fine products (soldering and plastic cutting tools) and efficient after sale service
I did buy in +/- 1968 a soldering iron Engel Löter 60 S1 (gift from my grandmother : i was a teenager discovering electronics !). On that time, it was the best quality-price soldering iron sold on professional local electronic store.
It was a very useful tool for my electronic and electricity works, and i did use it very often since 56 years.
In 7/2024, the inside switch did break...
The plastic of the switch, 56 years old, spread into few parts, probably due to time and heath exposure.
All other parts are completely safe due to very good quality maker choices.
I search on internet for the spare part and did ask HSGM (actual maker) where i can buy it.
They ask my post adress and send me within 4 days the spare part switch for free.
They change the quality of the plastic into better resistance, and the specific switch did perfect fit into his place.
I just had to solder the 2 wires to the new switch, with a friend soldering iron.
I just want to notify their fair play after sale service, and the remaining of this fine product in their production.
It is still known as one of the best soldering iron within electronicians.
They also developed large variety plastic cutting tools, from the same improved base.
No need to change it : it is among the best.
Thanks to them again for their good after sale service. They really desserve the five stars !
