I purchased an item roughly 5 years ago…
I purchased an item roughly 5 years ago and it recently became faulty, it came with a 25 year guarantee. I contacted them and they asked for details and requested i sent a photo or video.
I did and to my surprise they promptly replaced the item. I can only say that their customer service is excellent and would recommend this company and its products to anyone.
Very pleased with my whatever pan
Very pleased with my whatever pan. I thought frying eggs would be a disaster, but the eggs just slid out of the pan.
I haven't received any unwanted spam as other people have. I would use the company again.
Sharing all of your personal information without permission
I have been plagued with phone calls from a holiday company trying to sell me a subscription to their service. They obtained my details from Jean Patrique due to me being “a premier customer” What is very worrying is this company that cold called me knew all of my personal details including address, phone number, email address, date of birth, along with knowing my order history with Jean Patrique (they quoted back to me what I had bought and when I had placed the order), along with knowing most of my payment details used to buy the products (asking if I would like to use my approved payment method which they quoted some of the numbers back to me to confirm). This has been raised with Jean Patrique and they claim to be looking into it but as of yet I have had no confirmation of what they are doing about this and what companies they have shared my details with. The phone calls started in January this year and sometimes they are up to 5 times a day. Please take care when using this company because they are sharing data against your permission and then not doing anything to resolve it.
25 yr Warranty
I purchased a set of Saucepans / pans which are still under their 25yr warranty. The handles are now starting to become loose, and I wouldn't like to put anything heavy in them incase they come off altogether.
Although I've sent many emails requesting replacement items the customer services just send me round in circles, I even offered to send the pans back to them, at my expense so that they could check.
I have to say that Jean Patrique has gone down in my estimations, and I would advise anyone thinking that the 25yr warranty looks good, to think again.
Poor Customer Service
I placed an order for a vegetable peeler but never got an email confirmation. I called them and they gave me the order no over the phone. I like to have email confirmations on orders as it's easier to track. I emailed them using the info email address asking for a copy of the order. 2 days later no reply. I called customer services and was told to contact the email dept(??) then to email using info, which I said I had done. He said they would reply in the next two days and couldn't wait to get rid of me. I asked if he had my email address but he didn't say anything and hanged up. I finally received my item, a multi blade vegetable peeler, but no instructions, instead, lots of advertising lealfets! I certainly will not use them again.
I bought a set overy happy customer f knives a few years…
I bought a set of knives a few years ago and I love them, I cook for a living so appreciate a goid knife.one of my knives snapped and I was gutted so I emailed jean patrique to find out if I could replace the knife, not only did they replace it free of charge but sent me a whole new set. Customer service is excellent and cannot recommend this company enough
Gives their customer data to scammers
Bought from them a few months ago, a new carving set for my dad, great price for something that looks good quality and had good reviews. But now have been receiving scam calls trying to sign me up to a voucher subscription scheme and has my details (full name, address and supposedly my card details) all from my purchase from jean patrique. Seems like they are giving their customers details to scammers, avoid buying from this company.
Garbage and scammage - beware!
I bought a nice looking, rather expensive but very poor quality kettle from this company a month or so ago; today, I received an unsolicited scam call as a result of my purchase data. M Jean Patrique ... do you think I will EVER buy from you again - pas sur ton Nelly!
Is this a link to postential scammers
I have bought the whatever pan which is brilliant, 2 veg knives one of which I dropped and it snapped clean in half, then a 5 inch what they call a utility knife which is a bigger version of the 3 inch veg knife. It is some months since I bought the items. Today I have just had a call on my landline from a company called Premiere. They said I had bought the utility knife. I pressed them to establish who from and they said Jean Patrique. I realised I had and she offered me £50 in shopping vouchers to be posted to my home. Fine I thought until theywanted me to give card details for a one off delivery charge of £1.99. I obviously disconnected the call. My concern is that are Jean Patrique passing my details on to third parties. If not how did the caller know that I had bought this knife. Not happy. I later that day telephone JP customer services and explained my concern. The agent took details and said she would escalate the issue. To my surprise the agent told me to email the details in to the department she worked for. I told her that I have given her all the details and requested it was passed on to managers above her. I added I had left a review on Trust Pilot and would not repeat the complaint on email.
I love the Whatever Pan
I bought 4 Whatever Pans from this company and I love them! I buy the pan as gifts for all my friends when they move into thier new home! They have some other related items like a BBQ griddle pan and a XL Whatever Pan. Great Company, great items, keep up the good work!
AVOID!
I ordered an item which stated on the website that it was compatible with my hob (induction). When it arrived, it did not work. I originally spoke to somebody who said that it was obviously faulty and I had to return the item. This was the end of the communication. They have not provided information on where or how to return the items. I called three times. First time I was hung up on immediately after stating what the issue was. The second time was told they couldn't help and hung up. The third time was faced with someone who did not hang up (but might as well have) he did not know my details even though I told him multiple times. He then told me I had to return the items to get a refund but again did not tell me how and just told me to email the customer services email. I emailed the customer services email account (AGAIN) and still have not heard anything.
Its hard to say if the items are any good cause I have yet to use them - but would avoid!!
Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service. They apparently don't have details of either of ny orders!!
Selling Your Details
Unprofessional customs, Hi there, I have purchased a few items from this company and tbh I have found that most of the things I bought are basic at most, but what has really ticked me off is that I have just received confirmation that this company sells your personal detail on to a third party, if you are ok with getting tons of junk thanks to Jean Patrique then carry on shopping with them, if you don't want you personal details sold/passed on to a third party then DONOT .
Great products and great company
I have purchased from this company twice, the latest was the electric potato peeler, the previous was the whatever pan. I will use the company again, their order process is great, dispatch and delivery times are fab, communication is brilliant!! Customer services 10/10.
AVOID. Do not respond or refund. Magnetic knife rack did not hold…
Magnetic knife rack did not hold knives. I returned with proof of deliver special delivery and they've still not refunded my money. Don't answer emails. Rubbish customer Service. AVOID Been trying to get a refund since my order on 2nd December 2023. RETURN Order No: 335397.
They sell stuff they don't have and send you something random.
Orders a 16cm pan and they send a 20cm pan expecting me to be happy. (TWICE). I ring them up and start off saying the 20cm pan was what I ordered yet I have the order confirmation proving otherwise. Customer service blamed it on the warehouse who must of updated the order when the pan I wanted was out of stock.
So... they arrange to collect the pan and replace with a correct one. Instead, they refund. This was contrary to the agreed plan and the return paperwork. No communication.
So I tried for a second time to order the 16cm pan and again, they send the 20cm pan. I emailed customer services and got no answer so tried calling them again. The customer service agent was clearly totally confused and refused to accept I had placed two orders. Refused to accept they JP could have possibly changed the order from a 16cm to 20cm, refused to accept I had ordered the 16cm stating it wasn't possible for the warehouse to change the order to a 20cm pan and also refused to accept I had even ordered the pan on a second order. Basically stated I had ordered once and that was refunded, suggesting I was trying to get a second refund out of them.
Finally she found the second order and started to accept that she was not correct but still the damage was done. I had already been made to feel like I was a liar. Still denied it would have been JP that would have changed the order. I even offered to email her the proof. The order confirmations AND the delivery notes showing it had been updated AND photo of the box confirming what had been delivered.
Stated they would make arrangements for the second pan on the second order to be collected but failed to send through the return label for printing despite me chasing for the label by email. The courier tried to collect the pan twice but couldn't take it without the return label that JP to this day still haven't sent.
So I'm left without my money, with a pan that I didn't want, two failed collection attempts and nothing but contempt for the company Jean Patrique and its customer service support.
General rule of thumb for a reasonable company.
1) Don't sell items that you don't have in stock and have no idea when they will be in stock or if they will ever be in stock again.
2) Don't send customers replacement items without without first at least asking if thats ok!
3) Train your team on your systems better so they don't make your customers feel like they are lying when in fact is because they don't know how to find customers orders even when the order numbers are being confirmed to them on the call and providing in writing on email to your hello (@) jean-patrique.co.uk email.
4) If you are going to collect an item and refund a customer their money because you have failed to met your end of the purchase agreement, send them the return label and so you don't waste their time.
5) Don't keep on making the same mistakes and expect your customers to be patient and forgiving.
Orders #346874 and #346288
Next step... dispute with the credit card company. Had enough of JP...
The knives rust, not sharp either, abysmal customer service.
The knives rust! 25 year warranty? They don't cover the warranty in under 18 months. They blame the user for not caring for item properly, even though these were hand washed with soapy water and thoroughly dried. They definitely would fail in dishwasher. I debated with them via Facebook, they had no interest in replacing. I noted another review where jean patrique dismissed the user and said soak them in vinegar! Avoid, cheaper options at much better quality available. They were never that sharp either, even after manually sharpening them.
Poor Customer Service.
Poor Customer Service.
Sent several emails trying to return defective items out of box and no response.
AVOID/CAREFUL! THIS PAN DANGEROUS TO USE…
I purchased the All in One Pan about 2 weeks ago because advertised as light & could do everything. FirsT use, I cooked asparagus before my steak which i like rare. Pan was so hot, on lowest heat (gas) that the asparagus still burnt....had to discard that; cooked steak....which was ok. However, the REALdownside is..this pan becomes dangerously hot. There is nowhere on the pan to hold it.. to turn around, or lift...even the lid's knob becomes too hot to handle. I burnt my fingers/ hand on the handles. Turned pan off, put silicone handles grips on, but within a few seconds they were as hot as the handles & burnt my hand again. Had to hold hands under cold water taps for some time. Used a dish cloth folded over 4 times (still with silicone covers over handles) to move the pan to the sink to soak (clouds of sizzling steam)! Next day, thinking maybe me, I tried another dish in their booklet, to the letter....food stuck, & same heat problem with pan & silicone handles; had to soak pan overnight to remove food . Their advertising photos are misleading...I challenge anyone to lift that pan from hob to sink without gloves to clean it. Their is a CAUTION about the pan, which the company thinks probably covers them! This is an accident waiting to happen. I contacted the company immediately, outlining the problems; I am partially disabled recovering from two ops. & needed a courier collection. Only received a Generic reply quoting the "Caution & 100 day money back Guarantee." Very unhelpful, impersonal, uncaring. No wonder it is on sale at very reduced price. Back to all my old pans now, some with handles I can actually hold. I guess I'm "stuck" with it now. P>S> We are all knowledgeable cooks!
Please do not allow children anywhere near this pan.
Dangerous small kettle being sold.
Purchased a small kettle for use on gas stove. The kettle is small 1.6L it has a folding handle.
Unfortunately this design is unsafe and dangerous to use. When you try to pour out boiling water the handle wobbles about and spills the boiling water everywhere.
Poor design as the handle does not lock in the upright position the rivets are no more than a bent paper clip.
“Not fit for purpose” and it is dangerous.
I emailed Customer service manager Luke Green twice and I also emailed the support team as well as phoning the customer service line.
Spoke with Anas who tried to help but was unable because he had no access to the emails.
I requested a call back from a more senior member one who could actually help with the refund and also supplying a prepaid returns label. Still waiting!
