I found the Chislehurst Team highly professional and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble and I wouldn’t hesitate to either use them again or recommend them to others.

The best way in the world to find a dentist and estate agent!
Suppose you wanted to find the best dentist in Eltham. You’d ask friends, neighbours and family and if one name came up more than, say, 2/3 times choosing would be a piece of cake. Same holds true if you’re looking for a home. So when our family said Kelly over at JDM did an amazing job for us we rang up, chatted and watched a Rolls spring into action on our behalf. Like dentistry, house hunting can be gut-wrenching but at no time did we not feel like we were the most important clients in Eltham.
PS As good as it gets!

We recently sold our house through JDM at Petts wood. The whole team were smart, informative and professional from start to finish. Selling your home of 20+years is an emotional journey so we wanted to find the right buyers and have a great experience for us and our buyers. This wish was embraced by JDM and our family home has now passed onto a new family who we hope will enjoy their time in the same way we have.
We didn't feel any pressure from the sales team to just accept an offer and move on which made us feel like we mattered and were not just another sales statistic. Thanks to all the team.
READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING A TENANCY WITH JDM – PROCEED WITH CAUTION
I had a short but truly appalling experience renting a property through JDM. They are unprofessional and irresponsible, putting both mine and my 4 year old daughter’s life at serious risk by renting out a property with major health and safety issues.
I viewed the flat in early June. Mark from JDM was the agent handling the process. While everything was going smoothly, he was friendly & responsive eager to get me moved in quickly, two weeks later I picked the keys up.
That’s where the nightmare began.
Upon entering the flat the conditions were shocking. The place stank overwhelmingly of dirty dog throughout and there was musty cigarette smell lingering in the bathroom. The walls were heavily marked and stained, every surface grimy.
There was mould in both bedrooms and kitchen area round the windows and on walls. Bathroom tiles and ceiling were coated in what looked like built up brown cigarette smoke residue. The carpets were stained and stunk coated in visible amounts of matted dog hair. There was flaking blown plaster on the ceiling of what was meant to be my daughter’s room, and most seriously the child safety locks on this top floor flat windows did not work.
This was my first rental experience and it couldn't have gone worse due there negligent actions. Upon receiving the keys I was completely shaken up my mother phoned Mark to raise our concerns. His tone shifted immediately gone was the friendliness. Instead he was frankly rude, dismissive and patronising despite JDM and the Landlord clearly being in the wrong.
I have over 100 phoots documenting the filthy, uninhabitable state of the flat including the hazardous issues yet JDM diminished my concerns, insisting they had an invoice from a cleaner as if this meant the place was in it was acceptable condition. It was frankly vile I couldn't move in.
A tradesman visited to see the immense amount of works needing to be done, but following his visit for the next days I heard nothing from JDM. No update and no repairs, I was left with the keys to a filthy unsafe property unable to move my stuff in. The emotional toll on my daughter, myself and my family has been absolutely awful.
With all these issues my father who is a former building surveyor with 40+ years of experience visited the flat. What he found was horrifying: the front door was not fire safety compliant . It was a cheap, flimsy hollow internal Wickes door not the FD30 fire rated door legally required for such flats. If a fire had broken out, there would have been no protection at all.
My father and myself contacted Annie, the supposed property manager from JDM.
Again zero accountability was shown. They even tried to claim the door was compliant, sending the flat conversation plans and a 10 year old invoice the landlord had for FD30 doors. I don't know if there were trying to cover up their negligence or if they simply are so incompetent and ignorant that they have idea about the standards of the properties they rent out. Once proven they were wrong they simply said "the door didn't match their records". When asked who was responsible for making sure the properties JDM lets out were meet health and safety regulations, they couldn't give an answer.
After less than a week of this chaos without ever moving in the landlord suggested terminating the tenancy. This was a clear sign that they knew how serious their failings were. Yet JDM still had the audacity to try and charge me for a week's rent !!
I refused, their conduct has been nothing short of outrageous.
In summary my tenancy with this agency lasted total of 8 days. This whole situation has caused huge stress, financial strain, and emotional damage.
I would urge anyone (especially families!) to stay away from JDM.
Do not risk your safety, your wellbeing, or your sanity with this agency.

Gave up on this agent after 6 weeks
We decided to try JDM as they have been around for years, what a mistake. The only time we spoke to anyone was at valuation and in first 6 weeks, contact was by email only when I had to ask them to write more than one line about the property on the Rightmove main listing. I wrote it myself in the end. The photos were not special and having uploaded my text they changed the photo 'by mistake' to the most awful one of a winter back garden instead of the front of the house which is one of its good selling points. I had to ask for this to be changed. No viewings in 6 weeks but not surprised. I asked for a better description on the actual Rightmove listing and they did eventually do this but by now and 6 weeks in, we gave up and gave notice to cancel. No email acknowledgements from the Bromley Office or the HQ in Locksbottom who I also emailed. So had 6 weeks left to go on the contract but no chance of a sale. Avoid if possible.

The property was falsely advertised as available but was no doubt "under wraps" Lizzie did not exist ( did not eventuate!) Previously this agent also undervalued my property by 80,000 compared with other market estimates

Amazing buying experience
We bought a house in Eltham and the experience with Scott, Galena and Jake was amazing! Their recommended solicitor was also very prompt. We finished the entire transaction in less than 3 months. Scott facilitated all the discussions with sellers amicably and we are happy overall how things went.

I recently sold my home through JDM. Initially we were going to use another local agent, but we felt they weren't particularly good. Turns out they weren't, so choosing JDM was a good choice. From day one Scott was fantastic. We had to move quickly to get our home on the market and Scott organised a really good photographer to come at short notice. The quality of the images was top notch, really made our home shine. That's what you want when selling! Communication was great and Scott had viewers through my door before the house had even been marketed. Shout out to Jake too who was very helpful and gave me regular calls with updates and feedback. All in all a great experience. I would 100% recommend JDM Estate Agents Eltham anyone local looking to sell and I will not be using anyone else in the future if I need to sell again.

Obviously, they misdirected her and because of them I had to move out, found higher rent etc. The most disappointing moment was when they requested one day extra rent while moving out, even my landlord laughed and rejected it. Interesting to see how they are still around…

Fantastic service, above and beyond!
My daughter and niece had to arrange moving into a new flat very quickly, and did so via the Greenwich office of JDM. The whole process took less than a week, and whilst there was as always a lot of paperwork to complete, whenever we had a question or an issue Pat was an absolute superstar and helped every step of the way - often responding to emails well outside of office hours as she knew about the tight timelines. Pat, you were brilliant! Mark was also very helpful and responsive when it came to references etc. I honestly cannot fault the service the team provided - thank you very much indeed.
Thoroughly professional
Only viewed one rental property with the JDM Greenwich office but was highly impressed. E-mail and telephone communications to arrange this viewing went very smoothly indeed. Although the flat did not ultimately match my requirements, special mention should be made of the charming and personable Alex, who was also understanding when I was slightly delayed and very helpful when it came to answering my questions about the rental market. Overall, this company struck me as being a cut above other estate agencies.
