Great removals team, they all worked tirelessly all day in the most horrific weather.

We based our exchange date on jeakin’s removals’ availability and when it came to the filling out the final paperwork, i was very casually told that they could no longer accommodate our date.
I researched the company, fully backed the fact it was family owned (and was prepared to pay more to support this!).
Very disappointed by the lack of apology and lack of clarity - has caused us a lot of stress as a result.

I booked Jeakins to undertake the packing up of my house and moving to my new home.
Moving house is a very stressful experience so a good removal company is a must.
The two gentlemen who packed up my house were brilliant, they were polite and took good care of packing up the items in my home. They had my home all packed up quite quickly.
The team arrived promptly the next day to pack up the house and move me to my new home.
I received good customer service from the office team, I had to reschedule my move several times due to conveyancing issues and not once did they make an issue of this but were always understanding and supportive.

Right form the initial enquiry - really helpful and professional - On moving day the boys were brilliant cannot recommend Jeakins highly enough. You made a very stressful day really really easy & stress free - thank you...

This is our second time using Jeakins removals and I cannot recommend them enough. Workmen were courteous, hard working and extremely efficient. Also great value for your money. They honestly take away a lot of the stress from moving. Very happy and would always use Jeakins

Jeakins Removals, they were both professional and friendly. All the team worked hard and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend them.

We have recently moved from Essex to Lincolnshire and can say that Jeakins made the move as simple and stress free as possible, for and all in price they supplied the packing boxes and materials we needed, we could have opted for their packing service, but didn't need it this time.
Their expertise dismantling and covering our sofas was better than the company we purchased the sofas from, they took great care of our hardwood furniture and glass display cabinets and all the numerous boxes we packed ourselves.
The team who arrived of Lewis Jordan were assisted by two colleagues, (sorry I forgot your names) worked so well together to carefully pack our home into their removal van, they even had space for our indoor and outdoor potted garden plants.
The experience unloading was as stress free as the load, they reassembled the beds and sofas and placed them where we needed them in the new home, we just now have the boxes to unpack ourselves

Jeakins were amazing from start to finish. They came round quickly and gave a highly competitive quote and then got everything organised in time when I ended up exchanging 2 working days before completion. The guys on the day were brilliant and worked so hard to move everything carefully in a positive, friendly way. I used them last time I moved 22 years ago and would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to a friend.

I was recommended Jeakins, and was really happy with the professionalism of the company. The initial visit put us at ease and quote was fair considering the size of the move. We had to keep changing the dates and they were understanding and never put out with the changes. If they could help make the move easier they would.
We had a two day move and our belongings were stored in their yard in Laindon. We visited there office to drop off paperwork and the security looked reassuring.
Over the two days their staff worked hard and carefully, nothing was damaged.
We chose to box all our own items but did get them to dismantle and erect the beds which was well worth paying for. We were absolutely knackered and greatful just to go to bed easily.
I would highly recommend using Jeakins and have already passed their details onto to others.

Michelle and the guys who moved us were the only part of our relocation which was stress free!!

We have recently moved and wanted to say that Jeakins did a fantastic job from our very first visit from Michelle until the the time the guys departed our new house. We were given a great price to move everything we had from a four bed home. This even included all the packing boxes and bubble wrap.The removal men were fantastic. They worked so hard and took all the stress out of moving, which we had done ourselves three times before. I couldn’t fault Jeakins and would highly recommend them.

From the initial contact with Will who came to quote the whole Jeakins experience was flawless. Derek the packer, nothing was missed and nothing was broken. Thanks very much Derek. The guys who did the move-Dave, Reg and Freddie arrived early on the day and worked very hard and with good humour. At the other end they had to wait a little while until the keys were released and this didn't faze them. They unloaded the truck placed everything where they were asked to. All whilst keeping up a stream of good humoured banter. Great guys. And the best part-Jeakins are coming back next week to remove the packing boxes! I have no problem recommending Jeakins at all. Great service delivered by great people.

We have just moved with Michelle and the team at Jeakins.
The quote was very reasonable compared to others we received and covered everything from boxes to packing materials, rails and insurance.
The boys worked non stop on the day to get everything done and communication between us and Vicky in the office was great leading up to the move.
Would definitely recommend.

Superb company , very helpful ..

I am disabled and my husband had an operation recently so we needed all the help we can get. We wanted a package and removal service. We got quotes from a number of companies but Jeakins was the cheapest and didn't add extras for taking apart and assembly beds etc.

They packed the day before move so all was ready for loading truck the next day. That helped reduce our stress levels.

They teams sent on both days were brilliant. Very friendly, polite and took care of our pocessions which were alot.

Highly recommend.

My family and I used Jeakins for our removal in mid December 2024. Two bed house in Brentwood to four bed in Chelmsford.

To preface this review - the three removal men (NAMES WITHELD) worked tirelessly, were friendly and so hard working and were amazing. My husband and I were so impressed we doubled the tip we originally planned to give them.

The issues lay with the office - again names withheld - although Jeakins, I find it strange in your positive reviews you are more than happy to leave names of your employees but flag those that are negative????

I booked in a quote back in October alongside a few others and went with Jeakins due to their no nonsense approach and years of experience - they were also very competitive price-wise.

After accepting the quote and paying the deposit, we decided to buy a recliner chair for our new property (we decided to send it back in the end anyway).
Out of courtesy I emailed the office to ask whether they could add this onto our two booked vans, and mentioned we had cleared a lot of junk from the loft and garage so the space should be more than evened out.

Unbeknownst to me until the day of our removal, on the back of this email and without confirming anything to me - the lady in the office had removed the entire contents of our loft and garage from our quotation. I would add despite this, the price remained the exact same.

On the day of our removal (a highly stressful day in itself) I was then informed by the removal guys that there was no note for moving any garage or loft contents. They told me it happened frequently and errors like this were common. Eventually after several irate phonecalls with the office, it became clear the error that had been made.

As a result, only one van had been sent instead of two. The guys worked wonders to pack in our belongings and we managed to get most in except 15 garden plant pots and some garage items we could live without.

Luckily our buyer was extremely understanding and my husband, the boys and I moved them into the garage for collection "later that day" I was promised. I was not offered this solution, I suggested sourcing another van.

Two days later, after chasing - the van finally arrived and unloaded the last of our belongings.

I have yet to receive any apology, or form of compensation offer considering we paid for two vans and only had one, never mind the added stress and hassle we dealt with.

I would advise if you do use Jeakins be aware. Put everything in writing and double check your removal details before the date arrives.

Our 2nd move with Jeakins and excellent once again. These guys work hard, never moan are helpful and solve all the tricky challenges. Our garden furniture was taken down the narrow sideway and along a fence to save taking it all to pieces - brilliant. Thanks to Dave, Billy and Harry for a job well done.

Today was our moving day and I can not thank Gordon and Bill enough for how hard they work, how smooth and quickly they packed and unloaded the house/s.

Michelle was great to quote and review our job at such late notice following being let down by another company.

I was let down by another company at the last minute and Michelle at Jeakins got me out of a very bad situation by removing all my furniture within a few hours of me phoning so I could move out and let the new owners move in. The removal guys were brilliant at making sure all my belongings fit on the lorry safely and securely. I was moving from Essex to Dublin and they kept my belongings safe and secure while they waited for the Irish company they use to be able to finish the journey to me in Dublin. Michelle and Vicky made sure all the customs paperwork was done as quick as possible so I wasn't waiting too long for my goods to arrive. They really got me out of a very tricky situation and for that I will always be grateful.
