting nurse who was talking to a male member of staff, to finally call my dogs name after 20 minutes. He was then only in with the nurse a couple of minutes . I pay their vet yearly fee and I have pet insurance ( not with the 1 they recommend) she could see how traumatised he was the only good thing is for his age he's in good health. Definitely thinking of changing vets if that's how they look after our loving animals

Took my cat for his booster, the male vet grabbed him so hard and slammed him down on the metal table, I swear to god its a wonder he's still walking this vet , my cat is the most sweetest big cat , I walked out and I'd never ever advise anyone to take your cat let alone leave it there , he certainly does not like cats , mine was terrified, as for me iv never been so angry the words I said are not repeatable , I now go to pets at home vets and my cat loves the male vet ...
I'd rather walk 50 miles than go there ..

Terrible practice. All they're interested in is how much money they can get out of you. For example wanted to charge me 32 quid for 8 paracetamol tablets. Same thing at Asda 39p for 16. £800 for an ultrasound I was quoted. Refused to do a home visit to put my poorly doggy to sleep. Medivet at swanland came out, no problem. I find it quite incredible in this day and age the veterinary practices and pricing is not regulated. I would not use this practice again and unless your rich avoid at all costs.

These vets are just a rip off had to take my 11 year old pointer in having trouble with is back legs, it was his time but ended up on medication for 48 hours yes the pain has gone but still having trouble with balance and walking, bill £143 consultation £63 medication £80. Same medication from Amazon under £30. Profit before the welfare off animals all as they wanted was too do a lot off test

I have never had a company make me feel more sick to the stomach as this one!! Our 15yr old dog had atopic dermatitis for many years, was always managed absolutely fine no tablets, steroids etc, went for regular checkups due to pancreatitis, she was all well and even many times told how young she acts!! As the weather was changing i spoke to the vet about it and whether there was anything that could make her comfortable especially with her age. was told about Apoquel!! Biggest regret of my life trusting a ''PROFESSIONAL'' it was more expensive (how apparent) but with no side effects and was completely safe! So you explain to me how within 3 months of her being on this medication she suddenly developed incontinence was very lethargic and was not well at all. I immediately stopped the apoquel but unfortunately you had already caused the damage to our girl! YOUR VET EVEN STATED ON HER MEDICAL REPORT THAT APOQUEL COULD HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE!!!! but yet you denied that didn't you, despite the fact i have it in black and white!! You also knew she suffered with UTI's and when i researched it, that medication clearly states that it should NOT be administered to a dog with UTI's!!! Because of you, her kidneys failed and when i pleaded with the nurse if there was anything that could be done, she callously replied with 'well not unless you have a spare kidney' and what exactly did you respond with when i complained about that.... oh the nurse was trying to put it into context??!! So that's you excusing a staff members complete and utter arrogance and lack of any empathy. do you really expect me to believe it was in context?!! no it wasn't at all and you know that! You was quick to get the money though wasn't you, because that's all you're good for! Your response to my complaint was nothing more than a bunch of deflective, arrogant and despicable statements. I really hope you enjoyed putting that sick response together. This explains to me why so many vets have left your practice! I am currently seeking legal advice for this as YOU KILLED OUR GIRL AND I WILL NEVER EVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THAT! I hope pet owners see this and think twice before registering with you!

My dog had to go on to "Purina Proplan Veterinary Diets Hypoallergenic Food", as it was late Christmas eve, I didn't think anything of it, but try to get food in to the dog.
As in the title it says "Veterinary", so I presumed you could only buy from a vets.
After checking the food out I could buy same food and amount at a well named Pet Shop £31.50 CHEAPER.
I sent an email to the company and received the bog standard reply.
With Vets been so expensive, you try to save where you can and you would of thought that the practice would try to help as well

Very money-orientated business, rude staff with no compassion. Recently took our senior dog to the vets as he was vomiting constantly and was not his normal self. Anlaby vets suggested pancreatitis and asked us to visit Park street for hospital admission and IV fluids. Had only left my dog at park street an hour when we received a call from a vet we did not know, stating lots of medical jargon and numbers that did not make sense to us, finishing with suggesting putting our dog to sleep, making us call the vet back to explain properly what he had said. We made the very difficult decision to put our very sick dog to sleep later on that day as it was the kindest thing. When we arrived we were essentially ignored by staff and made to sit in front of about 6 other dog owners in the reception area, all of us very upset with other owners and staff staring at us, for over 20 minutes. The staff completely ignored us whilst knowing full well we were there to say goodbye. The cat waiting area around the corner we later discovered, was completely empty and the staff could have seated us there instead for privacy, had they actually cared about their customers, but they did not. When we were finally called into the room after waiting 20 minutes very distressed in a very busy public waiting room, 2 pre-filled vials of the euthanasia solution were carelessly left out on show on the counter which was upsetting for us to see. The vet then went to get our small and very sick dog, and brought him in under his arm struggling to carry him, almost dropping him before he put him on the examination table. As soon as our dog had been put to sleep we were told to leave the room and sit in the waiting room, in front of all other owners, all visibly distressed, whilst the vet removed our dogs cannula. Not sure why they had to do this in private and why this could not have been done with us in the room. The vet initially asked us to take our dog out the front door to our car to which we declined, and took him out the back, all the while the vet struggled to carry him, and mentioned when we will be billed upon putting our dog in the car. No empathy or compassion from any of the staff, the women at the reception desk completely ignored us crying in the waiting room for over 20 minutes whilst we waited, the vet we had briefly spoke to on the phone saw us and ignored us whilst he walked by numerous times and it was not even the same vet that euthanised our dog. Totally disappointed and angry with Kingston services, been with them almost 15 years and have never felt so angry and disgusted at the care of not only our animal but us as owners and human beings losing a family member.

The price they charge for their drugs is robbery. Just charge £10.73 for 1 pipette of flee treatment - 3 pack online is just over £15 delivered!...

Absolute joke. Customer service is shocking

Absolutely disgusting to charge a young person on a low income £70 to put a pet rat down. You should be ashamed of yourself - you are encouraging people to mistreat their animals.
