Trudie in the office, and Matthew (engineer) could not have been more helpful. I had been in contact with them regarding a routine service, but then had a problem that was urgent. They both went over and above to get the problem resolved for me, while listening to my concerns throughout. I felt heard and reassured and both kept in contact throughout.

contacted them twice by telephone and once by Webform recently No response. Probably as I'm coming to the end of the 12 years where I can ditch them ,they feel no obligation to respond or provide any service. Looking back over the years ,if I had bought my boiler for cash and signed up with British Gas I would have saved a lot of money

Edited to say I have now had a reply after spending all day phoning and emailing.
The lady who spoke to my husband has said we will be able to have an engineer visit in 7 days time. It is January and we are cold. I would not say this is hassle free and considering the amount of money paid in service and repair plan I think it’s absolutely disgraceful.
Value for money - definitely not

Hopefully this will land with the team that oversee the gents who have recently visited.
In brief after not really having a boiler that worked correctly for many years is now sorted, working like it should do, instant hot water on request.
It’s not very often you get fantastic service, Great communication, engineers turning up when they said they would, sorted the problem offered some great advice and now it’s working like a dream.
In a world where everyone complains I thought it would only be fair to highlight fantastic service.

Hassle free boilers is anything BUT…
Hassle free boilers is anything BUT hassle free. I’ve been with them for about 8 years now and trying to get them to come and even service our boiler the last couple of years has been a nightmare. Funny enough they’re quick enough to take our money every month, but give nothing in return.
Thank you for your reply but i have done both emailed and telephoned several times. I’m looking to end our contract with you as the contract is not being honoured. I’ll try one last time to email as a good will gesture on our part.

I contacted hassle free boilers who we have been with for some years. I had an issue with water from outlet pipe and system switching off and needing top ups frequently to get heat back in. The next day the engineer contacted me, talked through the problem and likely issue. He arranged for a colleague to come out the next day and fixed in same day. Absolutely brilliant engineer really helpful friendly and job sorted so quickly. Excellent service and support !
THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH
Terrible Customer Service, takes ages to arrange boiler services, and refuse to update thermostat as the old one is now not able to work as sold to me due to becoming obsolete and no longer supported by Nest. What the hell am I paying for?? AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. You only have to look at Facebook to see all the bad reviews.

More than a Hassle!!!
We have an agreement with Hasslefree where they fitted a boiler and we pay a monthly fee, which covered the boiler fitting and guaranteed an annual service and should any repairs be required this would be covered. Initially the service was as advertised but after a couple of years, we had to chase for the annual service (and sometimes it never happened). We've had a couple of occasions when boiler has stopped working and therefore expected our service contract to provide the service paid for.... Not so we've had to email constantly to chase for appointments, the phones are never answered, then if an engineer is booked they don't turn up, it is a lot of "HASSLE" and stress. It seems that the business is no longer set up to provide the service they are being paid for, the staff in the office Jacob and Trudie try to do the best they can without organisation behind them to support. (I note that if I stopped paying because of the lack of service it seems you will immediately be pushed to a debt collection agency, but as a customer we have no protection or opportunity for compensation for poor poor poor service.) Think more than twice about entering into an agreement with this company we cannot wait to get to the end of our contract and not have to endure service hell.
HFB redemption!
After being continually frustated in getting the boiler serviced, I left a damning review for HFB. Jacob picked up on this, contacted me and apologised. He quickly arranged for an heating engineer to visit, and service the boiler over two visits (it had a complete strip down service).
Now I have confidence the boiler is in fine working order, ready for the winter months. Thanks Jacob, you restored my faith back in HFB.
Absolutely awful company
Absolutely awful company! Completely rip you off and still expect money each month!! My boilef has continually broke, leaving me with no hot water or heating. 4 times in 22 months ever time I'm left without heating or hot water for days/ week at a time. Contract states if you ring b4 10am with a problem with your boiler sn engineer will come out the same day.. ha! Absolutely crap. No yearly boiler checks have ever been done!! At one point an engineer told me my boiler was fitted dangerously! Avoid not worth the money or effort!!

We have been trying to get a service done since nov 24. No one has answered the phone or emails that we have sent we are stuck because they have attached to mortgage and that has to be paid in full . We have to pay £48 per month for the next 18 months. Alsowe are trying to renovate our kitchen and will need to move the boiler because they didn’t fit it where we asked them to. Absolutely distrusted with this company worst thing we ever did
Timely professional service
Got an immediate response from Jacob to my email requesting a service as it had been a couple of years since the last one. Service date and time agreed within 10mins of me contacting them.
The engineer arrived on time no issues at all with the service provided.

Boiler service? What boiler service??
This is now the 4th time I’ve taken time off work to have a boiler service and the 4th time there has been a ‘no show’ from any engineer! This has been an ongoing issue since September 2024 when I tried to book a service which was already almost 2 years overdue!
I put a stop to all direct debit payments until this was sorted as I advised them I would. I agreed to pay the backlog off moneys (after HFB passed my owed debt to a Credit agency) and was promised an engineer would be with me now my account was back upto date. And I’m still waiting! This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of working with. How bloody difficult is it for them to keep to their agreement???
